maintenance is the key word here. We've used Honda in our family for years (honda halla, academy) none has pulled before.

We are jot saying u can't modify ur cars to get ready for the weather, but on no occasion should u mess with ur cooling system especially in a modern car. U can get ur car ready for winter, but don't mess with the cooling system.

For winter u can do the following to get ur car ready.

1. Changing to winter tires
2. Making sure ur antifreeze level is intact. A 50/50 coolant mix is required for normal driving, but during winter u can change to 60/40.
3.changing ur wipers to winter wiper blades that can cut through snow.
4. Checking the spray nuzzle of ur wiper system.
5. Etc etc etc. BUT DO NOT MESS WITH UR COOLING SYSTEM.

this cracked me up big time. Chuky234, like i said in my earlier post, that word was applicable probably in the 70s. I am not against changing tire sizes or some other modifications to suit what purpose a car was purchased for without risking an accident, however I am against the removal of thermostat and direct connection of the cooling fan. I don't know of any car made after the 90's that needs that level of abuse. The dude that has been driving for 35 years might not even know his tire size not to talk of how many cylinders his engine has got. If you give a brand new car to an idiot, he will still find a way to wreck it. My cousin caused an overheat on her tokunbo lexus rx300 just two days after she bought it. She failed to close the radiator cap properly. She called me to say the dealer sold her a bad car. When i inspected her car, i showed her her error and she has since learnt her lesson.

Cars made from the 90's don't need this abuse.

Op, your major focus should be yo advise us on the use of coolants instead of water to avoid overheat since coolant has a higher boiling point when compared to water
