I hold both Gazzuzz and Erico2K2 in high regards.

I wish that they wouldn't be recommending used tires just as they should be recommending new dangerous tires from any country.

Motorists can find good new tires and should be guided to do so.
i get you
Car TalkRe: Please Stay Off Tokunbo Tyres At All Cost! I Drove 130mph Or 209km/h... by Specialist900(m): 4:09pm On Jun 03, 2017
EgunMogaji:
Why are you doing this?

The same due diligence that goes into ascertaining that a used tire is good is the same you will use on a new tire.

I bought four brand new Firestones in Nigeria last month. Good tires are there, they are not cheap but life is not cheap either.

We can't be doing the same things and expect different results.
they are only saying they will choose a use Tyre over a brand new china Tyre

yes o, those UK models are really gas friendly

When next I see him, I'll snap the engine bay for you to see
Car TalkRe: D4 Green Light Blinking And Gear Dragging by Specialist900(m): 9:00am On Jun 03, 2017
GAZZUZZ:
there are no strict emission laws there, so car manufacturers can get away with a lot of crappy cheap designs, the vehicle might have a production date of 1998, but still not have an OBDII port
this is a better explanation. Cos I was marveled when I searched and didn't see. I still feel it might have been yanked off by our electrician. The engine is a 1.8l vtec. It looks more like a civic engine

GAZZUZZ:
you were looking in the wrong place grin

It is originally on the right as a converted car!! Check under glove box it would have been dangling somewhere there
his was imported from dubai and so wasn't converted. I even had to resort to YouTube to locate the port. I checked where YouTube said it will be but couldn't find it still huh

Another thing with the car was I also looked for the O2 sensor but couldn't find it. That car is weird

I took it for a scan but was told there's no port for the scan to NE plugged.
accord 98 comes with an obdII port
Car TalkRe: D4 Green Light Blinking And Gear Dragging by Specialist900(m): 8:16pm On Jun 02, 2017
GAZZUZZ:
There are 2ways of fixing this problem. 1. Scan and it points you in the tight direction, or Go old Sch wich means take down every solenoid on the gear box and test. Your vehicle is a 98 accord by your description, it will have a port, even if it has been chopped off, another port can be installed.

I remember looking for the obdII port in my friends 99 accord UK. I no see. I later told him maybe his has been chopped off

Option A - $15 X 380 = N5,700(minus shipping cost)

Option B - A decent fairly used in Nigeria is N2,000

Option B is my advice

Team Toks any day!!

What is a toks tyre? It is a used tyre that was removed from a Foreign used vehicle. (In better shape than one removed from a nigerian used vehicle tongue)

1. DO not buy a winter branded Toks tyre

2. Ensure age of toks tyre is less than 4years

3. Do not over gauge tyre (35psi max!)

4. Do not drive at speeds Exceeding 200KM/HR tongue

5. Buy Trusted brands like michelin and dunlop

Toks tyres will not fail if you Follow these guidelines.
and I've always been having the belief that a new China Tyre was better than a toks. Thanks oga

Good morning Chief.

Good news and bad news.

The good news is I got a rewire to check out the gear and found out that the 3rd clutch transmission fluid pressure switch was bad. So the car drives fine now.

The bad news is that push when I'm slowing down and the gear is changing from 2 to 1 is still there cry
No blinking D lights, just that.

Any advice will do

Thanks
How much did you change that for?

Timing belt are always enclosed.

They are replaced on an interval basis. E.G 70,000km or 4years which ever comes first.

When purchasing a car, if you do not know the last time your timing belt was replaced, please Replace and have you own records.
I didn't learn this on-time, had my timing cut on Monday this week

there lies the problem. Check that the harness is connected.

If connected replace pressure switch
harness is connected. Does this 3rd gear pressure switch affect all the gears?
