Politics / Youths Action Initiative! Soy Nasarawa. by SoYNasarawa: 12:28am On Mar 03, 2021
Hi! I'm introducing everyone to a project of mine; You•Act (Youths Action Initiative).

This is an initiative founded with the intent to adequately address child labour in our country.

Our duty would be to rescue victim and obtain justice for them, apprehend those who are involved in these crimes and work to end child labour.

Humanitarian agencies and individuals focus mainly on advocacy, but people know what's right and wrong. They choose to do evil because they can.

This is encouraged by the general culture that children are inferior and as a result, they are ignored.

We aim to draw people's attention to fact that we need to deal with child labour directly.

You•Act is a youth-led Non-governmental organisation yet to be registered.

We are a volunteer group of youths (16-24yr old) defending the rights of children and fellow youths!

With your support, we would easily and quickly launch a campaign in Nasarawa state to spread awareness in school especially and a petition to the government to support this initiative and with it's assistance, take it further.

Thanks!

Hi everyone!

I'm the official chapter leader of 'State of Youth Nasarawa'.

State of Youth is a non-political, non-religious digital platform launched by KidsRights Foundation with the aim of empowering youths worldwide to promote their rights, advocate for equality and fight for progressive change

The SDG in focus this quarter is, 'Decent work and economic growth'.

State of Youth Nasarawa would deal with the micro-theme 'Child Labour'.

This month, we would launch an extensive campaign to spread awareness on the prevalent issue of child labour in the Federal Capital Territory and Nasarawa State.

Our desire is to sensitise the general public on the consequences of child labour. We would act as a bridge between Nigerians and those elected to lead them, including the representativs of governmental and non-governmental human rights organisations. Working with the local media, our message would be adequately passed on...

Over 15 million children are engaged in manual labour:

• Street peddling
• Prostitution
• Domestic servitude
• Mining
• Working in factories and plantations...

These are but a few of the hazardous tasks carried out by 43% of those under the age of 18.

With your support, we can create a decent society for our children to thrive.
Thanks!

Romance / State Of Youth Chapter Nasarawa State. by SoYNasarawa: 7:51pm On Jan 26, 2021
Hi guys! This isn't the right section, I know... But it's one of the most frequented. I'll take advantage of that. smiley

I'm the leader of the accredited State of Youth chapter, Nasarawa State.

All around the world, there are youths like myself working actively in their chapters to spread awareness and advocate for change in their respective regions.

The changemakers programme believes in the fact that children are more than capable of standing up for themselves and fighting passively for the proper enforcement of their fundamental human rights! Our collective voices can and will bring about progressive change.

Yes, we'll make an impact!

Awareness is the first step towards something greater!

Your support to the State of Youth Chapter Nasarawa would affect the lives of so many children in Nigeria!

Activism for me is more than a passion, it's my life.

To join the war against the injustice children in our society face, kindly do the following.
