cgniyi: Since you sculpt already in C4D, getting into Zbrush shouldn't be too difficult, I think.
I've had a lot of Zbrush tuts for years now, but I only started sculpting this year when I finally got a Wacom Intuos.

Btw, do u guys use a tablet to sculpt in blender/C4D?

I use my mouse, don't have a wacom yet, below is the end result, will try and see if I can add up some detail and post d final render

i have zbrush 4R6 though, dont know my way around it, presently downloading some basic tuts

The zbrush users are winning already, if u guys see my end result, it looks like and ebola patient

Over 3million polygons , So far my system hangs lyk 4 times already had to forcefully shut it down with d power button, I think I'll just do it anyhow and submit, coz if I should subdivided the model again, it'll slow my system and it'll be hanging every damn minute

I haven't been active for a while, but I occasionally check the thread to see if there's any progress.
So far, the complaints about system specs, I'm actually surprised. I just assumed based on the some of works posted already this wouldn't be an issue.



I feel you should post a WIP instead, this might just be the motivation for everyone else.

lol, actually, creating that lava man is not an issue, I didn't withdraw from d competition coz I don't know how to go about creating the character but bcoz I was disappointed, not what I was expecting, you should hve brought something fresh and interesting,

HP pavilion, intel Core i3, 6GB RAM, nothing special about the system haha, its not really abt the system though, the model for d contest doesn't even look interesting to me, thants why I decide nt to participate

considering ur one of the contributors to the prize money i can understand ur desire not to actively compete, but u can still b part of the project, to trade tips and just enjoy the experience.

i myself, will find time to also send in an entry and share my workflow as soon as i can create a free window, even though im ineligible for the prize.

its primarily an exercise to build individual skill(s) and foster a stronger community.

would love to participate o, but that character up there is too detailed, I sculpt in cinema 4D, and if I should sculpt this lava man and everytin, my C4D will keep crashing due to high number of polygons, I modelled a space station sometimes back, it was so detailed and complicated that my system couldn't render it "OUT OF MEMORY" due to high concentration of polygons

BTW, Which package in graphic design did you learn... Mine was corel draw
