For PAP yes, only the template of PAP will be admissible to the PAP email. For complaints or reconsideration etc you don’t need to use PAP templates.

As I understand it, the operative date is the date when you get your GTV; when you applied doesn't matter. If you get it before 30th of February and so have 6 months of IHS that you paid for but haven't 'used', you should be eligible. If it's even a day after, you won't get anything because the refunds are only calculated in 6-month intervals.

If there was up to 6 months overlap you'd have been able to but the refunds are only done in 6 month intervals.

Source: I have claimed overlapping periods multiple times. Not in relation to a shortened visa as in your case though so I might be mistaken and the rules may be different for that.

Please who has been in a similar situation.
My student visa was supposed to expire 30 Aug 2026, however because I completed my study early, my leave was shortened and the new visa end date is 28 March.

I have now gotten a GTV endorsement, applied for the visa and paid IHS.

Am I eligible for a refund as I have circa six months left on the original visa? The info I see online mentioned that there is no refund for shortened visas, but this was not due to a negative situation. Chatgpt also says that my case will be judged with the new expiry date which means there's only one month overlap.

Please who has a lived experience? Make I no if I get small hope to get refund for my family as the payment no be small money abeg.

I’m planning to apply next week for a UK visiting visa to attend my OSCE exams. I’m based in Port Harcourt, and I was told that applicants here pay an extra £150 as visa processing fee at the VFS centre.

I’m considering travelling to Lagos to process my application instead, but I’m not sure if the same extra charge applies there too.

Please, does anyone know if the Lagos visa centre also collects an additional processing fee? And if yes, how much exactly?

I’ll really appreciate feedback from anyone who has recently applied from Lagos or Port Harcourt.

I will say it is more convenient to pay the 150 and have it done in PH than the additional stress of travel time, hotel/accommodation, logistics, finding your way around lagos etc.

The 150 you pay in PH, also includes courier return, sms updates, and assistance with upload of your documents. There is usually less crowd there and you will breeze in and out and go back to your normal day. It's also a familiar environment to you.

I'm on a dependent visa. My partner is on SWV and we started visa extension on September 11 but no decision or communication till now. I have a very critical need to travel and I'm thinking of withdrawing my application.
I have like 3 questions and I'd appreciate any response

1. We applied together. Will my withdrawal affects her or they treat it as separate applications?

2. If I apply for the new visa in Nigeria when they finally approve her extension, am I going to need to provide TB test and police report again or just biometrics?
Note: the plan is to use super or priority.

3. Will it invalidate my time spent already if I'm applying for a new visa ?

Have you tried sending them a paid email telling them about the urgent need to travel hence your wanting an update or for them to expedite the decision making process?

If you have up to two weeks, this could work.

I submitted(wife and husband) in Abuja on the 17th of October and both were returned on 24th October.

And thanks to the guys that advised on the Ethiopian airline dummy booking as it worked.

Why you complicating things for yourself, if your visa is refused you will be thinking why? Not knowing you caused it yourself. Why going for a dummy Flight booking? Dummy booking hold reservation maximum for 72 hours, after 72 hours it will be cancelled. It is not Hotel reservation.

I will advise you to look for a trust airline agent, pay him / her the flight reservation booking under #15k - #20k to have a rest of mind,

*** please be aware that Flight booking reservation are among the essential documents the VO / embassy does confirm in any visa application.
