You lied and tell your dad he needs to retrace his ancestral history oncemore. Anioma has nothing to do with biafra and will never have anything to do with such faceless, derogatory and evil-prone terrorist organisation. Has it occur to you what it be like under these zealous, callous and greedy people calling for biafra? You'll be a first class minority and will be treated with despair and hate. You and your dad better have a rethink cause it's better felt than explained. |
RichBoy247:U dey for inside your banana republic? I no craze like you to remain inside zoo |
Madman Nnamdi Kanu. This and Niger Delta hallucination confirms your insanity. Leave Niger Delta land alone. We shall form our own republics even if its 100 republics. We are not Biafrans and will never be. |
Nnamdi Kanu Has United The Niger Delta People by spearman(m): 3:14pm On Jun 10 The notion of the minority tribe of the Bight of Benin and the Niger Delta forming a federal union as appealing as it has been was always difficult to pursue. The Niger Delta is made up of small nationalities that were easy for the Nigerian state with the help of their two southern neighbors will isolate and destroy any agitation. And so the strategy became to wait for a group like the Yorubas to awaken and make their way out of Nigeria as the Yorubas by language geography and culture formed the most natural country of all those in Nigeria and have been hurt the deepest as their whole territory has been invaded and occupied by all others. So the strategy was that of watch and wait. And then came Nnamdi Kanu and his map of Biafra. The innitial Niger Delta reaction was to ignore it as it was too insanely preposterous as not to pay it any attention. You see many outside of Igbos never thought anyone was even going to give that hideous map a second look. Not Biafrans. They immediately started salivating at the prospect of Igbo authority over a large expanse of LAND. Niger Deltans were awakened to a full occupation as this expansionist land grab took on a life of its own. It got worse Kanu screamed and yelled insults all day long to any who dare protest his dictat. Kanu who all along had been seen as an Igbo problem now became a Niger Delta irritant. It was an insult to them to have this strange creature speak for them in such absolute and condescending voice. A lie told often becomes truth seems to be the Igbo strategy here. Though it makes no sense to anyone as to how they think they can manipulate the millions of people that make up the Niger Delta into the Biafran plantation they pessist in this laughable and amateurish schemes. "What are Biafrans doing in Warri, Ubiaja, Agbor, Asaba, Eket, Uyo, Calbar, Port Harcourt, Ogoni, Yenogoa? What is this madnesses?". And so ended all arguments about strategy and form. Every nationality within the region bonded instantly and resolve to form a united federation in the Niger Delta, come what may. The Niger Delta have arisen with one voice saying, "We are not Biafra. We have formed a federation of our own. Thank you Nnamdi Kanu for uniting and focusing us. Now run along and leave us alone. Good luck to you and the true South East Biafra. We hope to be good neighbors". Igbos can claim the credit for creating the Niger Delta Republic. Thank you Nnamdi Kanu. |

More Facebook Responses From Real Aniomas To The Thread: Okocha I can't agree less with Chief Silvan Ebigwei's assertion. I'm from Ogwashi Uku in Aniocha South LGA of Delta State but I was born and have lived all my life in Lagos. When I was much younger, my mom always correct me that we don't speak the Igbo language but the Ogwashi Uku own. This was strange to me because I could discern that our tongue with the Igbos in Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Abia, and Ebonyi states are almost similar. Based on her up bringing, acculturation and idiosyncrasies, she has a bias accepting Igbo as the tribe we come from. Something must have been amiss why this happened which a well written historical background and not oral tradition will help clear the air for our generation and the many more coming after us. A man like Chief Ebigwei should write a book on the Origin and Culture of the Anioma people in Delta State if he hasn't. Igbo Thread Opener In Closing Remark Trowing TheTowel : Emeka Is not funny that one of the main reasons the Igbo is marginalised is because of a coup headed by two Igbo sons from Okpanam and Onitsha, yet we hear their people say they are not Igbo? Una dey try. |
Chibuzoc:Anioma response on the Igbo Facebook Thread: Ighekpe it's all about the oil. There's no need for too much talk Hope this helps… Oba Erediauwa of Benin, in his book: I Remain, Sir, Your Obedient Servant, corroborate the above assertion, when he affirmed that “the Onitsha indigene (i.e. the native Onitsha Division) would frown if you called him or her Igbo. He is an “Onitsha man or woman” and would refer to all others as “those Igbo people.” This distinction is easily understandable having regard to the facts of history which tells us that the natives of the present-day Onitsha town migrated from the ancient Benin Kingdom. +++ Nnamdi Azikiwe, in My Odyssey, An Autobiography, affirms that “in tracing my paternal lineage, I could say that both parents of my father are direct descendants of Eze Chima”. As for his maternal ancestry, Azikiwe is “the first son of Nwanonaku Rachel Chinwe Ogbenyeanu (Aghadiuno) Azikiwe, who was the third daughter of Aghadiuno Ajie, the fifth son of Onowu Agbani, first daughter of Obi Udokwu, the son who descended from five kings of Onitsha. Five of these rulers of Onitsha were direct lineal descendants of Eze Chima, who led his warrior adventurers when they left Benin to establish the Onitsha city-state, in about 1748 AD.” +++ The meaning of the word Onitsha Azikiwe further went on to narrate his knowledge of the origin of Onitsha as told by his grandmother thus: As grandmother found me a willing listener, she used to enjoy entertaining me with stories relating to the early history of Onitsha. One day, I asked her the meaning of the word ‘Onitsha’. She explained that it had historical significance. The terminology meant one who despised another. It is a contraction of two words, Onini (to despise) and Ncha (others). So that the two words when joined together mean one who despises others. R.N. Henderson conciselyfurther explains this attitude to non-Onitsha Igbos when he asserted that both Nri and Onitsha people employed the succinct proverb “igbo have no king” (igbo enwegh eze) to set their neighbors apart from themselves. Onitsha people refer to ndi-gbo as “those who do not wash”, alluding to the traditional custom in the uplands of rubbing the body with palm oil as an aromatic, odor-masking substitute for bathing. For more: click: https://eteje.com/.../origin-of-onitsha-the-facts.../... Nwaemo Please Tell them. As an example out of hundreds…. the prime minister of the Asaba Kingdom is the IYASELE. The prime minister of The Benin kingdom is the IYASERE. On a serious note. Ok let’s agree Ibusa was settled by Igbos and Asaba by Binis… Enechi I’ve read that account. I have friends from Ibusa and will refrain from further comments. Food for thought: Every account of igbo crossing the Niger to found towns includes a calabash which fell down - by divine intervention - Coincidence or just plain old FABU? It all looks like a romanticization of history. Talking about Evwreni, for generations, the elders spoke of having migrated from Elele. A completely unthinkable proposal since at the time, to go from Evwreni to Elele, the only road was through Warri and Asaba and Onitsha. Didn’t seem plausible until the Warri port harcourt road was created, and it all made sense. Bottom lineD People know their roots and their traditions. You can’t cancel them. If they say they’re not Igbos, respect them. If you choose not to, don’t stand perplexed by their antagonism… You can’t have both. I rest my case |
Chibuzoc:Go to Anioma Groups on facebook. No near Ika oo. Your eye go clear. The Igboman wey open this thread for facebook, when he see the overwhelming response of his Anioma friends including the one I posted here, he wave a flag of surrender not Biafra. I will go back and post more from that thread. No be dem dem. These are the real people not nairaland youths. |
theTranslator:Mods want to slow Seun down. They are not doing him any favors by slowing view counts. They censor the conversation and the revenue. Nairaland has become very critical at this time, these mods will only limit its influence. They do not understand the time and cannot respond to it appropriately. |
Chibuzoc:Keep Deceiving Yourself. Dem say dey no want you, you say na by force. Make shame dey catch una small. |
Prosperchuks1344:There will never be a critical mass of consensus to make these people Igbo no matter what you guys churn out here. The only consensus the people can reach without ripping the community in civil war is to remain in the Midwest Region Federation post Nigeria. |
Imsoblessed:What is instructive about the Facebook post is that it was by an Igbo man trying to accertain Anioma is Igbo. Unlike nairaland, mostly real people comment on Facebook and all the comments from Asaba natives was vehemently hostile to the notion of them being Igbo. Entirely all old stories of parents and grand parents telling them to distance themselves from Igbo. Niger Deltan Igbos only live on nairaland. |
Asaba Man Responds On Facebook To Asaba Is Igbo Claims Asaba Inlaw: "In This Whole World You Couldn’t Find Anyone To Marry But An Igbo" Short story: One of my earliest and most persistent memories is this - near my village, 1 kilometer from Asaba, was a camp where people lived. Who are they I asked - “Wa bu Ndigbo” I was told. Translation: “They are Igbos”. I was confused. Aren’t we Igbos, but I said nothing. Another occasion I heard some commotion in the direction of the camp. Oh don’t be worried I was told. They are Igbos. Again so thought but we are igbos! Fast forward 3 decades. A friend of mine from Aba who married from Asaba, over a beer told me “I can’t get over Asaba people. During my native law, my wife’s people kept abusing her in the same language I spoke. They kept saying ‘so in this whole world, you couldn’t find anyone to marry but an Igbo?’” These are true accounts. People from my area… even the indigenes of ONITSHA (I’ve been told) consider themselves Not Igbo. I grew up seeing my people refer to others as “Those Igbo people”. I have just learnt that the phrase “Igbo enwere Eze” was coined by core Igbos to separate themselves from the Onitsha indigenes… Following that logic, Asaba nwere eze .... kedụ ka ọ ga-esi bụrụ igbo? ka anyi biri n’udo nwanne m nwoke m zuru ikpe m It’s not an issue to be swept under the carpet. We need to consider it seriously. Just because everyone in America speaks English doesn’t change their ancestry (some are of German, Italian, Russian, African, Chinese ancestry...). Ancestry can only be determined scientifically by DNA analysis. My sister discovered she has ancestors from Mali, Senega... of course!! The river Niger flows through those nations before it passes the shores of my village which sits on the West Bank of the Niger net Asaba. Bottom line, you cannot teach a man how to write with his left hand in old age. The real issue is why so many Igbo speaking people reject the idea they’re Igbo. (Like some Egyptians in an interview I watched - who can’t understand why they’re considered Africans at all!). Let’s have an academic discussion why! We may learn valuable lessons. ♂️ Good morning.

So you de work for the mere commissioner for villa. Make una dey enjoy. Na una time. No just come dey disturb us with this propaganda when Fulani don set the whole country on fire. |
vasel15:The Fulanis and Igbos are TWO OF A KIND! They seem to share ancestry because they have too many things in common. 1. The Fulanis are nearly 100% Muslims while the Igbos are nearly 100% Christians. 2. The Fulanis have linkage with the Arabs while the Igbos have been trying to link themselves in all manner of theories with the Jews. The Arabs and Jews are brothers who have been at each throats since begining of time. 3. The Fulanis and Igbos are scattered all over Nigeria and across Africa much unlike ANY of the other ethnic groups in Nigeria..There is hardly any community in Nigeria you don't find the two of them. 4. Unlike ANY other ethnic groups, the Fulanis and Igbos are two groups that have DISTINCT TRADES that are totally synonymous with them. The Igbos do spare parts and Fulanis do Cattles. 5. The Fulanis and Igbos both have a desire to settle down in strange places outside their own regions ostensibly for the promotion of their trade. They both pursue this desire by aquiring lands for their expansion schemes. The Igbos buys surreptitiously while the Fulanis isn't too keen about buying but bulldozing their way through. 6. They BOTH have a propensity to form COLONIES of their tribes in every areas they settle.down and ALWAYS ON EDGE to rise as a group to defend themselves. This trait is more common with only these two. 7. The two groups are experts at learning the languages of the locals amongst which they settle. They go out of their ways to LEARN the languages ostensibly to promote their businesses. 8. The two groups, unlike any other ethnic groups in Nigeria, have the greatest numbers of their Kinsmen outside their ancestral home lands. 9. They both have a strong desire to be able to RUN FREELY AND DO AS THEY WISH in their places of settlement without any regard to the environment and social stability of the host communities. The Fulanis want to be able to GRAZE THEIR COWS ANYWHERE and the Igbos wish to be able to convert even the highways everywhere into markets. 10. In the course of their Cattle Grazing and "Market" expansions both of them have devised formidable systems of stockpiling dangerous weapons. 11.. The two of them are the ONLY tribes who feel endangered in the area they have settled. There hasn't been any such fears Expressed ANYWHERE BY ANY of the.other ethnic groups. 12..They are about the ONLY TWO ethnic groups that seem to have internationalized their ETHNIC/TRIBAL SOLIDARITY in a way that looks like JIHADISM for the Fulanis and ZIONISM for the Igbos. *Yorubas have only just recently done such a thing in the wake of the agitation for Oduduwa Republic.* 13. The two groups have about equal levels of DEEP CONTEMPT for each other, far more than any other ethnic groups could ever have for either of them. In truth, the FULANIS AND IGBOS have unfathomable CONTEMPT FOR EACH OTHER you will be wondering where it started. 14. Ironically, the first coup of 15th Jan 1966, second coup of 29 July 1966 and the painful and wasteful civil war of 1967-1970 was basically between the two arch rivals. 15.. Buhari fools only Foolanis. |
Elock1:Niger Deltans have never taken Igbo agitation seriously because the Igbos and the Fulani are the biggest stake holders in Worn-Nigeria. The strategy of the Niger Delta has always been to wait for the Yorubas to awake from their slumber as they were recognized as the only ethnicity that will break up Nigeria. Yorubas will lead everyone out of Nigeria. One Nigeria Igbos don't hate Biafra with passion because they are aware the Niger Delta hallucinations border on Igbo derangement. Niger Delta has always been ready. We are not noise makers. |
Why this write up. The whole world knows that Biafra is an Igbo insane expansionist Niger Delta land grab. Don't give it any merit. We have filed an objection to the proposed map of Biafra at the UNPO. As at now there can be no Biafran referendum. All parties will be invited to validate the basis for their referendum. As of now only Yoruba Nation and the old Midwest region has established any basis for an undisputed rational reason for a referendum. The Second Midwest referendum will come before all others and it will pull the whole Niger Delta out of Nigeria. |
I Dot Com |
Right now the only invaders I see are Igbo irrational expansionist salivating on Niger Delta land. |
Vaughanlanrewaj:You have no shame and self worth. With all the humiliation Igbos suffer in Nigeria culminating in a president that calls you a dotard, you're still here preaching One Nigeria because you don't want 5 states Biafra. Where is your pride? Everyone in this your One Nigeria hate you. Get some pride boy. |
