Dates of the Examination –

The ICAN Nov 2023 diet professional exams are scheduled to hold from Tuesday 14th, Nov - Thursday 16th, Nov 2023.


Examination Registration –

The registration portal for the Nov 2023 diet exam has been opened since Monday 17th, July 2023 and will close on Friday 10th, Nov 2023.
Please note that there will be no extension in the registration date.

According to Cal Newport, the author of the book DEEP WORK, a Business & Leadership Wall Street Journal Bestseller, he said that Facebook and other social media platforms are designed to be ADDICTIVE, as a result, your time will be fragmented, which can reduce your capacity to concentrate.

• …..You noticed that when you wake up in the morning, you will check your social media first.

• …… Before you go to bed, you check your social media last.

• …… Even when you are in the church, mosque, or even board meetings, you are tempted to check social media.

Cal Newport mentions that Facebook used to hire ‘ATTENTION ENGINEERS’ just to grab our attention and make us stick to Facebook, that is why you see Facebook notifications regularly on your phone and on your email.

Back to ATS exams, you need not allow your attention to be fragmented now, because you need almost full attention and concentration for you to succeed. So, if you are on leave, quit Facebook, quit twitter, quit Instagram etc for now and concentrate 100% on your study. Don’t entertain any form of distraction. After the exams, you can resume social media.
If you are not on leave, do the same; quit Facebook, quit twitter, quit Instagram, quit Snapchat, etc.

Let no other thing ring in your head apart from ATS. Treat your ATTENTION with respect, don’t fragment it.

The first phase of success in an exam is to believe in yourself….. Be Optimistic.
Though you have to study well for SUCCESS to be guaranteed.
Negative thinking is like a giant wall, it can prevent us from accomplishing our goals (exam success).
If you are optimistic and did not study well…….. You are on your own (“oyo”).
But the irony is that,
Even after studying well, you still have to be optimistic to pass your exams.
According to Helen Keller, “Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement”


So, how can you be optimistic for your CITN exams?


• ELIMINATE NEGATIVE THOUGHT

Have you experienced a situation where you are just feeling like
“what if I fail CITN exams”,
especially when the exam date is fast approaching.
It is important to eliminate all negative feelings and thoughts by
replacing them with positive words.
Say to yourself “I know I will PASS this diet”,
“My Success is a must in this diet” “I study both hard and smart to clear my CITN exams”,
“I look forward to a great result”, “I succeed even in stressful situations”
This is known as AFFIRMATION.


Do this AFFIRMATION preferable when you wake up in the morning
and before you go to bed at night.


I did an experiment last diet by placing some CITN students in a group, before then,
These students have been having challenges passing their CITN exams for years.
So while they study hard to pass CITN exam, they also do their Affirmation every morning and at night.

When the result was released, they all passed. One of them asked me
that “Sir which Juju you use” …… I replied that
“Na power of Positive Affirmation oooo , no be juju”

Past exam papers are an essential part of preparing for any exams. They provide a useful resource for preparing for your exams in that, you are able to familiarize yourself with the style, theme, depth and techniques used in the particular exams that you are writing.

It’s well understood in psychology that you are more likely to retain something if you learn it with practice.
Practicing past questions will improve your retention rate and will help you to better understand what you have studied.

Some of the essential benefits of practicing with past exams questions include;

• You will have experience with the pattern of the exam questions, which will make you more familiar with the exam.

• It will give you a good idea of what the examiners are expecting.
Hence, in the exam, you will save a lot of time thinking about how to articulate what you want to say.

To upload their WAEC or NECO O’level result, your child should follow these simple steps:

-Visit a JAMB-accredited CBT centre near them.
-Inform the CBT officer that they want to upload their O’level result.
-Provide a printout of their WAEC or NECO result.
-Verify their details on the computer screen to ensure they are correct.
-Check their JAMB CAPS to view their O’level result.


Your child doesn't need to take their original WAEC or NECO result to the CBT center; the paper printout slip will suffice.

In the heart of every student of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria lies a dream - a dream of triumph, a dream of success. Yet, too often, the harsh reality that we must confront is that many students embark on their ICAN exam preparation journey late. But, let's pause for a moment and explore the untold truth.


It's not a matter of time slipping through their fingers like grains of sand that causes this delay. No, it's something much more profound; it's a battle fought within the soul, a battle between discipline and procrastination.


From June to November is 6 months and from December to May is also 6 months, It means for every diet, you have 6 months to prepare…… It implies that there’s always enough time to prepare for ICAN exam.

You might say, “but I am working” , yes, we are not disputing that, the fact is that, there’s always enough time to prepare whether we are working or not.


We use to have a student who was very busy with work, his life is a full of responsibilities, from his demanding job to family obligations and church activities.
He finds the hidden pockets of time within his busy days, finding time to study during lunch breaks, commuting hours, and even those precious moments before bedtime and sometimes, immediately after work.

Every minute counts, and his steadfast discipline transforms these moments into valuable study sessions. His progress is proof that where there is discipline, time becomes a loyal friend, not an enemy.

During week days, he studied 1 hour before work and 2 hours after work.
Though he works from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays, he still studied for 6 hours after work on Satudays.
He studied for 10 hours on Sundays. He mentioned that he did online service on Sundays for 3 months just to have enough time to study.


It becomes clear that the issue isn't a scarcity of time, but rather the need for discipline. Discipline is what transforms available hours into productive, focused study time. ICAN success is within reach for every student who cultivates the self-control and determination required to harness their time effectively. So, remember: It's discipline, not time, that makes the difference on your path to ICAN exam success.


So, here's the revelation: Late preparation for ICAN exams is not a consequence of time slipping away. It's a consequence of the battle within, a battle that discipline can win. It's about choosing the path of dedication, setting priorities, and holding oneself accountable. It's about understanding that time is a canvas upon which you paint your dreams, and discipline is the brush that brings them to life.
