envynot: onegai. there is a whatsapp group that is an offshoot of the pregnancy thread they are all here. they are fond of picking on several members that contribute a lot on this thread. helovesme is one of their key favourites. she has been attacked on that whatsapp group that i wonder why people can have so much hate against someone that does not even know they exist. in their usual fashion, her case was brought up yesterday on whatsapp and they all mobilised to come here and attack her. that is why you see all sorts of unfamiliar usernames and also new usernames that are not bold enough and decided to register new ones. you members of that whatsapp group especially your leader, starbuck need to really breathe in and out.
sometimes i think it is all envy against the likes of helovesme and co.
i took out time to read the last 2-3pages of this thread. to be honest, i do not see anything bad in what helovesme typed. it is wrong to smack a child and it was clear that the mother in question showed little or no remorse and instead was expecting praise for trying hard with her child. it was only helovesme that took out time to reply every single post she made and even picked on specific issues such as checking the child's weight, the issue of the creche and so on.
personally, i will term anyone that smacks a 6months old baby to the point of tears a witch. also calling that person a potential murderer is not wrrong. there is no justification for it. i lost a niece when she was 9months old over something similar. she was a known fussy eater. the mother claimed she was feeding the baby and all of a sudden the child started convulsing. by the time the girl was rushed to the hospital, she had died. she was declared dead on arrival. meanwhile when the child was around 5months old my sister in law was caught by my mother pinching her daughter over over this feeding matter. she was warned not to do so but its clear she carried on. it is not rocket science to figure out what happened to that child. she must have forced the child to eat and the food ended up the wrong way. she is treated as an outcast in the family and it took the grace of God for her marriage to my brother not to end.
helovesme, i think its best you move on to a new username. people look at your first topic and all they see is a woman with a rich husband living the champagne life. this is why they pick on you all the time as they think you are looking down on others and you do not understand whatever suffering people are going through. you are not the only person that used harsh words on this feeding issue. how come it is you that is being picked on? your opinon on MMM did not help you either as they think you are mocking those who have their cash strapped in MMM. people's eyes are boiling and they are looking for who to vent on. unfortunately, that person was you. if i was in your shoes, i will stay away from controversial topics because you do pass on your views very strongly and you are sometimes misunderstood.
it is impossible for we all to see issues the same way or address issues the same way. some people say things as they are without mincing words.some will rather keep quiet. others would rather apply more diplomacy.
peace. Typical you.... Why you so angry about a whatsapp group that was formed 3 plus years ago.. Do you want to be a member (ouch, we don't need you cause we are friends turned family). On behalf of them, we DON'T and CAN NEVER have time to gossip over irrelevant issues... We have more pressing issues than this ...... I don't have time to thread word with you whom was born on a mango tree.... Lest I forget, June 12 2017 will make it 4 years of the whatsapp group.. We making plans to celebrate it. Venue will be posted soon. COME ONE COME ALL. |

Eddy2010: Was at Onitsha North ministry of education yesterday. They said any info about npower should be sourced from awka, federal ministry of education. So please people at awka should carry others along. Try to verify if anything is going on. bibinwaka: for now nothing is happening at Awka. have been to both state and federal. what we need to look for is our focal person which I believe is at government house. Thanks alot. I will also keep the house updated from my own side. |

zimunachimdi: thanks mummy. this task eeh,na God hand i dey.
how are the kids?
how many days should i soak it ma.
mummy soonest, thanks for the english names. they do confuse me a times. guinea corn and millet looks alike. I soak the three all together for 3 days, but I change water for all those days. After that, I ground and then sieve.. The kids are good and yours... Don't worry about the task you will get very used to it and wouldn't feel bothered again. |

zimunachimdi: mamas,is it ok if i ground only dawa or corn or should i combine the two?
i intend soaking for 24hours.
pls someone should help on how to add groundnut to it.
thanks to all mamas here. For all my kids... I combine dawa, corn and joro (dunno the English name) which contains calcium and then ground together. As for the groundnut, I ain't sure what it will turn out to if you add to it. |

Onegai: So I'm here to rant
Someone seems to be teething and won't eat, won't sleep. But that is not too bad, my issue is her Separation anxiety. It has gotten worse.
If Himself and I come home and she sees him, she starts crowing happily and waving until she sees me...and immediately bursts into tears and rushes me Like "Where have you been, I needed you!". She follows me everywhere, I walk to the kitchen she comes, I immediately turn to the bedroom, she runs after. Everytime I go into the bathroom, she has to be held back and she starts crying. She won't eat or sleep unless she's lying down on top of me!! Once I come back, she races to meet me. I can only leave the house if I sneak out. She thinks I'm walking fast to avoid her so she started holding onto my clothes and I nearly trip over her daily because she is holding onto my clothes with both hands so she can follow me. I got so pissed day before yesterday that I stripped bare-arsed and walked off. Madam stared at me, perplexed for a few minutes. Then she ran at me and grabbed my bum so she could hold on. So we are back to wearing clothes so she can hold that instead
I don't know what to do, it's really sad and exhausting. I don't think all babies are thia bad, do you? Nne, you never see mine cause my 2nd and 3rd kids where case study then..... They were exactly behaving like yours even more self.... What I did was that anytime I feel like leaving the house I gave them my clothe(wrapper) and I tell them to wait lemme get some ice cream or bla bla for them... With time they will outgrow it. |
