is there any means of getting this thumb print through an HP scanner ?

Unless your HP Scanner is a biometric scanner, if not you cant get any thumbprint processed unless only your finger will be processed. You will your palm. Hp scanner is only meant for the scanning of images.

The software (Jamb Biometric)  is built for (32-bit OS-Winxp or Win7). You will need to convert your system to 32bit(32-bit OS-Winxp or Win7) before you proceed, in not money will go into the drain.  Becareful license issued is only met for one system not 2 system. 1. Do you have Window Installer 3.1 in your system, if not install it from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=889482fc-5f56-4a38-b838-de776fd4138c&displaylang=en.

2 Try installing dot net frame work 2 at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en ,

3. java runtime engine at http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp and

Do you have a license or have you installed prerequisite?.

HI ALL THE GURUS IN THE HOUSE. I JUST BOUGHT A DIGTALPERSONA 4000 BUT I HAVENT USED IT YET. WHILE INSTALLING THE PRODUCT IT TELLS ME THAT THE SOFTWARE IS FOR 32-bit OS WHILE MINE IS A 64-bit OS. I HAVE NOW DOWNLOADED THE DRIVER THAT FUNCTIONS WITH MY SYSTEM AND MY SYSTEM CAN NOW DETECT THE SCANNER.

MY PROBLEM IS THAT WHENEVER I TRY TO OPEN THE JAMB BIOMETRIC DETAIL ICON ON THE DESKTOP, IT ALWAYS REFUSES TO OPEN. PLS CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT ON WHAT TO DO. OR WILL IT STILL WORK WITHOUT THE JAMB ICON ON THE DESKTOP OPENING? THANKS

Never mind, sometimes it happens that way. You will think it is the site but from the software precisely. I have add the same experience. Any way lets thank God is working now.

Sometime the Offline program freezes until the bugs were fixed. I am sure this is being taken care of.

Every program always have bugs, even Microsoft that is why there always have service packs.

When you enter the site with users pin/serial. You have to validate the biometric details and start filling the form. Then once username and password was created. The user have to login with username and password. Just like entering email. The user has 14days to fill the form, precisely 13days from the day of using the pin/serial.

1. You have to be sure you are connected to the internet, if not that serial/pin will be not be on internet(jamb form).
2. If you saved the info to your system you have to be sure where it was saved to.
3. If you did not tampered with the Software's default folder is known as j[b]ambtemp[/b] and can be found in My Document.
4. If it failed to submit to the jamb site, checked failed log in the log extract from Output Details.
5. When it is successful it will be seen from Transfer Saved Data
6. You need to click on setting and select store from the dialogue box, if not the software will delete the biometric details after scan/transfer.

MAKE SURE YOU SET IT TO STORE, when the internet works again you can be able to resend.

I can go on and on but I have to go out from here now. I have other things to attend to.

Experience this morning: After saving the biometric details using the offline software and the window indicates details saved click okay, the biometric details did not display when the S/N and PIN were entered onto the jamb e-registration site as new user. The site requires that I scan and input the thumbprints afresh. Anyone experiencing this same problem? Is it from jamb site or the biometric details were not actually saved, though it indicates details saved, and what could be done? Thx all.
