I expected more from this.

Red Hulk looks way better than that Mark Ruffalo's shit Hulk. That mean face from The Incredible Hulk 2008 design. 💯 |
abduleez1:1. Yes he's talented, like these other people you mentioned. Talent is like potential, anyone can be born talented, it's the amount of work that you put in that will polish you and lead to outstanding performances. 2. I didn't even mention range. 3. He dey for Lost city of Z Abi he no dey? 4. You skipped the Pilgrimage but whatever. 5. We are talking about quality of projects that's why I picked these ones that have positive reviews from critics. The guy has been in other projects outside the MCU that I didn't mention. 6. Not being active for four years is just a little detrimental if you're busy doing some underground work and your ready to come back in 2026 with a bang. He's not been in any movies doesn't mean he's been away from Hollywood. 7. The Impossible is his breakout role and still one of his best performances till date. It's what earned him his first ever award nomination but let's sweep it under the carpet because you don't know about the movie lol. Capital L wey you don take already. |
abduleez1:Which mumu jury? You're just comparing the dude with other people that he's not even competing with. The same way I can pull up their networths and none of those guys would come close except Timothee Chalamet. Everyone knows that different actors move at different pace. There's no rule anywhere that says that if Mr A is doing this then Mr B should also be doing this. You just posted his upcoming projects that proves that he's been securing projects low-key that's like shooting yourself in the foot in this your argument. What do you even mean "saved" by the MCU? You mean "The Impossible" because that's where they even discovered him. |
samistry:Outside of the MCU he's has been in some other films that have been well received by the critics, including: The Impossible, Locke, The Lost City of Z, Pilgrimage, Spies in Disguise, and Onward. It was even in the movie "The Impossible" that they recognised he had talent, that was his breakout role before he auditioned with 7000 other actors for Spiderman. If noting dey to talk them go just dey rant rubbish dey full thread dey go. |
This is just how it's always been. DC has been consistently humiliating CBM fans. Joker 2 is still struggling to reach $250m lol. Over the last decade, the MCU has consistently upheld the success of comic book movies, effectively silencing the haters. Let's give honour where it is due. All DC tards have is their mouths.

How we're ending 2024. 💀

Illusioneffect:Even Martin Scorsese was closely associated with the project too but he opted to withdraw from it due to conflicting schedules with his masterpiece "The Irishman." Nevertheless, the film had significant influences from Scorsese's "Taxi Driver" and "The King of Comedy." Critics often noted resemblances to various borrowed concepts from other films, but he skillfully put those ideas together and he managed to craft a unique and compelling story. However, in the sequel where he had to rely more on his creative vision, he just showed us what made the first movie succeed. |
abduleez1:It even has $20,000,000 in domestic gross. |
abduleez1:Exactly, I'll allow it to bomb first before I really start talking. |
"We both felt like there was more to explore with the character" - Joaquin Phoenix https://youtube.com/shorts/EEjM28CGK8A?si=cNdm7fk1NtlWX3zc |
abduleez1:This statement appears to me as a significant rationalization. Let us not pretend that Todd Phillips boasts an exceptional filmography; prior to "Joker," most of his films varied from mediocre to utterly unwatchable, with his only major success with critics and audiences being "The Hangover." If one has committed to creating a standalone masterpiece, then one must also commit to rejecting any financial offers to return if the film proves successful. Money serves as their primary leverage, as no one's going to hold a bloody gun to your head. Accepting such offers implies that you believed you could replicate the success of your initial project or surpass it. Any complaints following the failure of the new movie amounts to capital COPE, and it's his reputation going down the drain. Why did he not allow them to hire another director for the task? Because, presuming he continued to decline as you all suggest, that is precisely what they would have done. |
Illusioneffect: kendrick9:In that case, I'll have to steer clear of the sequel. If that is the direction in which they intend to narrate his story, then this iteration of the Joker does not align with my preferences. The only reason I overlooked this dumb idea was due to the fact that the first one was an origin account. I figured I failed to grasp the essence of the Joker because he was merely in his nascent stage. While the portrayal of the decline of an Ill-treated disturbed individual makes for a compelling movie, in my opinion, that storyline is only suitable as an origin tale for the Joker. Frankly, I had been anticipating his breakout from Arkham and subsequent chaos in Gotham, followed by the entire GPD's endeavor to apprehend him without Batman's involvement. Additionally, the prospect of his collaboration with Harley Quinn intrigued me. I am not interested in stories that merely present a delusional underachiever with the "Joker" label without substance. There are numerous other captivating interpretations from which this concept was copied, and I can readily explore and appreciate a few of them without delving into CBL. |
Illusioneffect:Does he actually become the prince of crime in this movie? Do we finally get the Joker we've been waiting for, the Joker that can give Batman a hard time. I enjoyed his orogin story in the first one but now I want him to become HIM. |
abduleez1:Just because you founded the establishment doesn't make you qualified enough to run it. I swear. |
abduleez1:And to think that this site came out before Reddit and twitter, 🤦🏽♂️ why are some people like this? I could load this site on Nokia C3 and iPhone 12 and both would have the same feel. Kai. |
Illusioneffect:Bro, sometimes do you ever think to yourself that this site could have had a similar interface like Reddit? This guy seriously fumbled. |
Illusioneffect:Are you serious? That one would be worst 😂 |
BlackManta:No box office predictions for this one. 🙄 Did Deadpool and Wolverine shut you up. 😂 |
Kaycee7:I legit forgot to share this trailer, and I was truly astonished by the positive comments and posts from individuals who initially criticized the concept of this project but are now eagerly anticipating its release. Witnessing this shift in sentiment genuinely brings a smile to my face. The fact that this trailer garnered 5 million views within 6 hours is no joke. At its current pace, it is poised to reach the 20 million mark much quicker than Captain America 4, despite expectations that this project would be the less popular of the two. Following Florence, my next favored cast member is Lewis in the role of Sentry. He is a talent that is, in my opinion, vastly underappreciated. Although I had anticipated him to undergo more physical transformation for this role, I defer to Marvel's vision for their characters in the contemporary era. What I firmly believe is that if this project delivers on its potential, those who initially criticized it will undoubtedly change their tune and speak favorably of it. |
pu7pl3:Common get out of here. Oga planning committee. 😂 |
pu7pl3:You've always been a clown. When someone chooses to defend what he's passionate about then you remember that there's no cash handouts involved and he's not on the planning committee with the executives. You and this your consistent bullshit, whenever you don't agree with someone we start seeing crap like this. 😂 |
pu7pl3:Whose giving the cheques for all the DC characters you're fighting tooth and nail for their adaptation? Lol bloddy clown 😂😂😂 |
Kaycee7:Lol. Is @BlackManta even seeing this? |
NobleStag007:I swear |
doyin01:Props to him for even adding a few losses in the edit to make it look real. The ones I normally see is winning all through. 😂 |
Chibudollar:Even the film poster looks like trash. |
NeoWanZaeed:Shut up. |
OhBritannia:This is the first time I've seen you rate a movie this low, this project must be shit. |
joseph1832:Okay so that means he'll just stay away from Nairaland from now on. |
abduleez1:Don't worry, he will not use nairaland today. ![]() |
