Gaming / You Win Some Darkfall Gold And Lose Some Others by srgh8ate(m): 7:58am On Feb 04, 2013
You'll be able to judge the skill of a player with the gear he does use. Possibly someone while using Racial weapons along with a sturdy, full suit of gear, you'll know he's sufficiently good to not only circumambulate with it, but additionally provides the skills to help keep it on his character and out of enemy hands. Either he's got friends nearby taking care of him, or he's skilled, or both. And if someone looks unworthy of the gear, you could go on it on your own (provided you'll be able to handle the Darkfall Gold).

I do not mind being looted and killed because it is just a two-way street. Shipped to you some and lose some. I would not think anyone really enjoys being killed and looted and that is electronics equipment ? a lot superior to no penalty at all. It doesn't only enhance the thrill of PVP as well as the adrenaline rush of competition, but it also develops a grudge inside you that makes you strive harder to become better, and to exact vengeance against people that wrong you. When someone kills an individual and takes their sword, you will see 2 options: Sit inside dirt and cry, or pick yourself up, take out your whole body, grab your replacement gear and go get that sword back. DF aren't going to be a casino game for that defeatists or victims. It will likely be a sport if you can get vengeance and prevail, irrespective the fee.

While DF will forever have regions in a condition of war, clothing an overall mess at all times. Alignment and player-retribution will see compared to that. It will have purpose behind the madness, either to disrupt the enemy clans powerbase, or advance situation line in DF, or maybe for pure fun of fighting. It'll be an extremely driven world, the place that the players are shaping it daily.
Gaming / He Is Returned To His Realm by srgh8ate(m): 8:50am On Dec 21, 2012
October is gone, and with it went the Mad King.If the number of his slippers I have piled up in the corners of my bank vault is any indication, he's ill-prepared to deal with any sudden drops in temperature. On the first day of November, Lion's Arch citizens marveled at the sudden disappearance of all the festive decorations, applauded the continuity of the Guild Wars 2 gold sale still being absent from the Piazza, and set about life as normal.
Gaming / Guild Wars 2's Asura Week by srgh8ate(m): 8:32am On Dec 20, 2012
Day three of Guild Wars 2's Asura Week is here, bringing with it some detailed talk from writer Angel McCoy. In the new ArenaNet blog post, Angel looks at various aspects of writing the lives and buy Guild Wars 2 gold. She covers everything from their views of other races, their jobs, even the ups and downs of their familial relationships: "A black sheep in the family affects everyone's reputation, so family tensions among Asura run hot."
Gaming / We Need To See Certain Things In Swtor by srgh8ate(m): 7:15am On Dec 13, 2012
Sometimes we need to see certain things from different perspectives in order to understand the whole truth. If detectives listened to only one eyewitness, then the totality of the crime would be missing. They could head in the wrong direction, thereby letting a criminal go free and possibly detaining an innocent person. Although game design isn't exactly like busting a criminal, it is a lot like other parts of detective work to buy swtor credits. Designers attempt to determine why certain aspects of a game work or don't work. They gather data and design a balanced system, but the totality of success isn't seen until they gather eyewitness accounts from a number of different perspectives. This is why today I want to look at the positive side of the gear treadmill.
Gaming / Norn Week In Guild Wars 2 by srgh8ate(m): 6:36am On Dec 11, 2012
The other installment of Norn week has arrived for the ArenaNet blog, and it also looks like it's following pattern of last week's human focus on this Guild Wars 2 gold sale.

As with yesterday, day two brings us a series of voice clips to augment the short paragraphs concerning the Norn outlook on surroundings. Both text and audio both included some interesting new insights into lore that we're already familiar with. Each Guild Wars 2 race have a unique "dark" or "rebellious" faction -- the Sons of Svanir however.

There are some mentions of the faction highlighting what sort of other Norn reluctantly accept its members in every day life. Check out the full entry on ArenaNet's blog as Norn week continues!
Gaming / A Different Post About The Official Forums by srgh8ate(m): 7:07am On Dec 10, 2012
Security has style of been a hot topic in Guild Wars 2. ArenaNet announced 2-3 weeks ago that they were implementing bringing two-factor authentication into play, understanding that joyous day is here! A different post about the official forums introduces players to mobile two-factor security.

ArenaNet is utilizing Google's authenticator, that's entirely on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone, and players uses this authenticator to verify devices rather than the previous email authentication system. The team is advising those who can buy Guild Wars 2 gold that is currently a beta feature, and already has two changes planned for your not too distant future. Soon, unlinking the mobile authentication system will need additional codes, and users will have a choice to not forget current networks as opposed to needing to authenticate every login.
Gaming / Pvp Enter In Guild Wars 2 by srgh8ate(m): 5:55am On Dec 07, 2012
Guild Wars 2's competitive 5-player PvP have been getting a wide range of love lately. To the score, ArenaNet has can a short article dedicated to your second PvP enter in Guild Wars 2: world vs. world, where three servers compete in the two-week battle for Guild Wars 2 gold sale.

Each WvW arena consists of four huge maps. Each map is competent at holding greater than 100 players from each of three factions (servers), so up to 1,200 concurrent players is able to get in about the large-scale action. The good thing about having three teams duking against each other is the fact things often balance themselves out naturally. If one team goes beast-mode and starts making life miserable for all, additional two teams can naturally gang to fight the initial.
Gaming / Arenanet Will Need To Have Neglected The Techno by srgh8ate(m): 7:14am On Dec 06, 2012
The techno fantasy and "Mega Lazors" has turned me away from Guild Wars 2 that is really a shame when i was eager for http://www.guildwars2gold.org/ . The times when that concept was new now every developer and the ugly sister are performing it. Arenanet will need to have neglected the Techno and bound to the original Guild Wars 2 setting.
Gaming / I've Really Enjoyed The Pvp Features In GW2 by srgh8ate(m): 9:22am On Dec 05, 2012
I've really enjoyed the PvP features in GW2. A friend and I jumped into a couple free tournaments and they were a blast. However, we weren't able to do random 8v8 matches together(Click here: http://www.guildwars2gold.org/ ). This was really frustrating, as we just wanted to play some quick games together rather than get into a bracket while learning maps and having to start all over if our team lost. If there is an option to queue together (and not just join an open game and hope we end up on the same side), its lost to the both of us. We couldn't find a way to go in as a small group.I'm all for balance within random matches and whatnot, but this was a huge turn-off and has led to me not playing the game all too much since. Hopefully they'll finish these tournament upgrades soon and work on the quick randomized matches.
Gaming / Hell Look At Guild Wars 2 by srgh8ate(m): 7:51am On Dec 04, 2012
There seemed to be an abundance of solid information inside the post. I'm counting a couple of things he said they can reveal guidance on later: the replacement potions plus the trait/attribute system change.

Games change much, particularly when they are not in beta, i am not saying it's vaporware. Hell check out Guild Wars 2 http://www.guildwars2gold.org/ . they brusquely trashed, what, two previous attempts in the game because Blizzard didn't like where these were going? Nevertheless there have been major system hauls since they've started speaking about the overall game thorough.

That's how quality game developers do things, they play test the heck outside of their games in case a selected system isn't adequately meeting the developer's expectations they'll likely either change it scrap it are available program a fresh system that does. It's not something to worry about.
Gaming / Arenanet's Plans For Supporting Guild Wars 2 by srgh8ate(m): 4:04am On Oct 31, 2012
Guild Wars 2 has been live for more than a month. Now that ArenaNet has more or less dealt with initial problems like server stability, absurd imbalance, and exploits, the company can start looking forward. ArenaNet devs have long talked about providing new content and huge support for the game, and a blog post this morning details some of their plans for that. ArenaNet has "formed multiple live teams focused on expanding Guild Wars 2 in the long term."

So what are those teams, and what do they do? The Live Security team is all about cracking down on bots, spammers, and scammers. The Live Response team is made up of the fine folks addressing balance issues and bugs. The Living World focuses on adding new content and rewards for PvE and WvW. There's a PvP and Esports team focused on making Guild Wars 2 the best PvP game it can be. Holidays and Events have their own special team, dedicated to keeping up the Guild Wars legacy of amazing holiday content. In addition, the Holidays and Events team will be creating one-off events that occur in the world. The Mac and Performance team is working on getting Guild Wars 2 to run on the widest possible range of hardware. Bonus teams will take care of any projects that don't fall in the direct domain of other teams. Last but not least, the Commerce team will be keeping an eye on the Guild Wars 2 economy and thinking up new goodies for the Black Lion Trading Company.

Gaming / Orcs Must Die! 2 by srgh8ate(m): 2:32am On Oct 30, 2012
After having played through Orcs Must Die! 2, I echo my first impressions: more of the same with some improvements. If you enjoyed the original Orcs Must Die!, you will like Orcs Must Die! 2 more. It is good action defense.

Difficulty is moderate. Returning players will beat most maps on the first try but not with a five-skull score. You are not playing for the story, so you unlock the next level to have access to the new map, not to see what happens next. You can always dial the difficulty down; once you have beat all the maps, you can dial it up.

As I said, there is a grind for “character advancement”: upgrading traps, weapons, and trinkets. The grind is short, past which you are just adding options. You can respec costlessly at any time, so you only need enough skulls to top off 10 things, and you only need 10 fully advanced if you are competing for high scores. I am in the 250-skull range, and I capped my favorite traps while getting a small array of options without needing to respec between them. (Easy grind: a “perfect” Nightmare level nets at least 9 skulls for every repetition, and there are a few quick and easy Nightmare levels.)

I like the Sorceress. Her base weapon comes with a charm spell, and nothing quite slows the multi-ogre rush like making them hit each other. It is perhaps too easy to clear the game with the tricks you learned in the first game rather than using the new toys. I like the trinkets: convert that trap slot you don’t need into a passive bonus and occasional active ability like “make more money” or “reset all traps” (or hit both at once). The addition of endless mode gives you a way to stay on your favorite map longer and keep building more traps.

Co-op is the great new feature I have yet to try. My friends list is not full of OMD2 players. You definitely can beat the game solo, even when a map has eight entrances to watch, but several of the maps would be much more reasonable with a second wand or shotgun. Then again, several of the classic maps would be much more reasonable with a second wand or shotgun.

Gaming / Quote Of The Week by srgh8ate(m): 7:56am On Oct 29, 2012
I know people for whom the sum total of the “game industry” is Angry Birds, Madden, and Call of Duty. These are not vile “dudebros” … they’re just people who can literally play like three games all year and feel like that was a good year. They’ve got a game to play with their friends, a game to play by themselves, and something to do in line at the Butt Store or whatever. As a point of comparison, I have been installing a game while typing this paragraph.
