📌 THE 3RD REASON You'll Know Exactly How Much, You Ought To Be Earning, Per Time, To Never Worry About Money, Again. Let's say you find out, you spend on average, N15,000 per week. This amounts to roughly N60,000 in expenses, monthly. Armed with this information, you'll know, you should NOT look for a job or settle with one, that earns you, N60k or less, per month. With this information, you'll know you ought to set a weekly, income goal beyond N15k or beyond N60k per month, in your business to stay afloat. If you spend per time, what you earn per time or more than that, you have two options. It's either you cut down on your expenses, which really isn't ideal, or you expand your income. With your smartphone and the money-making opportunities, that abound on the internet, it's easier than ever before, to increase your income. When you earn a lot more than you spend per time, you never have to worry about money, ever again. Comprendre vous? Tomorrow, I'll end this thread series with the 4th reason, why it's important you know your weekly expense. Do follow me here, so you won't miss out on the next thread, I'll post. |
📌 THE 2ND REASON You'll Know Whether Your Current Job Or Business Is Helping You Move Forward Or Not. Imagine you have a job that pays you N50,000 monthly. And you discovered, you spend roughly N70,000, per month. How will that make you feel? Will it make sense? Now, if this trend continues through 6 months, you would have amassed a debt of N120,000 (N20k diff. by 6) or thereabouts, that you have to refund to the various lenders, amid your family & friends, that have been helping you. This is definitely not a good place to be, for you now have to juggle between paying for important expenses and settling growing debts. Well, when you discover your weekly expense, you'll quickly be able to tell if your current job or business makes financial sense. You'll know how profitable your source of income is, which will help you decide whether to cut down on your expenses or find means, to increase your income. Comprendre vous? Solidkay:I concur. The more one knows about money, the better decisions, one will make. |
Some years ago, it dawned on me that just knowing how much I earn every month, won't be enough to put me on the path to financial freedom. I understood that just because someone earns N500,000 per month doesn't mean he's doing better than another who earns N150,000 monthly. I realized that the missing piece of the puzzle which many don't pay attention to, is their weekly expense. In this NL thread series, I'm going to reveal to you, the 4 reasons why you must know your weekly expense. This knowledge will be a life saver in your finances, so don't take it for granted. Okay! Let's get into the 1st reason, right away! 📌 You'll Know The Various Places, Your Money Has Been Going To, Over Time. You'll agree with me that it's easier to spend money, than it is, to make it. In fact, a lot of it can be spent in such short time. I could buy a bottle of Hennessey for N60,000 tonight, but it'll take the average employee, 30 days of hard work, to earn that as salary. Well, what you cannot measure, you cannot control. And nothing goes faster than money you don't measure! A problem, known is half solved. It's better to know where your shoe, pinches than to endure the pain, for months. In the course of discovering your weekly expense, your eyes will open to certain things you spend money on, which will either impress or shock you. And this revelation will help you decide what to spend less on and what to spend more on, in the future. Comprendre vous? *** Tomorrow, I'll resume this thread series with the 2nd reason, why it's important you know your weekly expense. Do follow me here, so you won't miss out on the next thread, I'll post. And uhmm, if you can't wait till tomorrow, I have an exclusive offer for you, which you can have access to, right now. davis51:If you're indirectly asking if I'm broke, well I am not. If seeing my bank balance is more important to you than getting the insights of this post, then there's no point showing you. You are not ready. |
Let's get into the hidden things about money! We'll begin with an exercise. For a moment, imagine you have N100,000 sitting comfortably, in your bank account. Now, imagine it's N400,000. Hold on! Now, imagine it's N900,000. Now, let's take it to N2,000,000. How do you feel, as you see these cash figures? It must have been a mix of fear, excitement & worry, as the money kept rising! Well, you're not alone! Others will feel the same, in varying degrees. Now, let me tell you an unpopular truth I discovered in an amazing book, Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind, which I read some years ago. Every human being has what is called a "money blueprint", programmed in their minds. It acts like a thermostat, so when you possess an unusually high amount of money, it vibrates and nudges you to do all you can to "let go" of it, till you return to what is normal for someone like you! Some people's money blueprint is set at N20,000. Some are set at N100,000. Few are set at N1 million and above. So, when a N20k man suddenly earns or wins N50k, he'll go into a frenzy and spend the excesses till he returns to N20k or below! When a N500k woman has N50k left with her, she'll be restless until she earns back N500k or more! Now, this leaves us with two important questions! Why do people get broke often? Why do people who earn so much at a go, impulsively spend till they fall back to small money or broke-ness? Well, the reason is hidden in a strongly rooted belief they have, which they picked up as children, growing in lack or poverty. They believe that money is the root of evil so they fear or worry about being rich because it means they'll do bad things and disappoint their loved ones! Nothing could be further from the truth! In the Bible, where this popular notion originated from, it is clearly stated that the "love of money", NOT money, "is the root of evil!" When you love money more than people, you'll be moved to do bad things, like stealing. And you know what? When you lack money and are unnecessarily desperate to get it, you'll be moved to do bad things too! Hey! Having a lot of money is never a bad thing! Money is not evil. Money is just a tool! A means of expressing who you already are! If you're good & caring, more money will make you more generous! If you're bad & deceitful, more money will make you worse! Money is good! Worry less about more of it & work on improving your character! Now, that we're clear on that, here comes the million naira question! How can you grow your "money blueprint", so you'll be eager to find opportunities to make a lot more money, and not rest until you do? Well, there are three key steps. Find a means to have a lot of money sit in your account. And when it happens, don't spend or transfer it immediately to the person who owns it. Just look at your balance and smile. Feel good about it. Get comfortable with it. Think of the good, you could do with it. Collect pictures or screenshots of heavy bank balances of people who are succeeding, financially. Look at the high figures, smile and confidently tell yourself. "Having a lot of money is good for me. This is going to be my experience, soon!" Decide on a high amount of money you'll like to have sit in your account. High enough to get you uncomfortable but not too high that it shuts down your brain! ![]() Then, figure out what you can do to earn this money, legitimately of course. If figuring this out is a challenge, I'll share some money-making ideas with you, later on, but NOT on Nairaland! Remember that your income can only grow to the extent that you do! First expand your "money blueprint" and you'll have the fiery drive to make more than you normally do, and stay longer without going broke! Later today or tomorrow, I'll briefly share with my WhatsApp TV viewers, a new business I recently got into and how I'm utilizing the money strategy you now, know! If you aren't one of my viewers on that platform, I wonder why. Join my growing train of WhatsApp viewers today and get a free copy of that book, "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind"! SAPA! I've been hearing of that 4-letter word for a long time but didn't know what it meant, until of recent.. ![]() Simply put, "Sapa" is a 9ja slang that describes a situation where one is (extremely) broke. In other words, little or no money dey inside one's pocket. And the economy of the country seems to make Sapa worse.. ![]() Well, it is inescapable! At one time or the other, the average Nigerian has faced "Sapa". However, there's something really important you need to know about this money wahala, as you go deep into this new year. There's an ocean of difference between being broke and being poor. And your understanding of the difference will put you on the path towards wealth & freedom from money worries. Brokenness is the lack of money. This is normal for money flows like current to fulfill its purpose. It comes, it goes and comes again. It could go quickly and may not return immediately, leading to brokenness. Poverty is the lack of confidence in making money. This is abnormal for Nature, in and of itself is abundant. A simple understanding of one truth can help you start building your "confidence muscle". Money is never made. It is collected from people. And you can collect it the right way, which I recommend, or the wrong way, which I don't advice, like stealing. About collecting the right way, there are a lot of people in the world today, with countless problems that need solving or better ways of solving... ...and they are willing to give their money to those who can solve their problems! Check out my signature below for a simple opportunity you can take advantage of to start making money. Don't just be a consumer, giving your money to those who have what you want. Also be a producer by giving to people what you have that they want, in exchange for their money. And you don't have to be in business before you start solving problems! As a man, a woman, a friend or an employee, you can start flexing your problem-solving muscles, for free or a little fee. As an employee, this act will even make you more valuable in the eyes of your employer. Come to think of it, that's why you're even paid, monthly! To do certain tasks that contribute towards solving a big problem! Brokenness is a physical state. Poverty is a mental state. Don't fear being broke. Dear Nairalander, Here comes a soft reminder. Something you should put at the front of your mind as the new year gradually unfolds. People's opinion of you, is none of your business, nor should you make it your business. Whether they're wrong or right, what difference does it make? Leave those who talk down about you, behind you for you're ahead of them. Resist the urge to "shalaye", as the Yorubas will say. Don't put on a mask because you want to fit in and be like others. Be yourself and keep being yourself. Let them see you for who you really are, for this will attract to you, the right set of people. Be yourself but be your best self! Let who you are today, be better than who you were, yesterday. Keep growing! Lead The Movement! |
To begin, I want you to sip in the words of the popular Hollywood actor, Oscar Isaac, which will be instrumental in making 2022 an incredible year for you. The words were uttered by the character he portrayed in the popular thriller/crime movie, A Most Violent Year, released in 2014. In the movie, he played the role of an immigrant fuel supplier in NYC, who struggles to protect his family and business interests when the city is plagued with rampant corruption and crime. In one of the scenes, during a dinner meeting, he was asked why he kept holding on to one of his fuel depots, to which he gave an amazing answer, worth noting. When it feels scary to jump in, that is exactly when you jump! Otherwise, you'll end up staying in the same place, your whole life, he said. Powerful! Now, here comes further insights on it. Based on numerous studies on human psychology, a clear reason was found which explains why certain people struggle in poverty or mediocrity their whole life... ...while certain others succeed almost effortlessly in whatever venture they get into. Think about this, for a moment. Research has shown that roughly 95% of what we say and do, on a daily basis, happen without our conscious effort. In other words, most of our activities & behavioral responses, in the course of a day, run on autopilot or habits! Now, this is wonderful because it doesn't just prevent your brain from imploding due to overwhelm but frees it up to do other things that require thinking. The potentially dark side of it, is that running on habits puts you in the comfort zone, which gradually shrinks into a danger zone,... ...if your habits are the ones that keep you in one spot, rather than grow you, forward! A wise one once said that successful people are simply those with successful (good) habits! Conversely, people who struggle & seem not to get ahead in life, are those with unsuccessful (bad) habits. Bad habits make you comfortable so they're so easy to build, today! And once installed, they lead you to an unending cycle of pain & regret, tomorrow. For instance, oversleeping, incessant sex, binge TV watching, etc. Good habits make you uncomfortable so they're hard (but not impossible) to build, today! And once installed, they lead you to an unending cycle of happiness & fulfillment, tomorrow! For instance, abiding by a daily, morning routine that builds your body & preps your mind to run your day in an amazingly productive way! "If you don't do something that scares you, everyday, you have not learnt the secret of life" - Mark Twain When you do something scary & uncomfortable often, no matter how little, you subtly unlock a new level of your self identity. Basically, you convince your mind that you can actually do something it thought you could never do! And when you do it again... and again, over a certain period of time, necessary to install a good habit, the activity becomes less scary & more familiar! And when the good habit is fully locked in, you'll become an unstoppable force towards your dreams, while attracting to you, those good things of life that others, mindlessly chase! In 2022, if you want to change the quality of your life, don't just change the way you think & act but make a habit of thinking & acting in that certain way, which propels you ahead! I'm reminded of the words of a wise author. All change is hard at first, messy in the middle but gorgeous in the end. Put all these in mind as you go about your goals, this year. Don't dwell on the destination. Dwell on the journey to the destination. Break down the journey into steps, make a daily routine of it and build good habits around them! A happy new year to you!
