Book to London then use National Express Coach to Leeds for £20 or less. National Express has an office in Heathrow or you book online. A train would be more expensive

Yes, Wakanow is okay, from my experience.

Safe trip.
Many thanks

fly to Manchester and use taxi, bus or train from manchester airport to Leeds. By taxi it is 50 mns to Leeds.
If u have so much bags, pls use national express from manchester airport as they have a busstop in the airport or take taxi home. Taxi appropriate fare is 70 to 80 pounds. Google A1 taxi and call them when u land.
Again I do not advise train trips if you have boxes with you. The struggle and rush and all not worth it.
Wakanow is safe. Only use them if you are sure of your travel dates and wont make any changes to these as any change after u have paid for ticket, u wont smile

national express is the bus/coach service .. there’ll be heathrow airport terminals to leeds, manchester airport to leeds etc. you can ride from the airports, you do not need to go into the city.
trainline you can buy train tickets
Thanks a lot

Good day gurus here!

Please I am trying to book a flight from Nigeria to Leeds and I see it's difficult to get a one way flight.

Please do you suggest I fly to London Heathrow first?

If yes, is it advisable to go by train from London to Leeds as I noticed it's a little above one hour ride and connecting flights have long wait periods before flight and I do not want to get there in the evening as it's a first time trip.

How can I safely book the train trip?

Secondly, is it advisable to book through travel agents like wakanow as the price there is in Naira contrary to the prices on the airline sites that are in dollars.

Congratulations, Can I Know the format for the Consent Letter?, And Also did you book flexi appointment for family at TLS or booked appointment same time and date, thank you, anyone can reply this wink
Here is the format as shared by Resurgent2016

We xxxx and xxxx are the parents and legal guardian of our son whose name, date of birth and passport number is stated below:

• Name: xxy
• Date of Birth: xxy
• Passport Number: xxy
This is to confirm that we are both in agreement on the visa application, the living arrangement in the United Kingdom, and the address of where we will be staying with our child, and we will both be responsible for him.
Yours Sincerely,

Parent 1 Parent 2

As for the Biometrics, we were fortunate to get same date. My hubby and child got same time and I got a different time but we did together. This is most likely due to the fact that there are less crowds now.

Hello all,

Please i need clarification on the information below,

("3. IHS cost: Currently £470 for each year of your course plus £235 for the extra 4-6 months granted in addition to the duration of your course.
Calculate how much your IHS will cost here: https://www.immigration-health-surcharge.service.gov.uk/checker/type")

MY QUESTION:
My Dependants and I will be paying 1,175 each (including children that are under 18) when i used the checker. Could this be right? Are the dependant below 18 paying the same amount as the main applicant?
Yes for student visa, you pay same IHS for both main applicants and dependents(under 18 inclusive).

This is because the discounted amount of 470 pounds is for students and under 18.

The normal IHS fee is 624pounds per year.

Pls what's assisted service?
And what other service can one choose?
Assisted service means you want the staff at TLS to help you upload your supporting documents for your visa application.

Self service means that you upload the documents yourself on their site.

You can see their other services on their site:

Thank you @SPDAZZY. This is quite insightful. They operate a staged admission for the course I’m applying to. It’s a taught masters though. They should respond by mid-April at the latest.
Yes, to the gold standard label on the school. It’s actually my preferred. I emailed them yesterday, so, hopefully, I should get a response soon. I’m just a bit apprehensive.
When do you commence studies? What is your discipline? Can we connect elsewhere than on this platform?
Don't be anxious, if you meet their requirements, you will certainly scale through.

For a Russell group school, they are worth the time.

Start date is May, research is on machine translation. DM?

Good day again House, What’re the Document a Dependant ( Spouse ) needs to take along on her Biometric Appointment day
I used this from Iferewaju as guide when I was uploading documents:

Docs for main applicant (11yrs study gap)
POF, Bsc cert, IELTS, IOM Tb cert, Passport data page

Docs for spouse (1 canada refusal declared last year)
Marriage cert, affidavit for wedding and change of name, newspaper change of name, POF (same as hubby), IOM Tb cert, Picmix of hubby and wife, passport data page

Docs for Child dependent (same for both of them)
Birth cert, Letter of consent signed by both parents, IOM certificate, passport data page, POF (same as main applicant)

After self upload, you just need to go to TLS with your printed checklist, photocopy of passport data page, first page of your visa application form and passport

However, if you chose assisted service, you go with originals and photocopies of everything listed.

Hello,
Did anyone here apply to university of Leeds and university of Glasgow and is still waiting for offer of admission? Applied since January and still waiting.

Also, I need guide as to how to book my TB test. I can’t find any dates for Lagos between now and July on their website.
Please help.
I have admission to study in the University of Leeds. Though it's for PhD. They are usually fast to respond to admissions and queries.

I received feedback and was scheduled for my PhD interview in less than 3 weeks. The result of the interview was given within 2days and the final offer came in less than 2weeks.

Though PhD is purely research and could be handled differently from taught masters. The school has been very prompt and courteous in their dealings with me.

For CAS, I just emailed them on a Thursday to ask for requirements to obtain CAS and I woke up on a Saturday morning to see the CAS chilling in my mailbox. No deposits, nothing.

However, for taught postgraduates, it's stated on their site that a deposit of 1500 is needed before CAS.

Downside is fees are high and there are very few scholarships available for international students.

But the school is in top 20 in UK and top 100 in the world. It's also a Gold TEF school. So I believe studies there would definitely be worth it.

I think you should reach out to them via mail. They should get back to you.

All the best!

If the dependents are minors, You can pick the same dates for all if available. But if not, pick the earliest date for the primary applicants and other available dates for the dependent minors. Take your print out and that of the minors all together to TLS for your biometric.

Your own date and time will be used for all you together for the Biometrics.
Many thanks!

Hello everyone, a friend of mine is already in the uk, but his wife wants to come over as dependent, the woman is 6 months pregnant and she needs to do the TB test, sputum takes 8 weeks which is out of it, as she doesn’t want to go to the UK after childbirth, cuz of additional cost and other factors, the question is can she do the X-ray tuberculosis test?, tho iOM
Said they will use a protective shield for her , but some people said it’s not advisable , has anyone gone through this? I mean X-ray at third trimester ? , even with shield , Will there be any problem doing the X-ray ? Thanks
I think if she really wants to join her husband before delivery, she will have to do the TB test either way. The earlier the better.

X-ray risks are lower in second and third trimesters and she will be given a protective shield.

She would however sign an undertaking that she understands that choosing to do X-ray, she knows the risks involved and is solely responsible if any issues arise.

She would discuss best with the doctors at IOM cos they would speak with her.

If she decides to do sputum, it's still advisable to start now so the result would be out early and she can start her visa application.
