Captain America: Brave New World has gone through so many rewrites and re-shoots that I doubt there would be any cohesion in the plot of the movie

The impact of successful movies from Universal on Comcast stock is limited due to the diverse nature of the company's business segments. For a significant increase in stock value, the parent company must also achieve success across its other business divisions in addition to these film releases.

It kind of can work

She had a Mohawk in apocalypse

And this skin complexion is lore accurate.

And classic storm from the xmen series is not really presented as facially beautiful. Severe yes.

But madam needs to put on some meat.
Maybe it could work, she's just not my preference. There are way too many good looking black women.... who can act of course because that's what important.

Clearly, it seems there's a stick tightly lodged up your @ss with all these histrionics. Ease up. grin

You stated your Glen Powell looking dude and I disagreed because I don't see a Powell look or profile for the character. Going with another actor which you later agreed works better.

Me giving my explanation of my fancasting choices was because you quoted me while responding to purple saying I was hyping up Powell some months back.
So I don't know how it came to that with you yapping about shït and strawman arguments.

Anyways you do you, cos I don't know where all these passive aggression is coming from. Next time I'll do well to avoid disagreeing with your 'incontestable choices' your Lordship.
Peace. ✌🏽
You disagree because you don't see a Glenn Powell type look or profile, but you chose Alexander Ludwig who shares similar hair length, the same facial structure, hair colour, eye colour and physique type. Both individuals exude a similar attractive, all-American aesthetic, hit the 6-foot mark, and the negligible 4-year age disparity hardly registers. Honestly at this point it has come clear to me that you just love getting high off the smell of your own fart. And yes, minding your business when next you have nothing meaningful to contribute to a conversation will be very much appreciated.

All these ones are just mental gymnastics.

Hal Jordan in the DCU is an older man in his 40s-50s unlike what we have in the comics, despite the fans fury, the producers gave no shït. What makes you think such changes can't be made in the DCU? And I'm sure I've heard rumors of James Gunn pivoting towards Wally West as the Flash since we've always had Barry in live action. Just as Hal was aged for John Stewart to shine. Wally West could be older if they want him as a main character because in James Gunn new universe, the superhero world is in existence already not just newly formed.

We're fan casting just for fun. Wally wasn't even the only character I listed as who Glen Powell can play. Glen might be in his mid 30s but can easily look and play someone in his mid 20s.

And I'm solely fan casting actors and directors based on their previous projects I've watched and how they performed....seems somehow you missed the context I'm trying to say with someone "I'm comfortable or satisfied viewing". Why would I cast someone in a role I haven't seen a glimmer of competency he/she can perform considerably convincing?? Or you think it's cos someone is a fave actor I just want to cast them in any role?

I don't know why you are seemingly offended just cos someone told you you're miscasting an actor.
You're talking as if anything we say here is seriously considered by the powers that be.
Stop taking things too serious bruh and unclench your @sshole a bit and enjoy the ride.
It ain't that serious.
Mental gymnastics? Excuse me? Believe me, the reasons behind your casting choices and the thought process guiding your decisions are of no concern to me. I stopped to expose the flawed logic you presented only because I was mentioned. Telling me about how fan casting entails this and that but you cast who you've watched before yada yada. I'm very sure I've seen tons of your casting choices I gave no shits about. I don't even know why you'd feel that important on here.

Ironically, the latter segment of your post is even funny to me. Because whilst I'm well aware of my right to cast anybody in any role I want, I didn't even expressly go for Glenn in that post. Since you know how to quote let me remind you that I said "Blonde short hair, Glenn Powell type looking dude." and by that I was implying someone akin to Glenn not Glenn himself. This clarification was further elaborated upon in a subsequent post. Whether you intentionally misconstrued this or you lack basic understanding is also entirely your business. Okay? Hope this sheds light on the root of our ongoing exchange?

IngeniousLeez:
Lol, calm your titties bruh.

I still want him in the DCU but not as Aquaman dude. Casting someone these days isn't all about the looks but if the actor has the talent or range profile to convincingly portray such character to a significant extent...not just casting for the sake of it even if it's just simple fan casting.

I cast who I feel I will be comfortable or happy watching as a character. Not someone who's totally miscast.
Glen Powell would work as a Booster Gold (but seems Kumail Nanjiani got the role), I can see him as Wally West also. Any playful character with guile. He'd have been perfect for Hal Jordan if not for the requirements being older.
After listing the prerequisites for casting, you conclude by expressing a preference for selecting actors based on personal comfort or satisfaction in viewing them. This raises the question: do you adhere to a strict set of criteria that an actor must meet to qualify, or do you rely on your subjective feelings, because facts don't often go hand in hand with feelings? Casting entails all those things you outlined, particularly in scenarios where you possess a certain level of decision-making authority and a board of directors eagerly awaits your input, to regular fans, these factors are unnecessary.

I don't think you truly believe that individuals take their time to deliberate over such nonsense before picking who they like from the convenience of their homes. As you previously characterized it, this process is just "simple fan casting." Moreover, envisioning him portraying Wally West, a character as young as 19-21 in most iterations, while Glenn himself is nearing 40, appears to be a big miscast in my view.

Na how you go know industry plant. They want to fix him into everything. He has talent tho but big NO.
Glenn Powell appears to have transitioned into an industry plant simply because I suggested casting a similar-looking individual for the role of Aquaman? I distinctly recall few months ago, you and your follower Abdul were fervently seeking a role for him in the DCU; another individual even called y'all out on the hype. We are currently in 2025. Are you sure you don't want to drop this unfounded propaganda?

Why TF would anyone cast Powell as Aquaman? 🙄 Lame @ss casting if you ask me and hardly really gels with his acting persona.

I'd much prefer someone in the shape of Alexander Ludwig. Has the looks and profile for Arthur Curry.
Yeah I'd prefer Ludwig too, didn't even think of him before. Although Powell's physique is close to his.

These are top respectable directors showing their willingness to join.
It's almost always the ones who have succeeded previously at marvel, this DCU might actually work out. The MCU is still setting the standard though.

It's actually the way people criticize him with so much bias and prejudice that makes me support him because I look at the criticisms and then look at his work, and I realize that he doesn't deserve this much bile.
You've captured the essence of the situation. Zack Snyder isn't even on my list of favorite directors. While I've both praised and criticized some of his works, the current discourse on comic accuracy and this whole "ideal Superman" rubbish is excessively one-sided. Since 2010, a majority of directors have taken liberties with comic book characters, reshaping them to suit the stories they wish to tell. Even directors renowned for crafting exceptional comic book adaptations have been found guilty of this practice at some point.

For me a prime illustration of this is "The Dark Knight Rises". We all know the rendition of Bane in that film is not the one from the comics. However, integrating a comic-accurate Bane into that particular plotline would have posed its own challenges. Christopher Nolan excelled in delivering a compelling story in that movie, that's why Bane's comic inaccuracy is not the predominant talking point wherever that movie is discussed.

Soon James Gunn will begin to reinterpret characters and their origin stories within the DC Universe, it's something that's surely inevitable. Gunn executed this strategy effectively in the MCU, with Adam Warlock serving as the biggest let down in my opinion. While envisioning a comic-accurate Adam Warlock within the MCU, particularly in *Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3*, raises questions, I find solace in the fact that the film exemplifies a stellar comic book movie. Therefore, the criticisms leveled against Snyder regarding comic accuracy appear unfounded in the broader context of comic book adaptations.

This trailer is blowing up

10m views in six hours is insane

For comparison sake, Captain America 4 teaser from 5 months ago has 21m views and Thunderbolts teaser has 17m views

People actually care for Superman.

He's still relevant.
Even the newcomers in this domain recognize the typical trend of these trailers. Initially, they garner impressive view counts in the first few hours of release, only to see a significant decline afterwards. The Thunderbolts you mentioned also amassed over 5 million views in the initial 6 hours, yet the outcome speaks for itself.

Even when watching films that have received positive reviews, they often fail to meet the high expectations set by others. SMILE 2 is the first movie in which I have genuinely felt engrossed since August this year.

How much percentage of US box office does "Marvel films" make up to be termed keeping theatres alive. Lmao

Even the majority of peeps in the comments of that tweet knows she's talking about "blockbusters". grin
She didn't term anything, you're just the one reading it without understanding and wasting words. She said they "help keep" movie theatres able to pay the rent, which means they contribute, they play a part and she didn't even state how big of a role. Besides which peeps are you even talking about in the comments? Who would want to refer to blockbuster movies in general and use the phrase "Marvel Films"??
