Thanks for your feedback but you still did not answer the question.

How do you propose that ordinary citizens can "hold" their local government chairman and state governors accountable? I need practical actionable steps
There is no where I ever said it’s a one man. Quote me where I did say that.

By simply understanding who is responsible for what. How many people in their area even know what their local government is responsible for?

How many people even know the office of their local government?

Oh but we all know our worship centers….hmmm

In simply words ***the people*** has to take its government serious.

The people is not same as one man

Not really. Our law is to blame. In some countries, you can't setup church to collects funds and all becomes yours. It has to go into charity. Here government don't even bother to audit churches.
The rich wont fix the law. Those who profit from the system would do everything to ensure the system remain porous, it remain and breeds inequality and allows corruption.

The churches from day one were never tax to fix this. It was the government, they are with the money. They are with the power. If improvement need to happen. The people must take their government serious

How do we hold government accountable if pastors, imams and other religious leaders are discouraging us from doing so?

How do we do that huh
Oh you think they would do otherwise?
You think people who profit from the system would push for the system to be fixed?

Those affected must take the future into their hand if they want any improvement of their situation

How do you hold the government accountable? Tell us in practical terms
You’re aware your local government are the ones responsible for some road and infrastructure in your area?. Are you aware some hospitals, schools, market and bridges in local communities are simply the responsibility of your local government?

Now most of them are never in good condition, who is following up? Who is asking? Why are the people of the community not holding them accountable and asking how their local government allocation and task are spent?

How are churches and pastors helping the people to hold their local, state and federal government officials responsible, whether they are in the legislative or executive branch?

Do pastors, imams and other religious leaders have a responsibility for shaping the moral code of the society ??
Yes they do but holding government accountable will give us better yield

We are by law to pay task and country resources are allocated to them on a monthly basis for the development and security of the state

Let’s hold our government accountable and let’s leave the church and promises of pastors. Most men of God are profiting from the side effects of poverty and the mentality of prosperity in the country

Lagos will ask you to pay local government and seek approval.

They will even ask you not to construct the road, that you should bring the money and work through them.

It’s only on the island that I see community and estates constructing interlock road.

On most part of the mainland, you need approval with better money to even do grading, let alone construct road.
Why should any individual construct road when monthly all state get allowance. Where are all those money? Where did the tax go to?

Everyone must face judgement someday. Like death, nobody will escape it. We will all give account of what we did to one another. By then there will be no room for repentance. Total damnation for eternity. Perpetrators will lament, cry in anguish and gnash their teeths but no one to help them out. The day of judgement will come, it must surely come.
I wish you know better. Israel, USA, Uk are all upfront with violence for violence on anyone who dare to jeopardize their country. The terrorist understand that language and ofcourse very cautious to thread, here we are. okay cool

Survive in what situation? Being chased by the animal? Being thrown into a cage with the animal? If it's the latter no one can survive it but if it's the former only the likes of Usain Bolt stand a chance. $100m can't make you a biblical Samson nor Usain Bolt. I will pass and keep hustling...I will get there some day

Fraud has eaten too deep into the fabrics of our society. This is too bad and a harsh measure needs to be put in place to curtail this unfortunate reality. There's no shortcut to wealth. Go legit and you will be happy you did.
The realities caused by negligence.

“Remove a monkeys hand from the pot of soup before it turns to that of a human.” - African proverbs

Why we tackle the effect let us tackle the real cause. What I mean is there are serious minded individuals in Nigeria today, yet no job.

Secondly social media has whitewashed a lot of this get rich quick without any verifiable source of wealth e.g as a politician, a regular citizen etc

Allocation goes to states monthly, yet lack of visible improvement on state of affairs.

We can do everything but if we don’t cure the sickness. Every other things are side effects

I no blame some of una saying they are pampering criminals, do you even know the number of all the security agencies in Nigeria are less than 1million?

This number is policing over 250million people, do that calculation yourself n see that they are actually trying!

What you should be asking is why are some disgruntled citizens carrying out arms against others who choose civility?

Why do we shield criminals in our communities and villages?
if you don't what to say it's best to keep shut, what is this nonsense you're typing?

You have a foundational problem. The course is not useless. You are the one who used the course to render yourself useless at the moment. Many that studied Political Science are gainfully employed. Even some people that studied Medicine or Nursing are jobless. To show that the problem is with you and not with the course, you said you don't even know where your certificate is.

But there is still hope because you are still alive and very young.
Don’t be one-sided

As much as there are some truth in what you’re saying, it does not invalidate that many employable youths remain unemployed.

That's what happens when Nigerians abuse opportunities. Majority of these local blenders are not local in any way, shape or form. They are generic blenders from Chinese factories that Nigerians rebrand and import into the country. They make you believe they are selling something more personal and unique that those of LG and the likes but that's so not true. It's the same thing oraimo does, and even the almighty buchi whatever.

So you are not paying for premium, you're buying mass produced chinco with branding.
you see the glitch in the matrix system. Nigerians just like to hype rubbish.

Oga go and hustle! Many people complaining about hardship are those who are waiting for government to provide them white collar job. It doesn't work like that, even in the developed nations, most of the working force are non governmental sectors. Start from somewhere and build up from there. Who says a graduate can not farm, engage in car washing, laundry business, commercial driver ( Bike ,Keke napep etc) and so on. There is dignity in labour,go find something productive to do that will put food on your table and stop complaining about the government! This complain has been on since I was a child and it will not stop, no matter what the government does, people would still complain, it is better to change one's mind set to explore the opportunities in the difficulties.
On a general scale, there is no job. Only a few people can get job. Many people around the country can’t and don’t have what it takes to create a job. Government high maintenance is problematic
