People can pray at home, sure, but we still need leaders who’ll back spiritual messages with real solutions and the northern extraction seems dense .

let action come first, I myself would lead prayers in my own household and fellowship unit.

Reopening the church immediately after the bandit attack doesn’t make much sense without proper security measures. Faith is important, but protecting the lives of members is even more important.

you know this is a community church. It’s a stone throw from most attendees house. So not going to church for security reason is synonymous to running away from you house as well. The bigger picture here is they are living in an unsafe space where their days are numbered. They have no where to run to.

So it’s better we address the main issue

Honestly, issues like this always come down to perspective. Some people see nationwide prayers as a meaningful step, others feel it doesn’t address the root problems. Both sides have a point.

But instead of attacking each other, it’d be better if everyone focused on the actual issues — insecurity, economy, governance — while still allowing people to practice their faith the way they choose. Nothing stops prayer and practical action from happening at the same time.

The problem is zero response or lack of mobilization. In the Kebbi case, there was intelligence report. The governor failed to act on it. The pattern has always been the same.

How come not a single terrorist or sponsor has ever been sentenced to death and actually hanged?

I think the security approach needs to be holistic. Our police need to be properly equipped. Local authorities need to do local security and these people can act as buffers until reinforcement arrives.

State governors need to sit down in their states and coordinate security efforts. They need to stop purchasing cars for traditional rulers and Hajj subsidies. They must secure their citizens. All forests must be patrolled 24 hours and the spate of attacks would reduce.

Also, don't we have the technology to track communication among these people? We should start intercepting them when they are going on attacks and flush them out.

Security is not hard. These people don't just want to get it done.

Only drone technology cannot solve Nigerian security challenges, Firstly,we must cleanse and purge our security forces of saboteurs. Secondly, we must know how to classify information in this country.Information can be matter of life and death if we dont know what is classified and unclassified information. What i have discovered in this country is that our politicians, security agencies, ( Police, Army, Navy etc, dont know what should be classified and unclassified hereby undermining security efforts . Even in the Iraqi invasion, american troops died in huge numbers , the issue is even with technology you cant understand a terrain more than the locals. A lot of american casualties came from landmines and boobytraps.especially during the initial phases of the assault. You wont hear it on media too much.Because of it is classified, but American families knew the sacrifices they made and huge losses they had.
