Clear penalty. It was a goal if the hand was not in the way.

Should be a penalty. Without the hand, the ball was in the net.

Education / Re: Abuja Private School Owners Reject Wike’s Fee Hike by stagger: 8:04pm On Jan 30
saintjimos:
Private Schools in Nigeria are greedy

You will see a school with about 500-1,000 members were students are paying #100,000 as school fees per term/head and they won't even pay their teachers 50k

How many months are in a term?
Teachers are paid three times for every term-based school fees. They are also paid during the holidays. So a school can only collect revenue three times a year, but have to pay salaries and run operational costs every month.

Are wage bills the only bills a business pays? Please talk to a school owner you know and get properly enlightened.

Equatorial Guinean team is a team to watch out for in this Tournament.

After Nigeria vs Equatorial Guinea match when the Guinean coach said they actually wanted to batter Nigeria but Nigeria was very lucky, I thought he was joking. He was actually right.

Sincerely, na patriotism dey make on support the Super Eagles, the team is not just performing at all

Nigeria bossed that game in the second half. If Osimhen had not been so wasteful, we should have won 3-1.

All those motorcycles the FCT has been crushing for the past several years could have been retrofitted for policing in areas where cars cannot get to.

George studied at LSE. Also, almost every Nigerian elite has a passport of a developed country. I get the point of being in your native homeland and controlling the system. But those names you listed are storied elites.

P.S. You once relocated to Barbados via its digital nomad visa.

Indeed I did, but the new government brought an opportunity in my business line which was still running and I came back in 2023. A good decision for me. I have three running contracts already and this year is setting up to be my best year in business.

RETURNOFENDSARS:
I'm a lawyer, called in 2016. I'm married with a kid and I'm in my early 30s. My wife is not working, so I have been the one shouldering the responsibility, despite that, God has given me my own house. Three bedrooms flat in front and three bedrooms flat at the back, all with full pop, water heater, full tiles, in fact all the modern facilities.
In all honesty I made between 600k-1.5m per month.

Just of recent, the zeal to Japa to Canada has been on my mind through school route. I currently have like 7m in my account and I know I could raise it till 15m before the end of the year. The cost of schooling keep giving me issue. How will someone travel abroad and spend over 15m when I could used the money to buy hostel from people who desperately needs money or invest in real estate.

Another concern of mine is that the future of legal profession is reducing because of the amount clients are paying particularly in the area of agreement and other things.

Definitely, I won't be selling the house if I decide to relocate, the rent from the two flats will go to my mom and the least could only be 500k per year. I won't have issues sending money at home.

Please, I really need advice from lawyers that are there, how do you cope migrating. Is it advisable I leave, if yes, what are the first things I might encounter, if am relocating it will be with my family. I just don't want to regret relocating. The exchange rate is just too much

Oga, forget the Canada moves. Stay back home and build yourself. OCJ Okocha, George Etomi and other lawyers who have made it big in Nigeria did not japa anywhere. That their generation is going. You are the next generation in line to take over. Why can't you guys see the simple fact?

In the next 10 years, do you think the main political actors in Nigeria and the main business guys will still be dominant players?

OBJ is in his late 80s.
Dangote will soon clock 70.
Adenuga is 70.
Femi Otedola is 61.
Jim Ovia is 71 years.
OCJ Okocha is 71.

When all of you japa and these guys are all gone, who takes their place?

If I were you, I would put myself and my acts together and build myself to become the successor to these guys in my own way. You cannot do this in another man's country.

Ask yourself, why are the likes of Dr Pate and co running back to Nigeria even with successful careers abroad?

Agriculture / Re: Farm Workers Available In The North. by stagger: 12:31pm On Jan 15
My take:

Workers are very unreliable. The guy offering the services may not be a scammer, but may be a victim of the numerous problems these workers create. They never keep to the contract.

I had one who would routinely leave the farm and disappear for two days. One just left after 2 months and refused to answer calls. Another left my birds unattended to and left nearly 200 birds dead from heat stress. Another was selling my poultry feed until he was caught red-handed.

Can you please recommend any relevant international certification(s) for me as a Data Analyst?

I learnt Excel, SQL and Power Bi last year.

I am currently learning Python

Excel, SQL, Power BI and Python are enough to make you a complete data analyst. The question you should ask is: what field can I deploy my skills to? I know an individual who consults for oil and gas companies as a Business Intelligence Specialist. Your skills are the same skills he has.

You can have all the skills and certifications in the world. Put them to use working for foreign companies as a consultant or a remote worker. Not for Nigerian companies who do not have the capacity to pay you what you should be earning.

Church and wickedness dey like akara and bread
Infact I prefer to do something with worldly person per say

The church is not a replacement for home training. Your parents are the ones who should have instilled values in you before you enter into any position where you are exposed to money.

If you have no family name to protect, then you can go ahead and steal as much as you want, church or not. After all, Betta Edu goes to Winners Chapel and gave a testimony, but the bible says GOD IS NOT MOCKED. What you saw, you reap. You cannot come to a platform like Shiloh, and give a testimony when you know your ways go against the bible and what God says about stealing, especially when you use the poor as the platform for such embezzlement.

Why did the suspended minister not go to Canaanland for immediate prayer if she knew her hands were clean?

You have to get international certifications that have cross-border acceptability. IT is one area where you get that.

Still in dispute as there is an EU court case that will decide the classification of people like us as regulars that should receive other benefits, and not as independent contractors. My mates in the UK are earning 4 times what I earn.
