F117nighthawk:There's no chance the project would be completed. None! So, you and your entire family will perish with the end of Tinubu's government. MUMU like you voted for Tinubu despite indisputable evidence that he was indicted by the US Justice Department for distributing Narcotics. Do you think Tinubu is now less criminal-minded because he is old? |

Do you guys need further proof that Nigerian leadership is clueless? Five years ago, I was laughed at by young people when I wrote that Nigeria's main problem is NOT corruption. You can still have advancement with corruption. Nigeria is at a stand still, because leadership is clueless. Ikpeazu is walking free, despite clear evidence of fraud. And Yahya Bello has not been been brought to justice, despite paper trail of his crime. Poor countries and countries at war have more reliable and stable power supply than Nigeria. Lack of economic opportunities and hardship have plunged Nigeria into insecurity and chaos! Nigeria is on the brink of disintegration! And the the Senate is debating national anthem!!!! |
Construction projects, like roads, markets, stadiums, markets, malls, etc, are the oldest scam of State and Federal Government. Ask yourself why many State Governments often preferably carry out capital projects, such as road construction rather fulfill recurrent obligations, such as payment of pension and salaries? Capital projects like road construction are quick kick-back schemes, whereby contracts are stupendously inflated, and materials are criminally over-invoiced, so that government officials and other can quickly get their payoffs. Tinubu is poised to pull off the same scam with N14.35 trillion Lagos-Calabar coastal highway. The final cost will certainly be three times the initial projection. And Tinubu is desperately squeezing suffering Nigeria, so that he will qualify for a loan. Taking FOREIGN LOAN, without establishing industries that will generate FOREIGN EXCHANGE amounts to going around in circles. Good roads are vital and necessary for economic growth. But Nigeria is facing extreme lack of economic opportunities which has caused insecurity and chaos. This road construction will not buttress or create sustainable economic opportunities, because, at some point, the project will end or be abandoned. Then, what? At this time of existential economic crisis, any leader who does not create employment opportunities that will generate foreign exchange is pulling a quick get-away scam. And Tinubu is using borrowed funds for capital project that will not generate revenue for the country, instead of diversifying the economy For decades, they have been talking about diversifying Nigeria's economy, but can't figure out why it has proven impossible. It is because of our centralized economic system. We want to be progressive and great like America and other advanced economies, yet we are practising the very OPPOSITE of economic system that makes those countries great. It would be unthinkable here in the US, Canada or other Advanced economies for the Federal Government to take the resource revenue from oil rich states and disburse it to other States. Nigeria's economy will automatically diversify when each State is responsible for its own survival, and, therefore, focuses on the resources in which they have comparative advantage. When the British handed power over to Nigerians, there were pyramids of export produce such as peanuts in the North. There were miles of cocoa warehouses in the West. There were vast tracks of palm oil plantation in the East. There was thriving mining industry in the Middle Belt. This will be the situation if Nigeria's economy is decentralized now. Decentralization is the only way Nigerian economy will diversify, and rescue Nigeria from dependence on oil, create economic opportunities, raise the value of Nigeria's currency, and rescue Nigeria from further descent into insecurity, chaos and disintegration Instead, Nigeria is practising over-centralized economic system that equalizes all the States in the federation, thereby, hindering advancement, and nationalizing poverty. |
Nigeria, wake up!!!! Construction projects, like roads, markets, stadiums, markets, malls, etc, are the oldest scam of State and Federal Government. At this time of existential economic crisis, any leader who does not create employment opportunities that will generate foreign exchange is pulling a quick get-away scam. We have so much resources and products that can be mined and harnessed for EXPORT, instead, the government is using borrowed funds for capital project will not generate profit. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VS2Qw5iWAvk Ghanaians have monetized incitement of hatred against Nigeria. It is getting out of hand, and unfortunately, Nigerians are taking it lightly. But Nigeria have the number to kick out from YouTube Ghanaians who are tarnishing Nigeria's image for CLICKS and VIEWS. Don't take it lightly, because young Nigerians abroad are paying a prize for the soiling of Nigeria's reputation by Ghana and South Africa. Here's how to Report any video that is tarnishing Nigeria's image: Select Report option underneath the video. Then, select, "Hateful or Abusive content." Then, choose, "Promotes hatred and violence" Then, write: "Harmful comments that promote hate" If a video generates enough REPORT, it will be taken down, and the YouTuber might be sanctioned. |
Show us the boobs nau. Haba. |
Even though Yemen has been at war for a long time, they have more stable power supply than Nigeria! Useless Senate should debate only power supply until there's stable and reliable power supply in Nigeria. The problem can be solved with simple decentralization. Instead, they went and privatized a resource of such crucial importance. In a society where there's no consumer protection!!! |
Nigerians know the government is criminal. The government is open and bold about being criminal. Nigerians just shrug and accept it. Sad. |
The world embraced Afrobeat, and they are all running away from Afrobeat. Most tracks are Trap music. Two are Amapiano. Only Kizz Daniel, Phyno and Spyro are Afrobeat. I don't know how to classify. Bnxn & Ruger. I really loath the way Odumodublvck is poisoning Nigeria's music scene with trash. |
Surveying Nigeria from abroad, it is clear that our people suffer from Authority Worship Syndrome. The leadership brazenly steal the national wealth without fear of reaction from the suffering citizens. It's like the average Nigerian believes that leaders are more Nigerian than they are. It's sad. For as long as leaders are not held accountable, they will keep enjoying, while the people keep suffering. |
Stop chasing shadows. The strength of your currency depends on the range, diversity and quality of your export? Nigeria has one main product on the spot market. Nigeria needs to diversify her economy. To do so, the economy has to be restructured. But they will not do the necessary restructuring. So, lack of economic opportunities will increase insecurity which will destroy Nigeria. We are fast becoming lawless Haiti. |
Rivers Crisis: The issue is not economic hardship that people are facing, not unaffordability of necessities of life, not scarcity of jobs. It is Political Drama!!!! Sadly, even the citizens themselves view Democracy as political drama. Nigerians view elected officials, like a Governor, as an actor in a political drama or party politics. Overseas here, Democracy and politics are about job creation, increasing industrial activities, boosting food production, and improving social services. State and Federal leadership focus on economic well-being of the people, instead of Party politics. Economic well-being enhances quality of life, breeds happiness and contentment, and brings peace and security. This is what makes a society Advanced. Even Nigeria's media are clueless that every time they interview a Governor, the focus must be about what they are doing to improve the life of their people. |
How do these people not know that the strength of your currency depends on the range, diversity and quality of your export? Nigeria has one main product on the spot market. Meanwhile, we are still practicing the same retrogressive economic system that was introduced in the 60s to benefit Northern Nigeria. Nigeria needs to diversify her economy. To do so, the economy has to be restructured. But they will not do the necessary restructuring. Instead, they will be chasing shadows with removal of subsidies and removal of citizen's flexibility with the dollar. Meanwhile, lack of economic opportunities will worsen insecurity, which will destroy Nigeria. |
I am not feeling this one at all. Pass. |
How do you allow entire game to be played on your half, and expect not to concede a goals? The defensive scheme allowed Ivory Coast to use Nigeria any how |
To me, it's not that we lost, the densive scheme made us look totally outclassed and embarrassed! |
Removing subsidies only hurts citizens. It merely takes the little relief that the citizens were getting, and saves it for the Government. And what will a corrupt Government do with the savings? Pay national debt? Squander it? The problem is that the "reforms" will not improve or advance Nigeria in the long run. It shows the real problem with Nigeria. Cluelessness of leadership. They have no idea how to advance the country. Even the citizens themselves are just as clueless as the leadership. Nigerians still believe that corruption and tribalism is the reason for Nigeria's backward slide into economic anarchy and insecurity. I laughed the other day when I read that Nigeria purchased $1 million worth of armaments to combat insecurity. Insecurity is a symptom of BAD GOVERNMENT. The problem is lack of ECONOMIC OPORTUNITIES and HARDSHIP. And the Government is fighting symptoms of bad government, instead of restructuring the system in a way that will trigger economic diversification and employment opportunities If you only treat symptoms, the disease will kill you. As a nation, Nigeria is almost dead. Our problem is STRUCTURAL. The United States has more diversity and corruption than Nigeria, and it's still advanced. There's a reason the State of California is the 5th largest economy in the world. While the State of Michigan is poor. If it was Nigeria, both States would be equally poor. This is because Nigeria has been practicing the very opposite of economic system that exist in America, Canada, Germany, Japan and other industrialized nations! Restructure the economy!!!! The drug baron has no idea what to do. Nigerians are just as clueless. Keep blaming corruption. |
For decades, have smart people not been calling for the decentralization of Nigeria's economic system? Have they not been begging for each State to develop their own natural resources and control their own destiny! Have we not sounded the alarm that Nigeria is practicing the very opposite of the economic system that exist in America, Canada, Germany, Japan and other industrialized nations! Have we not been begging the Federal Government to stop the practice whereby we drill oil in one State and allocate the revenue or proceeds to other States? Have we not tirelessly begged our Government that the only way to diversify Nigeria's economy is through decentralization and economic empowerment of States, as it is done in America, Canada, Germany, etc? With economic empowerment, some States will manage their natural resources better than others. So, industries will relocate to those States that provide better infrastructure, like uninterrupted power supply. Yes, some States will experience economic boom, and, unfortunately, some States will lag. But, more significantly, the entire Nation would not be held back by those States that cannot, or do not, want to move forward. But Hausa-Fulani oligarch stubbornly resisted decentralization, thereby preventing the diversification of Nigeria's economy. Decentralizing the economy would mean giving up control. Northerners have been controlling Nigeria like it is their private property. After the counter-coup of 1966, when they seized power, all National policies and decisions have been made with the interest of the North, leading to gradual and continued decline of the country. Northerners have been using Nigeria's resource wealth like it is their private fund. They dominate Nigerian armed forces and National security; they rushed the capital to the North; they built Kainji dam with resource revenue from the South; they blatantly defied the principles of location of industries, and established oil refineries in the North. They don't have oil, but they ran NNPC, and controlled most Oil Blocks. They enjoyed preferential treatment for admission into higher institution - the list is endless. Over-centralization compelled the country to depended on one main resource revenue. And this practice has finally killed the country. It's too late now. |
"The trip was Tinubu’s third to France and his 14th foreign visit since he assumed office eight months ago." It's incredible how people in power flagrantly luxuriate in national wealth without any concern or fear of uprising by the suffering masses. Why are Nigerians so passive? |
The coach embarrassed Nigeria with his defensive tactic because it made Nigeria look stupid, and totally outclassed. Ivory Coast goal keeper was hardly tested. |

The coach lost this cup for Nigeria. Stupid defensive tactic |
The coach is an idiot. How do you allow your team to absorb so much pressure? |
The coach is an idiot. |
Ivorians are not better. It is the tactics we played. The coach is an idiot. |
Idiot coach. Now, he wants to attack. That's what you should done as soon you you went up one goal. |
Now, what are Eagles going to do? They basically let Ivory Coast pressure them any how. |
This nonsense is on the coach. What type of pattern is this? |
Osimehn is useless in this match |
I don't know if it is the pattern we are playing, but Osimehn has not ipmressed me at all. |
