Oh this thread. We came, we saw, we conquered.
6years ago we wanted to work here by fire by force. Some did. Most have left.
For those still in the system, all the best.

Travel / Re: Changing The Date Of Birth On My International Passport by stariobran(f): 9:17am On Apr 19, 2018
Hi All on this thread,

stop paying agents. Changing anything on international passport can be done through the portal.

google nigerian immigration portal, go to the site, apply for a change of whatever , fill the form, pay the fee of about 15 or 17k online, get an appointment date immediately and go for the interview.

Make sure you go with the necessary documents for the interview and you would be fine.

you do not need to spend more than 17k to get all these done the right way.

i am applying for a name change and it is all i did. my interview is next week. and No you dont have to go to abuja, i am doing this in port harcourt.

Culture / Re: Women Want To Be Men, We Can’t Be Equal – Ooni Of Ife’s Wife by stariobran(f): 5:15pm On Jun 18, 2016
*sighs* where we all get it wrong... Of course women cannot be equal to men.. Women don't want to play the role of men. Playing the role of a man is very different from gender equality. Please Google what gender equality is. It is basically about females having the same opportunities as males. Women allowed to go to school, vote and drive the same way men are allowed to. that is it. Opportunities not Roles.
Majority of women want to be treated as women and majority of men want to be treated as men.... Gender equality is something a lot of people have fought for in the past. Please Olori don't drag us back or spit in the faces on those who have made it possible for female folks to have access to these opportunities.
Talking about women who don't need men and who want to assume the role of men is a different topic and should not be equated with gender equality!!!!! Use Google and your dictionary next time

Travel / Shipping A Single Light Item From US To Nigeria by stariobran(f): 9:45pm On Jun 07, 2016
please does anyone have a clue on how I can send /ship/air freight a single light jewellery item (0.4lbs) from the US to Nigeria?
I left it with a friend and I don't know how to send it down instead of waiting for when the person will be coming back to Nigeria. I heard DHL/FEDEX would charge as much as 70$ if I use them.

Any ideas please?? Thanks

Hello nairalanders, i'm writing this because i'm so hurt, i feel unappreciated. I've been dating my boyfriend for 2 years now, and through out this period i've loved and cared for him like any loving person should maybe a little too much. And all i've asked is that he loves me just the same. I know he loves me, but i think i love him more than he loves me and he knows that. I know his job is time consuming and stressful, but i still understand and support him. Sometimes i'll practically have to beg him to call me! Thats how bad it gets. Please guys advice me because all my advice and mirror talk is doing nothing, i think i'm sick in the head because i know i deserve more than i'm getting. I keep telling myself to let go, i tried and the pain was just too much.
you're dating yourself. once you feel this way (women are very very intuitive), it's time to run for the hills. it wouldn't be easy because you're into him. take it a step at a time. stop calling. delete his numbers. do things to keep your mind busy, join the choir and go for choir practice daily. if none of those work, get a human distraction
Family / Re: Do I Take A Fifth Jamb Form At 23? Someone Please Help Me. by stariobran(f): 10:22am On Jan 03, 2016
yea I would rather you picked a pre degree form. and don't be suicidal or depressed. it's not about how early but how well. I have a friend who graduated from the university at 28 and started working in a very very very (yea note the plenty very) reputable and dream exploration company. in a year he made more than he might have made if he left school at 22 and worked in just an average place.

Education / 2016 UTME Forms For Kids with potentials, who Cannot Afford It by stariobran(f): 6:21am On Oct 29, 2015
Hello,

Do you know that brilliant kid, or rather child with potential who has his/her o'level results and needs to write the next JAMB / UTME exams but cannot afford the form? ?

I need to get forms for some of those kids. please if anyone in your environment strikes you as such, kindly get details of such kids.

No cash would be given to anyone. I would personally get the form for the people, even if it means going with them to the bank.

Thanks.
