I have this neighbor who happens to be my friend but not close. He has come to borrow money from me more than three times promising to pay back on so so and so day but never returns it and infact he never talks about the money again and i also kept quiet. Now he met me again this morning asking me to borrow him 5k, promising to pay back tomorrow evening that his children have not eaten since yesterday. Sincerely i feel pity for him because of the children but i'm equally scared of giving him due to the previous ones he hasn't returned. Please guys what should i do? Honestly if i'm sure he'll return it tomorrow i won't hesitate to give him right now but i fear he'll repeat what he has been doing.

The funny thing about him is that anytime he doesn't have money, he remembers i'm his friend but once he has money, i'll never see him at all, he doesn't come close to me, his wife becomes his friend when he has money. I sent a guy money around middle of last year he was complaining of his generator not working, and I sent him money to repair his gen, buy fuel, subscribe internet and have something extra. Annoyingly,this guy didn't even ask me directly, he said he wanted to go and carry generator somewhere which I asked him what would the person be using again. I was like instead of inconveniency others, make I assist voluntarily .

Less than 24 hours, my guy was telling me he has exhausted the money that I should assist with more. I just simply told him I sent the last money in my account to him
