Nigerian lawyer, and media entrepreneur, Chude Jideonwo has taken to his Facebook page this morning, to once again take a swipe at the Buhari/Osinbajo led administration.

He wrote;

”I am so desperately sad I couldn’t make this protest today. But my spirit, my heart, my mind, my very soul stands with it. This citizen action matters, urgently. It is the confirmation that we have not all lost our sense of what is right and wrong, purposeful and proper.


President Muhammadu Buhari has failed greatly in delivering to us the great promise that some invested hope in, and others – doubting – dared to allow for. Bloodsucking vampires have taken over our nation under his watch, and he has done nothing – he and his Vice President – but whine and dodge responsibility and hide in comfortable offices while their citizens die. Shame. Shame. Shame.
We must make the cost of this indifference, this hypocrisy, very high.
Until these killings stop, or justice is done, or the incompetent are removed.
Enough is enough.

Super eagles captain John Obi Mikel’s dad, Pa Obi has been rescued on Monday by the Enugu state police command after he was kidnapped on June 29.

Ebere Amaraizu, the police spokesman for the state in his own word said

On Monday at about 2.30pm, we rescued Chief Obi and his driver, Ishaya John, unhurt in Egede-Udi forest, along old Egede Affa road in Enugu state.

“They were rescued hale and hearty and pa Michael Obi and the driver have rejoined their family,”
The spokesman added that the abductors demanded for 10 million naira ransom but that the security operatives swooped on them before payment were made and engaged them in a gun battle that lasted for several hours which prompted the abductors to flee and also left their captives behind.

He concluded by appealing to members of the public to be on the look out for anybody suspected to be suffering from gun shots injury and report to the nearest police station.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has written to alibaba.com, a Chinese online sale platform, over reports that Nigeria’s Permanent Voters Card is on sale on its website.

In the open letter titled “A Matter of National Security and Electoral Integrity Involving alibaba.com,” he said the action is a breach of Nigeria’s electoral and national integrity. The letter which was signed by Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Director General of Atiku’s Presidential Campaign Organisation, such sales would greatly impede on the chances of a free and fair Nigerian election in 2019.

“Greetings and many congratulations for your entrepreneurial successes. I have great admiration for what you have achieved, especially coming from a humble background.

“I write this open letter because my attention has been drawn to an egregious breach of Nigeria’s electoral integrity and thus our national security, by the sale of Nigerian Permanent Voter Cards, on alibaba.com

“We are very concerned about this security breach because it threatens Nigeria’s desire to build strong institutions, like the Independent National Electoral Commission.

“A situation like this could lead to massive vote buying and thus thwart our efforts and instead create strong men where we want to enable strength in institutions.

“Permanent Voter Cards were used in the 2015 Nigerian elections and the alibaba platform was also in existence then, yet we did not have this breach.

“That precedence leads me to believe that if alibaba.com refuses to lend its platform to those unscrupulous elements who want to thwart Nigeria’s democracy, we would greatly increase the chances of a free and fair Nigerian election in 2019.

“Therefore, I appeal to you to use your good offices to permanently remove these items from alibaba.com

“Furthermore, I do kindly ask you to consider sharing information with Nigeria’s security apparatus that may help expose any impropriety.

“The world is currently witnessing the unfolding of allegations, counter allegations and investigations into election meddling in the 2016 American Presidential elections.

“These occurrences have ensnared several technologies, IT and social media platforms includingFacebook, Cambridge Analytica and Twitter just to mention a few.

“Their involvement has had far-reaching political and economic impact which has affected their market capitalisation and consumer confidence.

A suspected kidnapper, Nnamdi Ethelbert, Ogidi, has been arrested by detectives attached to the Anti-kidnapping Squad, Imo State Police Command.

Ogidi has a record of kidnapping elderly women.

The 34-year-old confessed to the police that he and his gang members who are currently at large have abducted several persons out of which 15 of them were elderly women.

Ogidi was arrested after he kidnapped a 74-year-old Regina Nkwocha, from Umuanyika, Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo state.

They had entered negotiation for N20million ransom when detectives busted their hideout at Umuaguma in Owerri west, Imo state on May 23, 2018. Ogidi was arrested while the other members of his gang escaped.

The Imo state Commissioner of Police, Dasuki Galadanchi told Daily Sun that the suspect, Ogidi popularly known as Bori and his gang members have been on the wanted list of the police over several cases of kidnapping.

The Police Commissioner explained that back in November 29, 2017, Ogidi and his gang kidnapped Adulphus Akagha aged 94; on May 7, 2018, they kidnapped 65 -year-old Dorothy Nkwo and demanded for N5million ransom.

She was later released after the family paid N500, 000.

He stated that Ogidi had successfully kidnapped Mrs. Nkwocha and was negotiating for a N20million ransom when detectives led by Supol Sani Ahmed stormed their hideout and rescued the victim.

At the police station, Ogidi confessed that he joined the gang of kidnappers five years ago. “I am from Imo State and after dropping out of senior secondary school, I learnt how to become a mechanic.

“Along the line, I met bad friends who initiated me into the deadly cult group known as Debam fraternity. Most of them were into one bad thing or the other, so it was easy for me to join a gang of kidnappers who are also members of the cult.

“We derive pleasure in kidnapping elderly women and while their family members will be running around for ransom, we will take turns to rape the women.

“Our hideout is at Egbema local government. We prefer elderly women because it is easier to control them and their family members are always in a hurry to pay for their release,” he said.

Ogidi begged all the elderly women that they had kidnapped to forgive him. “I know that we have made a lot of money from kidnapping but because of the trauma that those women who are old enough to be my mother went through, I am sincerely sorry.

"I still hope that the police will arrest the others because I cannot face the consequence of our action alone.”

A Nigerian man has been caught impersonating the Nigerian Army. The man who is yet to be identified was seen in a video shared by popular comedian, Julius Agwu via twitter being interrogated by men suspected to be army officers.

In the video, the man is heard answering questions regarding how he came about the army uniform, he had on – before the 17 seconds video cut off, the man had endured a few slaps from his interrogators.

On his young squad handling pressure ahead of the game, Rohr said: “I think the youthfulness can be a disadvantage sometimes. We saw it in the last two games. Stupid penalties, some fouls as well because they are so young.

“The experience of Argentina can be their positive point as well. Each player wants to be in the second round. What is more important on the day is the concentration and fitness of the players with good organizations also, players that can make the difference individually and collectively.

US REACTS TO BLOODY MASSACRE OF OVER 86 PERSONS BY HERDSMEN IN PLATEAU

The United State Government has broken its silence following the mass murder of innocent villagers in Plateau state by herdsmen.


The U.S. has strongly condemned the attacks in Plateau in which no fewer than 86 people were killed and several others injured.

The U.S. in a statement by Ms Heather Nauert, Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State, said the perpetrators of the attacks should be brought to justice.

“The United States condemns in the strongest possible terms the killing of civilians and destruction of property in Nigeria’s Middle Belt region over the weekend.

“We are concerned by the recent increase in armed violence against civilians and call on all political and community leaders to lend their voices to peace and to work together to find lasting solutions to these rural conflicts.

“We join President Buhari and others in sending our deepest condolences to the affected communities, and in the desire to see the perpetrators brought to justice and to prevent further violence,” Nauert said.

According Mr Terna Tyopev, the Public Relations Officer of the Police Command in Plateau, 50 houses, two cars and 15 motorcycles were burnt in the attacks by herders.

The herdsmen were reported to have invaded Razat, Ruku, Nyarr, Kura and Gana-Ropp villages of Gashish District in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area where the deaths occurred.

The Plateau Government has imposed a dusk to dawn curfew in Riyom, Barkin Ladi and Jos South local government areas following the attacks.

President Muhammadu Buhari condemned the attacks, describing the incident as “very painful and regrettable”, and warned that the government would not rest until the assailants were brought to justice.

Sakawa is the euphemism for ritual money and it’s a practice which is looked down on in the Ghanaian society yet it is practiced secretly by mostly the youth who is in search of quick and easier wealth.


A church has officially opened in Ghana and is calling for more members and from what we gather, the specialty of the church is ritual money.

From the video, the pastor is seen chanting and invoking for money whiles the members hold red burning candles and chanting along with him.


Interestingly, there are both the young and the old in the church and the official dress code for the church is either red or black.
