Nigerian Superstar, Davido has ordered the release of the two sisters who accused him of impregnating one of them and denying paternity of the child.



The superstar had earlier vowed to send the girls to jail for defamation of character. He announced a reward of N1million for anyone who provides the full details of the girls, and in less than an hour, the girls were located.

In a new video, the sisters who were arrested, apologized for their behaviour, while the videographer insisted on suing them for slandering the superstar.

Apparently, it appears that the superstar himself is too softhearted to carry out his revenge, as he just ordered their immediate release.

With the BBNaija Pepper Dem Gang edition drawing to a close, many fans of the show are rooting for Mercy to emerge winner of the N60million prize money.

The hype for her victory became louder after her bitter rival, Tacha, got disqualified from the show last Friday.

Tacha was disqualified following an altercation with Mercy that saw the both of them rain insults on each other.

While many called for their disqualification from the contest due to rules broke, they were left in shock when the axe fell on Tacha alone.

The videos showing their altercation showed Tacha pulling Mercy by her hair after the latter flung it over her face while they were arguing bitterly. For this, Tacha may have been disqualified.

However, the same scene saw Mercy grab a pressing iron and tried to slam it on Tacha after her hair got pulled. Her attempt would have been successful had it been one of the housemates didn’t step in her way to stop her.

With Tacha disqualified, it appears no one stands in Mercy’s way of winning the N60million prize money.

However, the only person standing in her way is herself, which is something only sane minds can see.

What will Big Brother tell the society if Mercy emerges winner of the prize money? Are they promoting a violent attitude? Because whether we like or not, Mercy was violent on that night. She was ready to use a weapon on Tacha.

I don’t know how rich Mercy is, but if she could act this way at her level of riches, imagine what she will do if armed with N60million.

Her failure to get disqualified already appears irritating to many fans of the show. The punishment she received is rather lenient.

Asides the violent move she made, let’s examine her utterances.

During their argument, Mercy alleged Tacha had body odour. She went further to state that her armpit and her vagina smells badly.

She stated this boldly in front of other housemates who couldn’t help but act like they didn’t hear her.

Guess who else heard Mercy make mockery of a fellow woman? Millions of Nigerians who are fans of the show and those who aren’t but became aware of it after the videos were tweeted or retweeted their way.

Mercy showed a total lack of manners and respect for womanhood. Shouldn’t she have called Tacha secretly to advice her about her body odour since she knew about it long before they started having issues?

Rather, she decided to use it as a weapon against her. When the weapon was not solid enough, she grabbed a pressing iron and tried to slam it on Tacha.

Yes, Tacha also said worse things, but she’s disqualified today while Mercy still stands the chance of walking out of the house with N60million.

If Mercy should win that money, then Big Brother should know that it has sent a negative message to Nigerian women that being rude and putting other women down is the way to go.

The Director General, National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Olusegun Runsewe,on Saturday slammed Nigerian cross-dresser, Bobrisky, saying his impact on society is worse than Ebola’s.

Runsewe said Bobrisky poses ”serious hazards” to Nigerian youths. According to Runsewe, if Bobrisky’s activities were not promptly curtailed, the resultant effect would be worse than Ebola outbreak. He said Nigerian youths deserved to be protected from imitating the crossdresser.

Runsewe urged Nigerian youths to stop imitating Bobrisky, by remaining ”responsible and good ambassadors of the nation.”

”Bobrisky is a national disaster, an embarrassment to the country, engaging in cultural corruption as a cross-dresser and we have to start to curtail his activities before it gets out of hand. We will not allow Bobrisky to destroy the future of our youths and the unborn Nigerians,” he said.

Runsewe said that when the cross-dresser’s birthday was halted in Lekki, Lagos by the police recently, it was revealed that he had been training some Nigerian youths to toe the same line with him. He said immediately the cross dresser’s party was halted a good number of the boys he was training left him. “So that was an achievement”, he said.

According to him, Bobrisky’s activities negate the culture and tradition of the nation and he could be excused to go to other climes where such culture of being a cross-gender would be tolerated.

Runsewe urged parents to guide their wards not to emulate Bobrisky but take after ‘responsible’ celebrities in the society.

Mercy after the Friday arena game reacted to the shocking eviction…

This is coming after Tacha and Mercy engaged in a dirty argument which had both housemates hurling insults at each other.

The fight started when Seyi called Mercy to the lounge so they could read Biggie’s scroll.

But Mercy who had her bath came out late for the reading. This, however, did not go down well with Tacha who rained insults at her.

Mercy in return called Tacha a dirty girl with mouth and body odour which got Tacha furious and she dragged Mercy’s hair.

Biggie after playing the clip of the fight said Tacha was found guilty of physical violence.

Biggie who quoted an article from the Big Brother’s rules said ” you are guilty of physical assault and violence.”

He, therefore, disqualified Tacha from the reality show and issued two strikes to Mercy.

Reacting, some Nigerians commended Biggie for the decision. They said Tacha deserved the disqualification.

A tragic incident occurred on Friday in Central African Republic, as three people were confirmed dead after a United Nations peacekeeping helicopter crashed on landing.

Director of Information and Public Relations of Senegal’s Armed Forces, Colonel Abdoul Ndiaye said the helicopter which crashed is a Senegalese air force Mi-35 helicopter gunship deployed to MINUSCA and it was returning from an operational mission.

Head of the MINUSCA mission, Mankeur Ndiayeh revealed that the crash which occurred as the chopper was landing in the western town of Bouar also resulted in one injury

“It is with immense sorrow that I have learned of the crash of a Senegalese combat helicopter as it was landing at Bouar, leading to three deaths and one injured,” Mankeur Ndiaye tweeted.

The Central African Republic has been enmeshed in a crisis after Muslim Selaka rebels overthrew President Francois Bozize in 2013. The forceful overthrow of government led to reprisals from mostly Christian militia.

The family of Obi Chukwuka Okonjo, the late father of former Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala is reportedly enmeshed in a fight over the unauthorised announcement of the death of the 91-year-old King of Ogwashi-Uku community in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State and the successor of the late monarch.

The former Minister was accused by her uncle, Patrick Okonjo of hijacking the functions of the royal family and men who should traditionally announce the death of the traditional ruler and also anointing her younger brother as a successor to the throne without the approval of the ruling council.

The statement read in part, “It is sacrilegious of Ogwashi-Uku custom and tradition for a princess to announce the transition of a monarch or proclaim another. It is a purely traditional function.

“Late Okonjo was never an Obi of Ogwashi-Uku under our tradition but a mere regent. Accordingly, his first child cannot be Obi as deceitfully inferred by Ngozi.”

The Royal Family however debunked claims of Obi Ifechukwude Okonjo being installed wrongly as the King of Ogwashi-Uku community.

“We want to make this known: Patrick Okonjo does not speak for the family; he speaks only for himself as he has always done" a statement released by the acting Diokpa; Umu Obi Obahai Royal family, Prince Emmanuel Ohei and others read in part.

The statement also revealed that the new Obi was rounding off some traditional rites and would soon begin his reign.

She was evicted from the Pepper Dem edition of Big Brother on Sunday during Live eviction show. Her eviction has left 10 housemates battling for the grand prize of N60m.

BBNaija host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu had announced that at least one housemate will be evicted this Sunday.

As the show gradually winds down, things are definitely heating up in the Big Brother Naija house with barely three weeks left as four of the top contenders (Khafi, Mike, Seyi and Tacha) are all up for possible eviction this week.

Following Monday nomination show, Khafi, Mike, Tacha and Omashola were placed on possible eviction after receiving the highest number of nominations; Omashola the veto power holder for week 11 had no other choice but to save himself and put Seyi up for possible eviction.

Big brother also confirmed that at least 1 housemate will be evicted this Sunday, but who will it be?.

Seyi’s nomination seems to excite Tacha and Khafi. Tacha also seems to have found a new friend in Khafi after Khafi chose to share the head of house room with Tacha when Khafi claimed the head of house title a few weeks ago.

The Trio had been on a rough path since Tacha and Seyi row during Sunday live eviction show.

Tacha while responding to a question put across to her by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, BBnaija 2019 host made a statement that caused a whole lot of reaction on Social Media. Tacha said:she had no issues with Seyi but that he sometimes acted childishly and went further to throw a jab at him, saying, “What I have achieved at 23, he has not achieved at 33”.
