At about 6am,students of the University of Nigeria Nsukka started protesting against the outrageous increment in school fees,accommodation fees and acceptance fees for new students by the new vice-chancellor,Professor Bartholomew Okolo.
Hostel Fees increased from N9,000 to N25000,WHICH CULMINATES TO OVER 200% INCREASE for the male hostel and an increment from N13000 to N30000 for the female Hostel,which is over 230% increase.
Acceptance Fees for New students increased from N6000 to N25000,WHICH IS OVER 400% increment
Convocation fees increased from N6000 to N40000,over 666%
School fees increased from N39000 to a rumoured N80000
The angry students formed a procession marching round the school premises from which they proceeded to the vice-chancellors house,on reaching the VC's house the students seeking his audience,but they met the premises locked with nobody inside,this infuriated them causing them to,destroying things in his premises,from where they marched round town demonstrating against the school fees increment.


It was a scene to behold,with over over 3000 students carrying placards walking over 30 KM to the Federal Highway in Opi,chanting "Bartho must go" .Some few kilometres from Opi,they were intercepted by Mopol Officers who intercepted the students shooting sporadically into the air.Despite Massive arrests by the police they proceeded to Opi federal highway road ( The link road between the Northern and eastern part of Nigeria),where they appealed to travelers some of whom were Government Officials.

aieromon,im sorry i wasnt clear enuf.the cursor of the fone runs around with sush speed,that makes it difficult for me to use the phone properly,i reset the phone but cudnt format it using the 3 buttons+power button.i ran nokia software update but it told me my phone has the latest update.
