Rapper Iceberg Slim has written a public apology to his ex, actor Juliet Ibrahim.



Iceberg Slim began by thanking Juliet, who confirmed their breakup last October, for everything.

“You loved me unconditionally, even at my lowest points, and only wanted honesty and love in return. Unfortunately, I’ve failed you,” he said.

He continued: “I lied, I cheated, I took your love for granted… and in turn brought ridicule and shame on you.”

He added that he’s speaking up now because “in life, sometimes you have to reveal, in order to heal”.

About one million fans are asking HBO to remake Game of Thrones’ final season.





Candy Tv gathered that a petition on Change.org titled “Remake Game of Thrones Season 8 with competent writers.” now has over 500,000 signatures.

The petition reads; “showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on,. This series deserves a final season that makes sense. Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!”

While the online petition has rapidly racked up signatures since it went viral just one day ago, the number represents a small fraction of Game of Thrones’ immense fan base. But what it does provide is a stark glimpse at just how fierce the larger fandom-wide backlash over this season has grown.

A Game of Thrones fan created the petition on Change.org a week ago, on May 9 — several days before the cataclysmically divisive, penultimate episode of the series, “The Bells,” aired on May 12. But the petition didn’t pick up traction until it garnered media attention on May 15. At that point, it was gaining steam and had almost reached an earlier target of 15,000 signatures. As of this writing, on May 16, that number has leaped to nearly 500,000 signatures.

Meanwhile, Marsie Williams, popularly known for her role as Arya Stark in American series has revealed how the series had a negative effect on her mental health.



Marsie in an interview on CNN disclosed that her role and criticisms on Game of Thrones affected her mental health and self-esteem. She opened up about how difficult her life as a teenager was while also managing her fame from the “Game of Thrones.”

Abuja,(some areas in gwagwalada to be specific) was one of the places the mini flood visited as their major roads were taken over by water.

A Nigerian man living in South Africa has met his untimely death for reportedly harassing a female worker.

Chibuzo Nwankwo, the deceased was a patron of a local bar in Johannesburg, South Africa from Enugu. He was on Friday killed after allegedly harassing a female worker.

The Nigerian community in South Africa, who confirmed Nwankwo’s death said this brings the number of Nigerians killed in South Africa to 121, since January 2016.

Habib Miller, publicity secretary of the Nigerian union in South Africa, said a yet to be identified person opened fire on Nwankwo at the bar in Kempton Park, Johannesburg.

He added that the South African police later intervened and arrested the murder suspect.

“The deceased, a patron of the bar, got drunk and started harassing a female worker,” he said.

“Information available to the union said that Nwankwo was chased out by security personnel, but he kept on coming back, became very aggressive and rude before the ugly incident occurred.

“A murder case has been opened and an investigation has started. We call on Nigerians to be calm and allow the law to take its course.”

The union publicity secretary said the union would monitor the case to ensure that justice prevailed.

Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo met the CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai, on Tuesday as visited he visited the Headquarters of Google in Silicon Valley . Osinbajo, who is on working visit to the US, had a meeting with Pichai and a team of executives at Googleplex to discuss some opportunities in technology.

Pichai via his Twitter handle revealed that the meeting was aimed at discovering opportunities for Nigeria’s digital economy and was happy to welcome Prof Osinbajo.



However, some Nigerians on social media did not find the news exciting as they lamented that the visit will end as an excursion as nothing from the meeting will be used. Others also mentioned that it would be better for the government to start with basic education first before aiming too high.

Tanzanian recording artist, singer songwriter and youth activist – Vanessa Mdee and her musician boyfriend Juma Jux are in trouble after kissing on stage during a performance.

The lovebirds who recently got back together early this year after breaking up for six months decided to spice things up on stage and President John Magufuli government is not impressed with the gesture.


While on stage performing, Jux and Vanessa knelt down and kissed passionately as the crowd cheered them on. The couple then posted a picture of the kiss on social media which is a direct breach of the strict regulations passed by the government that banned posting of cozy photos online.





While majority of fans gave positive comments on social media, Tanzania Communication Regulatory (Basata) went hard on them. According to Basata’s Chief Executive Godfry Mngereza, the picture was provocative and hence they will not turn a blind eye.

It is not clear what action will taken against the artist and her lover but the commission has warned other artists from posting such photos on their social media insisting that they will hunt them down for the sake of upholding morality.
