cheekynero: Glad you made it here bro. I've been here a few days and its been lovely. The most important thing now is getting something to do to keep body and mind going. The country is lovely and the people are friendly. The free- Wifi everywhere is unbelievable...I really wish everyone needing visa from Naija can come here just like the Asians here have done. You almost think you are in China or India sometimes because of the number of Asians you see everywhere. For those still expectant, I wish you all the luck in the world. Stay woke God will surely have mercy and grant us visas by His special grace! |

uk101: well i don't know much about these agent thing in Australia universities, some people applied without any agent but if you insist being that you have the cash i recommend you check on the school website on international portal if they need agent to make your admission successful i think they will indicate there on the website. my 2cents though still make more inquiries
Goodluck Alright, thanks a lot. let me do the research... |

uk101: aww so sorry that admission to business administration really caused the refusals i guess, you should have tried going for pgd health information management i know Douglas College and George brown college offer pgd in that program a friend trying to apply for it for september term. Goodluck in your pursuit never give up.
meanwhile apply for Gcms note from cic so you could know the reasons for refusals usually they charge $23 don't know whether is still the same now but i feel you not going for same course program or something related might likely be the issue for refusal. Yeah! I now understand why i got refused. However, I have resolved to follow through my Health career path; would applying again to CIC workout being that they already have my records? I'm looking at La Trobe university, Australia. the school offers B.Sc, Pdg, and M.Sc Health Information Mgmt and there's a lot job employment chances in same field. I want to use study agent to start this process, can u recommend pls? |

Solitin40: 1. Australia is not cheap more expensive than Canada
2. If you are going for MSc it must be related to your Bsc
3. Diploma is a no no don’t think about it unless the Diploma is pathway to MSc
4. Pick Universities located in Sydney or Melbourne
5. Australia is unlike Canada that is DIY you will need an agent(Representative) they help you with application, admission, visa but that should not stop you from visiting this forum and other forums and also google search
6. Grab a can/bottle of coke and gala and starting reading this thread from part 1 to part 3 last page. Take screenshots of important things and research it
So sorry about your visa denial if I may ask the visa application took how many days? Well, first visa application was submitted in Aug. 8, 17; got a refusal in Sept. 22, 17. I immediately re-applied Oct. 24, 17; refused the second time Dec. 07, 17. ( took 1 month and 2wks time processes). But right now, I have resolved going back to the drawing board to doing a pgd in Health Information Management, having undergone HND in same program; then I would further M.Sc in Healthcare Management. That's just the career trajectory I want to follow right now because CIC refused me severally on the ground of career disparity. [Health Information Mgt at HND to Bachelor of Business Administration(Hons)]. |
Travel › Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by stanley2sky(m): 3:55pm On Dec 23, 2017 |
I studied Health Information Management at HND, but due to the fact the discipline isn't my passion, I intended switching to Business Administration(Hons). Though I gained admission at Brandon University, Manitoba, Canada, paid tuition and registered courses, but was severally denied a student visa on the grounds of "purpose of visit, and study prospects not reasonable with: previous qualification, previous studies, and future prospects and plans". I thought my visa refusal was as a result of career disparity and now I want to go back to the drawing board and do a pgd in Health Information Management which I already have background, and subsequently M.Sc Healthcare Management... I believe that would fly when applying for a Australian student visa. pls everyone, I welcome your good opinion in this issue. God bless. uk101: so sorry what was your first degree course program that made u apply for pgd health info management in canada? just asking for a bro that applied for admission in same program in canada. |

Benitez05: Hello guys in this house.....Thank Goodness I found this page before forging ahead with my application....I am just so confused on what or where to start from .....I recently got a refusal from CIC recently and I wouldn't want to repeat the same mistake again....I sincerely hope I can get valuable advice from you guys
First, I got an offer from UNSW to study Petroleum engineering February 2018 intake...although my background is mechanical engineering with close to 6 years working experience in the oil and gas sector in nigeria, at worst, I was expecting a diploma in petroleum engineering with a conditional offer of the masters program.... Was shocked to see that what I was actually offered was a postgraduate certificate program with no attached conditional offer....considering my experience with CIC, I am really confused if my application would fly with this offer....this has affected my initial tuition payment because to receive is very easy and sweet but to refund....very hard....
Also, I intend to apply for my visa by first week of January if everything goes well but information I am getting from agents is it will be very late by then and I would probably need to defer my admission but surprisingly, from what I have gathered from this group is that visa application takes 36 to 50 days.... I sincerely hope I get a clarification about this here because I may re consider my options if my application would extend to July....
Furthermore, I understand that Sydney is quite an expensive city coupled with the fact that UNSW is a very expensive school....but I know we have lots of Nigerians there and of course they are surviving legally....so I guess I will survive too....I just hope I am not wrong....
Finally, I have seen some people make reference to AL1 schools and UNSW as one of them. Though I know not what that means but I would like to know if it has any effect in Visa applications
Thanks people for the good works.... God bless everyone here especially the big contributors here.....for those of us that are new here please ask questions but taking any leap....it's better to ask oh because you would most likely regret it if you don't.....I am speaking from experience oh. CIC don stain my beautiful passport with their yeye refusal and I cannot afford to get another ...lol...God bless everyone here Hi Team, I was refused student visa by the Government of Canada on two consecutive applications and right now, I'm thinking applying to low tuition Australian Universities to do a post graduate diploma in Health Information Management, and subsequently M.Sc in Healthcare Management. Please, I sincerely need help so that I don't go through visa refusals again as I'm still recovering from previous ones... God bless as I await responses... |
