A JOINT PRESS RELEASE BY LAGOS STATE INDIGENOUS STUDENTS ASSOCIATION IN COMMISERATION WITH OUR FALLEN HEROES We the Indigenous Students of Lagos State condemn in totality the use of unnecessary FORCE on peaceful protesters in the state. We show solidarity and also enjoin viva voce with the protesters (and their demands) across different parts of the states because the majority of us are youths. The Protest remains very important at this time as for all times as there is no recommended time to demand for a better leadership and good governance for our dear country, Nigeria. The government have many times tagged the hoodlums disturbing the state as protesters. We rather recommend that the government make proper investigation into the furore that is burning the nation in it's scrotum. As we remain resolute that the protesters are peaceful people. The unfortunate incidence at Lekki makes one ask, 'why the show of force by the Military" "why the downpour of shrapnels" on people with the Nigeria Flag chorusing the nation's national anthem, for whom you have sworn to 'uphold her honour and glory' , the same Nigerian flag you have desecrated with your bullets and blood of Nigerian Citizens. This only flashes back to the colonial times when state forces are set up to be anti-people . According to some credible media outlet, it was said that the attack was led by one Brig. Gen F O Omata, we hence insist that this be investigated and the truth be brought to fore. To the fallen heroes(our fallen heroes), we pray that your efforts shall not be in vain. May your gentle souls rest in perfect peace and your spirits avenge your death(without mincing words). It was indeed a Black Tuesday (20 - 10 - 20) in Lagos, the tears have not stopped flowing. We plead with our brothers and sisters who are angered to please de-escalate, retreat to re-strategize and PLEASE put a stop to the destruction of State Properties. We want to remind us all that these properties were not built with politicians money but our hard earned taxes and state resources. As it is, Lagos Stands as the fifth largest economy in Africa and the destruction of the State's properties will only bring the state economic ruin thereby doing the bidding of some enemies (local and international) who want the country to deteriorate the more. We have also studied how innocents have suffered for the sins of our leaders, some residential houses have been engulfed by flame while the innocents are held in flames. Workers in these affected building whose sin is only to go out to make ends meet and are victims of circumstance. We hereby appeal to our brothers and sisters, the best generation of youths in the history of this country who stood their grounds regardless of the attacks to please desist from further destruction of state properties. The properties remain ours. WE ARE THE GOVERNMENT, WE PAID FOR THEM. We also use this avenue to call on the state government to take responsibility for the occurrence as we believe that the curfew declared led to those attacks on our fellows by people who care less about the destruction that is replete everywhere in the state. We call on the Governor of Lagos , Mr Babajide SanwoOlu, Please take charge and deescalate the destruction in Lagos. E-signed: Nul. Okoya Basirat Bisola President, NULASS NATIONAL Nul. Naijaloaded do not verify their news before they post them and they are not people attentive in their media most especially about Lagos State University (LASU).. Till today, Lagos State University (LASU) have an existing hostel, just after Faculty of Social Sciences in Ojo Campus. Ikeja campus (College Of Medicine and School of Nursing) have a befitting hostel. Epe Campus (Faculty of Engineering and School of Agriculture) have their own massive hostel. Thanks to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu who just signed the deal to build a larger hostel in Ojo Campus that will accommodate the whole students in Ojo Campus with the existing ones. I think you can differentiate between my explanations and their own post, titled 'Breaking News: LASU Set To Get First Hostel After 36 Years'. I hope you'll agree with me that their post is absolutely not correct. Some months ago, they reported that a law student of Lasu died while reading in night class while other media tendered apology and made a correction to that claim, Naijaloaded did not respond to our messages sent to them to inform them of their wrong claim nor retract their post. So unprofessional of Naijaloaded.. Even with their claim by the CPS to the Governor, Gboyega Akosile. The gentleman never mentioned first hostel since creation of Lasu Naijaloaded should always verify their news before posting them and if they do they should be attentive to correct any mistake if it arise

Yoruba Get Approval To Establish Security Outfit, Governors in the six Southwest states are putting finishing touches to the inauguration of a joint regional security outfit codenamed Western Nigeria Security Network (WNSN). This followed the Approval in Principle given by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) for the zone to establish a Joint Task Force (JTF) to tackle killings, banditry and kidnapping in the Southwest. The governors rose from a security summit in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital in July, where they decided to defend their domain. A source close to the project confided in The Nation on Sunday that the six governors had procured the patrol vans to be used by the outfit in readiness for the launch by October. The source added that the vehicles would be used in each state as branches of the regional outfit with a regional management team to coordinate its activities across the region. The regional management team would ensure exchange of intelligence and sharing of experiences for maximum performance. According to the source, the WNSN will be made up of unconventional security personnel, including local hunters and members of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) as well as other related personnel. They will work with traditional rulers and relate with the police on specific engagements, including prosecution of arrested suspects. Their relationship with the police is also to ensure that they operate within the ambits of the law. The WNSN members are to comb forests and monitor activities in urban neighbourhoods to support the conventional security operatives. Insecurity heightened in the region in June and July with the incidents reaching an alarming rate on the Ibadan-Ikire-Ife Road, Ilesa-Akure Road and roads in Akoko area of Oyo, Osun and Ondo states respectively. The fear generated by the incidents prompted the governors of Ondo, Oyo, Osun, Lagos, Ogun and Ekiti states to come together to seek a regional approach to tackling the menace. They directed the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission to organise a security summit to generate ideas on how to develop a regional blueprint to tackle the growing concern. http://soyiga.com/2019/08/26/yoruba-get-approval-to-establish-security-outfit/#vuukle-emote

Labour May Resume Strike Over Minimum Wage. The organised Labour have alerted Nigerians that plans were underway to embark on industrial action if the current state of affairs as regards the issue of consequential adjustment arising from the new national Minimum wage of N30,000 per month remains the same. It is operating under the aegis of the Trade Union Side (TUS) of the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council (JNPSNC); the eight Unions in the Public Services of the Federal and 36 State Governments. In a press statement in Abuja on Monday, the TUS Acting Chairman, Mr Anchaver Simon, and the Secretary, Mr Alade Lawal, expressed disappointment by government’s effort to derail the implementation of a new National Minimum Wage. “As things are right now, the government side is only prepared to pay peanuts to workers as adjustment under the pretext that it will soon be undertaking general salary review in the Public Service.” The committee on Consequential Adjustment of Salary agreed to set up a technical body to work out different scenarios in respect of salaries that would be paid to workers who are in the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) that draw their emoluments from the government treasury. The technical committee met severally and series of computations that were to be presented for the plenary for consideration were developed. The labour leaders stated that the TUS had initially proposed that since the minimum wage was increased by 66.66 per cent; from N18,000.000 to N30,000.00, salaries for officers on Grade Levels 01-17 should be adjusted accordingly to maintain the relativity that exists in the salary structure in the Public Service. “But when the Government side argued that such increase across board would raise the total wage bill too high, the TUS side reviewed its demand downward and eventually settled for 30 per cent for officers on Grade Levels 07-14 and 25 per cent for those on Grade Levels 15-17. “The Government side on its part was insisting on 9.5 per cent salary raise for employees on Grade Levels 07-14 and 5 per cent for those on Grade Levels 15-17. “The two sides then agreed to capture the two positions in the technical committee’s report which will now be presented for discussion at the plenary.” According to the TUS, it received a rude shock at the last meeting of the Technical Committee when the government side began to hold on to a non-existent position that the Technical Committee’s term of reference was to base its assignment in respect of salary adjustment on what was provided for it in the 2019 budget. It regretted that the implication of Government’s position was that the Technical Committee cannot go beyond what the Government was pushing for which is 9.5 per cent salary increase for officers on GL 07-14 and 5 per cent for those on GL 15-17. “With this turn of event, it is quite clear now that some fifth columnists in this Administration are hell bent on pushing President Muhammadu Buhari to enter into a collision course with millions of Nigerian workers in the Public Service. This is very sad,” the Union stated. The TUS recalled that after the Ama Pepple committee recommended N30,000 monthly new National Minimum Wage, the Government Side went to the press to announce that the negotiation was inconclusive. It thereafter sent N27,000 and N30,000 monthly National Minimum Wage proposal to the National Council of State and the National Assembly. “The latter approved N30,000 as the new monthly National Minimum Wage before President Buhari signed it into law on April 18. http://soyiga.com/2019/07/02/laspotech-management-appeal-to-striking-members-to-respect-court-order/ “It is indeed perplexing that political office holders whose monthly take home pay runs into millions of Naira are the ones working behind the scene to ensure that Public Service employees especially core Civil Servants continue to receive starvation wages. “This is why the eight Trade Unions in the Public Service have resolved that enough is enough and that if the Federal Government fails to call its officials to order and direct them to negotiate openly the issue of Consequential Adjustment arising from the new National Minimum Wage, millions of workers at the Federal and 36 States Public Services will have no other alternative than to take some necessary Trade Union actions to seek redress. “The time for President Buhari to act is now,” the Union emphasised. Meanwhile, a meeting of officials of the TUS of the http://soyiga.com/2019/07/02/labour-may-resume-strike-over-minimum-wage/

Laspotech Management Appeal To Striking Members To Respect Court Order . Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) management led by Mr. Sogunro Samut(The Institution’s Rector) has called on the striking members of staff to have a rethink on their planned attacks on the Academic staff and also urged them to abide by the Order of the National Industrial Court which directed them to maintain peace on the campuses of the Polytechnic. The CONSTISS 15 Migration crisis, which has pitched the management against the staff members, especially the non-academic Union, had led the aggrieved staff members to institute a court action against the Lagos State Government and the Polytechnic Management at the National Industrial Court for redress and the court directed the parties to maintain peace on the campus. In a release signed by Olanrewaju K. Kuye, Deputy Registrar (Information and Public Relations) of the Polytechnic, the institution’s management appeals to the ‘striking staff members’ to jettison their alleged planned attack on the academic staff members that have been going about their duties and ensuring that the academic calendar is not truncated. According to the release, the call became necessary following the alleged incitement by a reporter of Radio Lagos/Eko FM at the press conference organized by the non-academic staff. A voice recording of the alleged incitement is in possession of THE IMPACT. The release states thus: “The Management made this call in reaction to an audio recording making rounds in which one Muyiwa Kalejaiye from Radio Lagos/Eko FM was inciting the non-academic against the academic staff members who have been working to ensure that the academic calendar is not truncated, that innocent students graduate on time and the finalists are mobilised for the compulsory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) exercise. “In the same vein, the striking members of the polytechnic are advised to respect the freedom of Association and allow the academic staff members and other willing staff members to continue their primary assignments without any form of molestation or harassment”. Mr. Kuye stated that Mr Salami Gbenga, the only academic staff member amongst the ‘few striking staff members ’ is no longer the Vice Chairman of the academic union. “The Management wishes to state that, Mr Salami Gbenga, who is the only academic staff member amongst the few striking staff members and who parades himself as the Vice Chairman of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), has ceased to be an Executive member of the academic Union owing to the dissolution of the Union Executive in 2017, hence he is advised to stop indulging and instigating the non- academi http://soyiga.com/2019/07/02/laspotech-management-appeal-to-striking-members-to-respect-court-order/

Ngige Support SouthEast for Senate Presidency But Reject Okorocha Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige has thrown his weight behind the quest that the Senate President’s position should go to the South East. In an interview with Sunday Sun, Ngige, a former governor of Anambra State, said that both Dr Orji Uzor Kalu and Senator Ben Uwajimogu are fully qualified for the position and should be considered by their party, APC. Salis To Challenge Lagos Election Ngige said: “We have those that are ranking now. We have Ben Uwajimogu, he is now a two-term Senator, he is coming back from the ruling party. “We have Dr Orji Uzor Kalu. Orji Uzor Kalu was a Federal Assembly legislator during the military regime, it’s counted, because it was a National Assembly, so he has got some ranking. “Therefore, Orji Uzor Kalu is also qualified. Okorocha’s case will be determined before then. Ngige Support SouthEast for Senate Presidency But Reject Okorocha “We now have some senators unlike the last time when we had zero non-party senator coming from the Southeast. There was nobody at all. So, the Southeast should definitely be in the equation, I mean the proportion of Senate presidency.” Ngige also spoke of the just concluded general elections, condemning the violence that trailed the polls in some states. Denying S’East Senate President will Lead to Renewed Agitation in The Region – Bello The convener of Project for National Accommodation, as well as an activist and advocator for peaceful coexistence, Osaretin Bello, supports the Southeast for the position of Senate President. Although he hails from the South-south, he said in the interest of peace, justice and fairness, the Southeast should be considered first before any region for the position. Denying Southeast Senate Presidency Will Lead To New Agitation – Bello Bello argued: “I don’t see any reason the Southeast particularly would not be accommodated in this APC-led government because if you see the outcome of the elections, there is significant improvement from the 2015 in 2019 in terms of voter demography. However, the Southeast deserves a principal position. Like the South-south, they are being accommodated by being given the chairmanship position, the Southwest has the vice president, the Northwest has the president. “The Northeast has the SGF. These are principal positions and, of course, the Northeast as well has the current Speaker. So, there is nothing bad if the Southeast is being compensated with the position of Senate President. Denying Southeast Senate Presidency Will Lead To New Agitation – Bello “We have Senators who are credible from the Southwest region. The Southeast was left out in 2015 because they never had a senator elected on the platform of the APC, but now we have senators elected on the platform of the APC. How OGD was forced out of politics “We have Rochas Okorocha; we have Orji Uzor Kalu, who is a ranking parliamentarian. Mind you, he was in the House of Representatives before. So, this time around, there are no excuses. The Southeast rightly deserves that position of the Senate President. “Not giving it to them will lead to a lot of agitations and disharmony in the country. It will look as if a certain party or characters of persons are not needed in a given political space. And I don’t think that is good for our democracy. Democracy is all encompassing. We must have the open hand to accommodate all and sundry. In politics, you work from the position of strength to the position of weakness and we use that as a bait to bring everybody to the centre. Denying Southeast Senate Presidency Will Lead To New Agitation – Bello “Mind you, the Southeast holds the economic nerve of this country at hand. They have contributed a lot and in 2015, most of these actors that I have just mentioned were not there. Now that they are on board, what are we talking about? They must be carried along.” Read More, Click Here http://soyiga.com/2019/03/17/denying-southeast-senate-presidency-will-lead-to-new-agitation-bello/

The Downfall Of Gov. Okorocha, A Bitter Lesson To Greedy Igbo Politicians Downfall of Okorocha, a bitter lesson to politicians Written By Wisdom Nwedene It is no longer news that Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, a Nigerian businessman, education philanthropist and politician didn’t collect his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission for allegedly holding the returning officer of the commission hostage and forced him to declare a winner under duress. It is also pertinent to note that Governor Rochas Okorocha’s Son-in-law, Uche Nwosu also lost the Governorship election of Imo State to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Emeka Ihedioha. Downfall of Okorocha, a bitter lesson to politicians It’s a big blow to the governor who I used to respect and admire when he was elected in 2011. Back then, I see a man full of life, a man who has the imolites at heart, a man who gave scholarships to needy and ready to change the narrative of Imo State. Southeast shouldn’t be denied for Senate Presidency, Click to Read More But something happened when he got elected back for his second term in office. Greed stepped in. Greed made him to actually want to impose his Son-in-law to the Imolites even when it is crystal clear that the people have rejected him. Anybody that knows the history of Ndigbo especially during the colonial master will know that the Igbos hate absolute monarchy. In fact, it has never had sufficient reign in Igboland. Why? You may ask This is because of the presence of sacerdotal institutions of checks and balance. Igbos are not like the Yorubas, Hausa-fulani who one person or few cabal will hold on to power and determine what an entire state will do. Also, Okorocha has reduced himself to a comedian and that is why he has been “Iberiberized”. Let me clearly state here that Okorocha’s political career is dead in Igbo land and he should also forget about his 2023 presidential ambitious because it’s dead on arrival too. The downfall of Okorocha, a bitter lesson to greedy Igbo politicians like him. Click below link to read more http://soyiga.com/2019/03/17/downfall-of-okorocha-a-bitter-lesson-to-politicians/

Owolabi Salis, governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) in Lagos State, has rejected the outcome of the governorship election in the state which brought in the APC candidate Babajide Sanwoolu, saying it was “a complete fraud”. Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Salis stated that the election was marred with high level of election irregularities which include “multiple voting, intimidation, and collation fraud”. Salis Disagree With Lagos Governorship Result “I am not accepting the results of last 2 Saturday’s gubernatorial election as it is a complete fraud on the people of Lagos State. The election is full of many machinations as many voters were intimidated and lot of multiple voting occurred in many polling units. The collation fraud was huge as the ruling party did everything to discredit the candidate of AD and relegate us by putting us in the sixth position,” he said. Salis Disagree With Lagos Governorship Result Salis said he would contest the result of the election at the tribunal. He continued: “I do not believe Sanwo-Olu won a clear contest. I am going to court. I have overwhelming evidence and will get lawyers that handle electoral matters to look into these irregularities committed against my humble self and my party in the just concluded election. “It is very easy to win the case when you have enough evidence. We will follow the matter to a logical conclusion and we believe we will get justice.” Downfall of Okorocha, a bitter lesson to Politicians. According to the statement, the meeting is in furtherance to efforts at resolving the on-going industrial action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). “The Minister of Labour and Employment Sen. Chris Ngige is scheduled to hold a meeting with the Executive of ASUU. “The conciliatory meeting is scheduled to hold on Jan. 7, at Minister’s Conference Room by 3:30 pm prompt. Reports have it that ASUU commenced an indefinite strike on Nov. 5, 2018 over certain demands based on agreement reached with government in 2009. One of the demands is the replacement of Dr Wale Babalakin as the chairman for the government renegotiating team of the 2009 ASUU/Federal Government Agreement. Other issues are non-payment of earned allowance, funding of revitalisation of the Nigerian universities, implementation of needs assessment report, poor funding of state universities, among others. Recall that as part of efforts by the Federal Government of Nigeria to end the strike, it commenced meetings with Academic Staff Union of University leadership on Nov. 15th, 2018 followed |
Nigerian Students In Educational Oblivion. NANS JCC Lagos Senate Arm calls on the federal government to honor her agreement with the striking Academic Staffs Unions (ASUU and ASUP), especially on the need to revitalize the University Education System. NANS JCC Lagos Senate Arm frowns at the unideological attitude of the NANS National President and His Delegation at their recent meeting with President Mohammad Buhari at the ASO Rock Villa. NANS JCC Lagos Senate Arm support her JCC chairman to continue the Lagos Autonomy and nonalignment with NANS National President, Comr. Bamidele Danielson Akpan due to his consistent unpatriotic attitude in representing the Nigerian Students. We call on President Muhammad Buhari led federal government and its negotiations team with ASUU and ASUP, to meet the striking lecturers demands timely. We believe that to ensure access to quality and affordable education by Nigerian students, Nigeria government must be committed to proper funding of public University Education System for the need to revitalize the system, guarantee better pay, good welfare package for the University workers and provision of a quality living and learning conditions for Nigerian students. It is obvious that the demands of the striking academic staffs unions (ASUU and ASUP) is anchored on the need to ensure both the academic staffs and Nigerian students get the best of tertiary education system. Over the years, Nigeria tertiary institutions administrators have resolved to hiking of fees to augment their finances. We believe this won’t be necessary anymore if the federal government is committed to proper funding of her education system. We hold that, the failure of the President Muhammad Buhari to issue a statement so far not even on the occasion of his birthday to appease the striking unions but rather calling on them to allow his administration focus on fixing infrastructure rather than distracting him is a very big statement on how least the education sector is on his leadership agenda. The president’s calling of NANS National president to plead with the striking union to call off the strike inspite not meeting their demands justify and confirms our position on President Muhammad Buhari administration as an enemy of Nigerian students. We condemned in totality, the unprincipled act of the NANS National President and its non-students delegate to the ASO Rock Villa for a courtesy visit and birthday award presentation. We believe the presentation of birthday gift to president Muhammad Buhari and the attempt of Comr. Bamidele Danielson Akpan to draw NANS into partisan politics to gather support/vote for the re-election bid of president in a period when Nigerian students are kept at home due to the failure of the federal government to resolve with the striking lecturers is not only unprincipled but shows that NANS National President has lost his sense of duty. Download Slow Wine By Rockywalez Here For us at NANS JCC Lagos Senate arm, we do not share the believe that the federal govt does not have enough fund to meet the striking lecturers demands, we believe it only requires a genuine pro-peoples government to do so. We therefore call on all Nigerian students home and abroad to join forces with the Labor Unions to compel President Muhammad Buhari led APC federal government to do the needful in resolving the demands of the union. Not only that, we deem if fit, to call for the reinstatement of all suspended students union and students activist, stoppage of undue acceptance fee and tuition fee hike, provision of stable electricity supply, good hostel facilities, adequate lectures halls, laboratories, and inclusion of students representatives in the decision making organ of schools. Lastly, we support the NANS JCC Lagos chairman on his call that Comr. Bamidele Danielson led NANS National should leave Lagos out of their tourism centre as we are responsible enough and we utmostly believe in the state JCC leadership to lead us aright without him coming to the state. Another War Between Buhari And National Assembly. President Muhammadu Buhari may be in for another showdown with members of the National Assembly on resumption of plenary in January if the executive fails to release funds appropriated to the federal parliament in the 2018 budget. Some of the federal lawmakers, who spoke with our correspondents on Friday, alleged that the executive arm of government had withheld their money as a form of punishment. The National Assembly increased its budget from N125bn allocated to it in 2017 to N139bn in 2018. They, however, said rather than implement the N139bn allocated to them in 2018, the executive was still paying them based on the N125bn appropriated for them in the 2017 national budget. The development worsened penultimate week, forcing the House of Representatives to summon the Minister of Finance, Aisha Mohammed, to explain the delay in the release of the funds, categorised as first-line charge. But the minister attributed the non-implementation of the 2018 National Assembly budget to a gross revenue shortfall recorded by the Federal Government in the current fiscal year. Obviously not satisfied with the minister’s explanation, the representatives demanded immediate full payment of the monthly release to the assembly put at N11bn monthly. They lamented that the executive was still releasing N10bn monthly to the federal parliament based on the 2017 appropriation despite the fact that the 2018 national budget was assented to in June this year. The Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Lasun Yusuf, said, “Clearly, the Appropriation Act has been breached; the law has been breached. Each month, the National Assembly receives money less by N1.2bn.” A member of the House of Representatives from Ondo State, who spoke with one of our correspondents on condition of anonymity, said his colleagues booed the President while presenting the 2019 budget proposal last week to show their grievances. He said, “We will show him (Buhari) our true colours in January if he fails to release our money in full. He is deliberately treating us like this to ensure that we have nothing to mobilise our constituents for the February 16 elections. “The Buhari government has also failed to fund our constituency projects, thereby depriving us of the opportunity to count them as part of our achievements.” Another member from Oyo State, who also spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that his colleagues were warming up for a showdown with the President, if he failed to fund their budget in full. He stated, “That is exactly why we booed him when he came for the budget presentation and he should expect more in the New Year. As it is now, we cannot meet our obligations to our constituents, staff and National Assembly maintenance.” According to investigations by our correspondents, based on the new arrangement, a senator now goes home with N11m as monthly running cost while their counterparts in the House collect N8m. A senator from the North-West confirmed off record that the National Assembly budget was not being properly funded, adding that the development was affecting their financial obligations. The senator, representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, in March, revealed that he and his colleagues received N13.5m http://soyiga.com/2018/12/30/another-war-between-buhari-and-national-assembly/

Buhari Students Support Group Holds In Defence Of Democracy. The office of the Senate President is the third most important position in the country. It’s as important to the furtherance of democracy in Nigeria as the office of the president. However, it’s without gainsaying that Dr. Bukola Saraki who currently holds the position is no more worthy of the position and needs to step down for the protection of sustainable and reliable democracy in the country. After his initial defection to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), a party that has been wrought with tacit incompetency and the inexistence of will to change Nigeria, there have been widespread call for him to step down or be impeached. This is the view we hold on to. We believe that he is no longer a person capable and trustworthy to oversee the legislative arm of the country. He is with no integrity to lead Nigerians and propel good governance in the country. This is further proven by the litany of corruption allegations against him. From his defection, Senate President Saraki has flagrantly displayed his non-challant attitude, disregard and disrespect for the constituency that gave him the majority of votes that accorded him the privilege of having the mandate on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC). The constitution by virtue of section 68 subsection 1(g) of the constitution stipulates that a member of the Senate or that of the House of Representatives shall vacate his seat if his election to any http://soyiga.com/2018/09/10/buhari-students-support-group-holds-in-defence-of-democracy/
