# 7. Tom and Jerry.
It is a live-action slapstick comedy film,
based on the titular cartoon characters of the same name, and produced by the Warner Animation Group. A legendary rivalry reemerges, when the mischievious mouse, Jerry, moves into New York City's finest hotel, on the eve of the wedding of the century. This forces the desperate event planner, kayla, to hire his arch enemy, Tom, to get rid of him. However, as the mayhem ensues, the escalating cat-and-mouse battle soon threatens to destroy her career, the wedding, and possibly the hotel itself. Okay, I just have to put this line of text here.

# 6. Sing 2.
It is the sequel to 2016's Sing, and is a computer animated jukebox musical comedy film, produced by Illumination Studios. The story follows koala Buster Moon, and his all-star cast of animal performers, as they prepare to launch a dazzling stage extravaganza, in the glittering entertainment capital of the world. But there's just one catch: he has to track down, and convince the world's most reclusive rock star to join them. Essentially, what begins as Buster's dream of big-time success, quickly transforms into an emotional reminder, of music's ability to heal even the most broken hearted.

# 5. Encanto.
Encanto is a 2021 animated musical fantasy comedy film, produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. The movie is about a multigenerational Colombian family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a charmed place called the Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift -- every child except Mirabel. However, when Mirabel learns that the family is losing their magic, she sets out on a quest to find out what is happening, and save her family and
their magical house.

# 4. Ron's Gone Wrong.
Sarah Smith and Jean-Philippe Vine directed this animated science fiction comedy film. The main story follows Barney, a socially awkward middle-schooler, who befriends a defective robot named Ron, against the backdrop of the social age. However, as Ron is threatened by corporate employees, Barney attempts to find a way to protect Ron, ushering in an action-packed journey, in which the boy and robot come to terms with the wonderful messiness of true friendship.

# 3. Luca.
Luca is a 2021 animated coming-of-age fantasy film directed by Enrico Casarosa in his feature directorial debut for Pixar Animation Studios. The story revolves around Luca Paguro and his best friend, Alberto, who muster the courage to visit the picturesque fishing village of Portorosso on the Italian Riviera. The boys, however, share and conceal a great secret: they are not ordinary children, but harmless sea monsters who live beneath the sea's surface and are curious about what lies above the sea's surface. Soon after many adventures and experiences, the two wide-eyed explorers learn the true meaning of freedom, the value of family, and the catalytic power of acceptance.

# 2. The Mitchells vs The Machines.
The Mitchells vs. the Machines is a 2021 animated science fiction comedy film, produced by Sony Pictures Animation,and directed by Mike Rianda, also in his feature directorial debut. The film main story follows the dysfunctional Mitchell family, who winds up having to save the Earth from a global robot uprising, all while on a road trip. The movie has an eye catching and energetic graphics, and whether you're looking for humor, a heart warming story, or great animation, then this is the movie you should not miss.

# 1. Raya And the Last Dragon.
Don Hall and Carlos López Estrada are the directors of the animated fantasy adventure movie, Raya and the Last Dragon, which was made by Walt Disney Animation Studios. The story takes place in the fantasy realm of Kumandra, where humans and dragons coexisted peacefully, and It is based on traditional Southeast Asian cultures. The dragons, however, gave their lives to preserve humans, when the land was attacked by evil creatures known as the Druun. These same creatures have reappeared 500 years later, and Raya, a lone warrior princess, must find the final dragon, and put an end to the Druun once and for all. This is by far my favorite animated film on this list, and it has breathtaking visuals, exciting action sequences, and a vast world filled with lore and intricacies. So if you like fantasy, then you should definitely check out this movie.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is an American tv miniseries, created for the Disney+, and it is part of the Star Wars franchise. The series stars Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, reprising his role from the Star Wars prequel trilogy. The main premise is set ten years, after the Jedi were destroyed by Order 66 and Kenobi's apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who later became the Sith Lord Darth Vader. As Kenobi goes into hiding on the planet Tatooine, while watching over Anakin's son, Luke, he is called on a mission to rescue Anakin's daughter, Leia, after she is kidnapped by the Galactic Empire's Jedi-hunting Inquisitors, which ultimately leads to a confrontation, between Kenobi and Lord Vader. The show has 7.2 ratings on IMDB.

# 4, Night Sky.
It is an Amazon Studios sci fi tv series, created by Holden Miller and Daniel C. Connelly. It stars Sissy Spacek and J. K. Simmons as an elderly couple, who discover a portal in their backyard, that inexplicably leads to a strange deserted planet. Though they've carefully guarded their secret over the years, their quite existence is quickly upended, when an enigmatic young man enters their lives, and the mysterious chamber they thought they knew so well, turns out to be much more than they could ever have imagined. If you enjoy shows with a moderate pace, lots of suspense, and a unique story, then you will pretty much enjoy this series. And it has 7.4 ratings on IMDB.

# 3, Shining Girls.
Shining Girls is an American thriller series, based on the 2013 novel of the same name, by Lauren Beukes. The series follows Newspaper archivist, Kirby Mazrachi, whose dreams of becoming a journalist are put on hold, after she survives a brutal attack, that leaves her in a constantly shifting reality. Years later, after Kirby learns that a recent murder is linked to her assault, She teams up with a veteran reporter, in a quest to understand her ever-changing present and confront her past. Overall, it is a fantastic, thrilling, and totally exciting show, that will keep you hooked from start to finish. It has 7.5 ratings on IMDB.

# 2, Peacemaker.
Peacemaker is a superhero television series, created by James Gunn for HBO Max, and based on the DC Comics character of the same name, and it is a spin-off from the 2021 film, The Suicide Squad. The series follows jingoistic killer Christopher Smith, who after recovering from the injuries he suffered during the events of the film, is forced to join the mysterious A.R.G.U.S. black ops squad "Project Butterfly", who are on a mission to identify and eliminate
parasitic butterfly-like creatures, who have taken over human bodies around the world. I have to say, that I pretty much enjoyed every episode of the series, and the action, story, and humor are all spot on. And the good news is, that a second season was ordered on February, 2022. The show has 8.4 ratings on IMDB.

# 1, The Last Kingdom.
It is a British historical fiction series, based on Bernard Cornwell's The Saxon Stories, and developed by Stephen Butchard. Set in the year 872, the series follows Uhtred, who was born to a Saxon nobleman, but was captured by the Danes and raised as one of their own. While his loyalties are tested,between his birth country and the people of his upbringing, Uhtred set out on a quest to reclaim his birthright, and must tread a dangerous path between both sides, and play his part in the birth of a new nation, and ultimately recapture his ancestral lands. The series has 8.5 ratings on IMDB.

# 5, American Ultra.
It is a 2015 action comedy film, directed by Nima Nourizadeh, and written by Max Landis. The story is about a small time stoner, Mike Howell, who discovers he was part of a secret CIA program, and is a sleeper agent. But when the agency targets him for termination, his former handler activates his latent skills, turning the mild-mannered slacker, into a deadly weapon. Now, the utterly surprised Mike must use his new found abilities, to save himself and his girlfriend from getting wasted, by the failed test subjects that are sent after him by the CIA.

# 4, Bloodshot.
It is a 2020 action superhero film, based on the Valiant Comics character of the same name, and Directed by David S. F. Wilson. It follows a soldier, Ray Garrison. When he and his wife are murdered, Ray is resurrected by a secret team of scientists. Enhanced with nanotechnology, he becomes a superhuman biotech killing machine. As Ray first trains with his fellow super-soldiers, he cannot recall anything from his former life. But when his memories flood back, and he remembers the man that killed both him and his wife, he breaks out of the facility, hellbent on revenge, only to discover that there's more to the conspiracy than he originally thought.

# 3, Dredd.
Dredd is a 2012 sci fi action film,directed by Pete Travis and written by Alex Garland, and it is based on the 2000 comic strip Judge Dredd. Karl Urban stars as Judge Dredd, a law enforcer given the power of judge, jury and executioner, in a vast, dystopic metropolis called Mega-City One, that lies in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Dredd and his apprentice partner, Judge Anderson, are forced to bring order to
a 200-storey high-rise block of apartments, and must also deal with its resident drug lord, Ma-Ma. Overall, the film is a lot better that than the 1995 Judge Dredd movie, with great action scenes and visual effects.

# 2, No Time To Die.
It is a 2021 action spy film, and the twenty-fifth film in the James Bond series, produced by Eon Productions. It stars Daniel Craig, in his fifth and final portrayal of fictional British MI6 agent James Bond. The story follows Bond, who has left active service with M16, and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived, when his old friend from the CIA, recruits him on a mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist. However, the mission turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, which leads Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain, who is armed with dangerous new technology.

# 1, Top Gun Maverick.
Top Gun Maverick is a 2022 action drama film, directed by Joseph Kosinski, and it is the sequel to the 1986 film Top Gun. the movie stars Tom Cruise, who reprises his role as Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell. Set 36 years after its predecessor, the story follows Maverick, who finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission, the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, while he encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw, who is the son of Maverick’s late friend. Facing an uncertain future, and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, which culminates in a mission, that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it. The movie is available to watch in theatres, but will be released on paramount+ after its theatrical run.

In today's post, we are going to count down our picks, for the top 5 best science fiction movies, on Netflix, amazon prime video, and disney+. These Sci Fi movies all have great story, along with the right amount of action, and is definitely worth your time.

# 5, Chaos Walking.
Chaos Walking is a 2021 sci-fi dystopian action film, directed by Doug Liman. It is based on Patrick Ness's science fiction trilogy Chaos Walking, and adapted from his first book, The Knife of Never Letting Go. The main plot follows a young man, Todd Hewitt, who discovers Viola Eade, a mysterious girl who crash lands on his planet, where all the women have disappeared, and all the men are afflicted by the Noise, a force that puts all their thoughts on display. In this dangerous landscape, Viola's life is threatened, and as Todd vows to protect her, he will have to discover his own inner power, and unlock the planet's dark secrets.

# 4, Tron: Legacy.
Tron Legacy is a sci fi action film, directed by Joseph Kosinski and written by Adam Horowitz, and is a sequel to the 1982 film Tron. The main story follows Flynn's adult son, Sam, who responds to a message from his long-lost father, and is transported into a virtual reality cyberworld called "the Grid," where Sam, his father, and the algorithm named Quorra, must stop the malevolent program called Clu, from trying to invading the real world.

# 3, Annihilation.
Annihilation is a 2018 sci fi horror film, written and directed by Alex Garland, and based on the 2014 novel of the same name. The story follows Lena, a biologist and former soldier, as she joins a group of explorers who enter an area known as "The Shimmer", which is a sinister and mysterious phenomenon, that is expanding across the American coastline. Once inside the quarantined zone, the expedition discovers a world of mutating plants, landscapes, and creatures, which is caused by an alien presence, that threatens both their lives and their sanity.

# 2, Rougue One.
Rogue One is a 2016 epic space film, directed by Gareth Edwards. It is the first installment of the Star Wars anthology series, and an immediate prequel to Star Wars A New Hope. Set a week before the events of A New Hope, the plot follows Jyn Erso, who joins forces with a spy and a group of resistance rebel fighters, and band together to steal the plans of the Death Star, which is the ultimate weapon of the Galactic Empire. Overall, The movie details the Rebel Alliance's first effective victory against the Empire, and if you are a fan of the star wars series, this is movie you do not want to miss.

# 1, Intersterllar.
Interstellar is a 2014 epic science fiction film, co-written and directed by Christopher Nolan, and it is Set in a dystopian future, where humanity is struggling to survive. When the Earth becomes uninhabitable in the future, a farmer and ex-NASA pilot, Joseph Cooper, is tasked to pilot a spacecraft, along with a team of researchers, to find a new planet for humans. the movie revolves around the group of astronauts, who must travel through a wormhole near Saturn, in search of a new home for mankind.
