The day crept fast and Susan soon visited saint Theresas hospital,Owerri. She was welcomed by Rose who took her to eEdwins room. She was just about to conclude advising the young man
"And please there,try and stay away from police trouble. Police is your friend,only if you want them too"
"Thank you ma"
"Alright. I should be on my way now. Good day. Rose?" She called before walking out while Rose followed. She wished that Rose hadn't ended up with a ruffian such as Edwin. What did her child even see I him?
They arrived at the gate. Rose broke the silence that had been between them
"Thanks so much for visiting mum"
"You are welcome. By the wat,I have something for you''she dipped her hand inside her classic bag and brought out a check.
"That's one million. Use it to take care of yourselves ok?"
Rose took the cheque excitedly and the her arms around her mum,accompanying it with kisses.
"Thanks mum"
"Anything for you dear but please,try your best and come home. I'm really missing you sa lot. Heck,your dad is even missing you even though he doesn't show it"
"Really?"she asked sarcastically
"Yes,really"
"ill think about it. Bye"they pecked each other before Susan took her leave

"you can't be serious"she continued after recovering from the shock
"Unfortunately,I am. I tried to warn him against it but he wouldn't listen. He was hell bent on teaching you a lesson"Susan said
"O my God,so what do I do now?"
"What's the matter?"
"Edwin got attacked by some cops. And I need to pay two hundred and fifty thousand naira as hospital bill,or he won't be discharged"she replied in a croaked voice
"O dear. You know what,text me the address tonight. I'll be there first thing tomorrow morning ok?"
"Alright mom,see you then"she sniffed before cutting the call. She then turned to Amos
"Can you believe that my fa..that man,froze all my accounts?"
Amos widened his eyes"really,why na?"
"Ask me again oooo. But don't worry,he'll see me in action one day. Nonesense"she hissed before walking ahead to the hospital.

She excused herself and followed Amos out while Edwin wondered why Amos didn't look so excited to see him.
"Yeah,Amos,what is it?"she asked,shutting the door.
"The bill,Rose'' he replied handing her a piece of paper. It was a receipt. She raised her brows at what she saw
"Jesus and Mary,250,000 naira?for what kwanu?"she asked
"You don see am so,what do we do now?"
She sighed as she picked up her purple purse from her green bum short pocket. She opened it and smiled a little
"My ATM card is here,thank God. I will have to go to the nearby machine to see if I can get some cash"
"Let me follow you?"
"No,stay here with Edwin"
"No,I insist. It will be unsafe if I just allow a lady like you to go to ATM alone by this time of the night"
She sighed"fine"
She walked into the room to check on Edwin before coming out again after sometime.
"Let's go"she said and they both set off.
They both walked to the isolated Union Bank machine that towered a stone throw away from the hospital. She slotted in her first bank card while Amos stood some steps away. After some seconds of dialing,the machine rejected her card. She became confused. She tried and tried again but it kept vomiting it out
"Ah ah?"she said checking the card
"What's wrong?"Amos asked
"The machine keeps rejecting my card"
"Maybe it's network problem"
"I don't think so. It keeps rejecting it and keeps writing for me one foreign language that I don't know whether it's French or heavenly tongue"
Amos chuckled"are you sure?"
"Wait oo"she walked down and punched her phone for some seconds before placing it on her ear. It rang and then the caller picked
"Hello?"she asked in a dull voice while Rose guess she just woke up from sleep
"Hello mum?I just wanna ask. Why can't I withdraw money from my account?"
"O,that might be because your dad froze all your accounts"Susan replied
''What?!!"

"What happened Rose,why am I here?"
"Well I suppose you wouldn't remember. You were attacked by some policemen. You were beaten to a pulp. Amos and some guys brought you here,then he called me on phone"she said sitting down on a green plastic chair
"Oh"he remembered
"But this is all your fault,you know"
"Excuse me?"
"Amos said that you refused to give them your phone. If you had just complied with them,none of this would have happened. You are just too sturbon"
"Abeg don't disturb me. Am I not a man again?how can I just stand by and watch some hudloums dressed in uniform go through my phone?"
"Well congrats,your manliness almost had you killed. Imagine you were out for two weeks straight!"
He raised his brows"you're kidding,right?"
"Nope,as true as hell."
"O shit!"he shrieked slightly
"Don't stress yourself shit master."she paused a while then burst into an uncontrollable round of laughter
Edwin narrowed his eyes"you think this is funny?"
"N..no,I'm so..I'm sorry,but you should have seen your face when you were newly admitted here. You looked like disfigured shit,like a punctured Tyre,I swear!"she said in between laughter.
"Thanks for your consolation my dear girlfriend"he said sarcastically.
"I'm sorry"she held him by the hand"but please,don't scare me like that again"she said,pleadingly. He looked at her and smiled. Then Amos walked in with a worried look on his face
"I need to see you,Rose"

Episode 4
He opened his eyes slowly. At first,everything was blurry so he couldn't recognize the bodylicious,beautiful dark skinned beauty with ebony long black hair that stood staring at him. He closed his eyes and opened them and then,he could see her clearly
"R...Rose?"he starmered and shrieked in pain.
"Edwin!!,please don't stress yourself. Hold on right here"she ran out of the room.
He looked around the room. It smelt of disinfectant and an unpleasant smelling air freshener. He picked up,in pain,Roses Apple phone on the shelf near him. He had a white bandage around his head. His face was all red and bruised. He was weak all over. It was then he realized that he was in a hospital. But how? As if answering his questions,Rose and another short,pot bellied man dressed in black and white coat. He guessed he was a doctor. The man placed the seteschope on his chest while listening to his heart beat and feeling his pulse. He nodded
"Well ma'am,It seems the patient is slowly recovering. He will soon be well,perhaps in a couple of days,although he might have difficulty remembering some things temporarily. Excuse me"he commented before walking out while Rose thanked him. She turned back and saw Edwin with a confused look on his face.

She ran into the house in fury and curled herself up in the worn out sofa. Beatrice walked up to her and sat by her side
"What do you mean?"she asked,after recovering from the initial shock
"You are the cause of all this mess."she said while raising her head up and revealing a pair of tear filled eyes
"If you had vehemently refused to marry that monster,I wouldn't have been in this mess"
"Mind your words,Ngozi. He is still your father,nevertheless"
"No,my real father died ten years ago,after being bitten by a snake while struggling. This is just his evil younger brother,who you are 15 years older than."
Beatrice stared for a while,then responded
"But you know of all people should know why I did it. I did it so we could survive. You cannot deny that he still sheltered us."
"At what cost,our lives?"
"Please stop reminding me of my woes Ngozi. If Ike hadn't died prematurely,I would never have agreed to do such. Just bear with me"she said admist tears"o,Ike,how I miss you. I do regret my marriage to Obinna,I swear. I should have been stronger and fought those wicked traditions harder. Please learn from my mistakes. Every woman should be strong"
Ngozi pitted her and hugged her
"It's alright mum,I'm so,so sorry"she said,resting on her mom's shoulder

Beatrice was coming home from the ever busy Ahiaeke market. It was a market day,so she was very tired by the time she came back that evening. She had gone some distance close to the house when she heard screams and loud cries. She didn't guess twice. She ran towards the seen and crumpled her face at the sight. She rushed at them and pulled weeping Ngozi away from the cruel beast.
"Obinna,what is the meaning of this?what has your daughter done this time,ehnh?"she asked,blocking Ngozi
"That daughter of YOURS is nothing but a fool. A mere simpleton. Imagine the prince came to see her,and she chased him away like a fowl!!"
Beatrice was shocked inside but she held it
"Ehenh,and so?is that why you want to kill her?"
"Idiot,foolish woman. Of course you'll defend your daughters stupidity. That's why I am not progressing!!!"he cried,spreading five fingers at her. He charged at her and gifted her a heavy knock before Ngozi intervened.
"That's enough Papa!!for God's sake,we are your family. Why can't you show us some respect!!"
"Respecti gbu kwa gi there,oluku(respect kill you there)don't worry,I'll be back. Then you'll show me who should respect and who should be respected,idiots!!"he cursed while walking out.
He had gone out of earshot when Beatrice soaked in tears faced her bruised daughter
"A.."she sniffed"are you okay,dear?"
She didn't respond. Then the bubble burst
"This,is all YOUR fault!!!"

"is this not prince Uchenna?Ngozi,what is he doing here?"He asked wide eyed
Ngozi panicked deep within her. She turned to the unwanted guest
"You can leave now. I don't need you here"
"B...."Uche was soon cut short
"Leave!"she ordered. Uche saw pleading in her eyes. He sighed before walking to the waiting car. It soon moved away.
Obinna had been looking at the whole drama. He soon got pissed off
"What was the meaning of that?that was a royal guest. And you chased him away..in my presence!you disgraced me!!"he cried. He soon landed a slap on my face
"Papa,please stop!!"she cried
"Idiot,onye nzuzu(foolish person)"he cursed as he landed her several blows.

"stupid idiot parading himself as a princely hero. Who does he think he is?"she mumbled as she arrived at the front of her compund dropping her bucket. She climbed a step and opened the door to the house when she turned back and saw the van approaching her compund. She slammed the door. Soon,he stepped out of the car and walked up to him
"What do you want?are you seriously stalking me?"she said trying to match his height
"That isn't really a way to show gratitude,you know."
"I should say thank you for looking at my unclothedness at the river like a pervert?ok,thank you"
"You...look,I'm really sorry. It wasn't my intention to stare. I was just.."
"Save your explanations to yourself and leave"
"Please,let me explain"
Suddenly,she noticed Obinna staggering from behind singing a folk song. He paused and looked at the two
"Who is this?"he asked

"we are fine my prince"Amaka winked before bowing and standing up again
"What about you?"he asked Ngozi concerndly.
She frowned"I'm perfectly alright!"she shot before picking her bucket and stomping away.
Amaka widened her eyes
"Excuse me,sir"she said before going after her friend
"Ngo,what do you think you are doing?"that's no way to appreciate a PRINCE who just saved your life
"Prince bukwa one gi there,Idiot!(prince will kill you there)"
Amaka crumpled her face in shock. Ngozi sped after her as her friend clapped her hands
Uchenna,at that point,knew she knew. He sighed before Ude came up to him
"There goes your mermaid,sorry man"he patted his shoulder. Uchenna frowned
"No,I am not giving up. I need to see her and apologise to her"he declared. Ude raised a brow
"Seriously?"he asked
"Go after that girl Ude,and try to be stealthy"he ordered walking back to the hilux van".
Ude just stared in despair.

The car screeched to a halt. Uchenna threw the door open before zooming to the dusty scene. He threw Onyema down after landing a thunderous punch on his face before fighting of the other two thugs.
"What the bleep is going on here?who the hell are you?"he asked Onyema who slowly stood up and cleaned his lower lip. He widened his eyebrows at Uchenna
"P...prince Uchenna,what are you doing here?"he asked
"Saving this ladies from fools like you"he said. Ngozi widened her eyes"I know that voice...and the skin"she thought
"Now listen you bloody idiots,I never wanna see your bleeping faces around here again,or you'll regret it,ok?"he spat. Then it came to her. She gasped.
"Now scram!!!"he ordered. Onyema and his cohordes took to their heels. Uchenna spat before facing the girls
"Are you alright?"he asked

"Ngo baby,how are you doing na?long time" He said to Ngozi,revealing his stained,disarranged set of teeth. His breath stank of alcohol
"I'm fine,Onyema,now let us pass."Ngo said and tried to cross,but he blocked her
"No rush na,let's catch up"
"Onyema,can't you see the load we are carrying on our heads?why not let us be?"Amaka bellowed
"Look at this ugly mucheche ooo,who is talking to you kwanu?"he blasted before hissing and facing Ngozi again. Before he could speak however,his body was splashed with water
"It is you that is ugly,idiotic fool"Amaka said,dropping her blue bucket. Onyema wiped his face and grinned at his gang,a little. He had fire in his eyes as he charged for the girls. Down went Ngozi's paint bucket as the fight began. Passers by didn't bother to help separate as none wanted Onyema's trouble. Some shook their heads,some laughed while some video cameras were activated.
Uchenna looked outside the window when Nne suddenly groaned near him
"Where exactly are we going btother?"she asked
"I told you I wasn't going anywhere but you insisted on following me. So keep quiet"
She mumbled. Soon,the car slowed down at the battle field
"Uhhh,Uche,does that by any chance match your description"Ude asked.
Uchenna watched closer and raised his brows.
"Stop the car"he said
"What?"
"I said stop the bleeping car!!!"

Amaka,Ngozi's short,chocolate complexioned,plain looking but busty friend burst into another round of laughter as Ngozi told her her experience in the river,yesterday. They had been coming back from the same river with heavy buckets on their head.
"I tell you what happened to me ,but you just laugh"Ngozi said
"I just can't help it,it's so funny. I wonder who this lucky guy was that saw a whole NGOZI OKONKWO unclad."she said wiping the tear drop on her left eye
"Hold on,you consider him lucky?"Ngozi asked,raising her brows
"Yes now,it isn't easy you know."she laughed again
"You are mad, honestly"
"Are you sure it wasn't Onyema?"Amaka asked,referring to the village pervert and trouble maker.
"No,it wasn't. This particular lad was fair. And I swear,if I see him,I would recognize him and pluck out his eyes,even if it's Onyema."
"Speaking of the devil"Amaka said referring to the tall,muscular,ugly,dreadlocked fellow who was approaching two of them with his gang of three.

"And God,her curves were something else"said Uchenna reminiscing his river experience to Ude who just listened and sipped the glass of palm wine in front of him.
"And have I mentioned the size of her boobs?"Uche inquired
"Yes,Uchenna. And every other thing you have just told me about this girl this past few minutes"
"They're like watermelons!"he cried. Ude just rolled his eyes
"I must see her again!"he declared standing up from his green bed to dress up
"Wait ooo.,are you sure this girl isn't a mammy water?"
"Let it be. I'd rather have assurance that she's a mermaid than staying all they bemusing about her"he said pouring some white powder on his fair,handsome face"well,are you coming?"he asked heading for the door. Ude just shook his head as he dropped the glass and began accompanying his friend.
They had gone downstairs when they saw his fair skinned,angelic faced mother and look alike 12 year old daughter in the living room watching an Africa magic movie on their plasma tv. Erinma,the queen,heard steps and turned back
"O son,are you going out?"she asked
"I just wanna take a stroll with Ude"
"Can I come with you?"asked Nneoma,his baby sister in her soft voice"pleeeaasse"
"I don't know,Nne,I'm not going any where significant"he replied
"Please take her,she won't let me watch this movie in peace"Erinma intervened but Uche raised his brows at his mother who just smirked in response.
"Fine,you can come with me"he said,defeatedly. Nne shrieked and rushed to accompany her vrother.
"Be careful ooo"instructed Erinma as the door closed.

He tried to resist but that was fools play. He could feel his head being pounded by the weapons the men held. He soon fell on the floor, his sight fading away. He could hear the sound of people,coming to seperate them."

Ronaldo increased his pace as more players continued to dive on him in order to take the ball. He dribbled them all like a god and headed for the Barcelona goal post in great speed when Messi came out of no where and brushed the ball past his greatest rival. Like Mercury,he ran towards the Juventus goal post dodging every dick and harry that came to oppose him.
Edwin watched,sweat almost touching his eyes. "He won't.."He thought as Messi got closer to the post. He closed his eyes,prepared for anything when screams of GOAL pierced his ears. He didn't bother to look at the TV set. He joined in the jubilation at the same time hugging his average highted, slim dark and plain looking friend,Amos. Not every man was happy though. "Clean goal,clean goal"they heard from all corners.
Soon,the ninety minute match elapsed with a draw from both teams. Some began to retire to their homes while others stayed back at the restaurant to make merry and argue the outcome of the match.
Edwin and Amos had gone some distance,chit-chatting about the match when Amos suddenly took a glance at his watch
"Shoot,I'm late. After 9."
"Why are you panicking. Do you have a waiting wife at home"Edwin asked
"You're crazy. And besides,between the both of us,you are the one who has a waiting wife at home"he grinned.
"Rose is only staying temporarily,until she settles with her parents. And besides,I'm enjoying her stay,if not for anything,at least for the savouring nights"he grinned back. They both laughed.
"Let it not be that you are using that girl as a sex machine though. She really likes you,you better not hurt her"Amos said with a serious tone
"Oh don't worry,I like her too"he said. Amos noticed the unseriousness in his friends voice and shook his head. Edwin was such a womanising jerk,he thought.
They kept quiet for sometime. When they were about to cross,some men,dressed in black with a bullet proof over their shirts and a black face cap. They had their guns with them,tight fisted. One was fat while the other was muscular but they were both so dark,that their faces couldn't be seen. They stood by a closed kiosk.
"Heysss,both of you,come here"said the fat one. The two guys quickly approached them"good evening officers"they greeted.
"Where are you both coming from?"He asked ignoring their greetings
"Were coming from a mama put over there. Why,I'm sure you know about the much anticipated match between Barcelona and Juventus."Edwin said,barely preventing wriggling his nose from the stentch of cigarette and alcohol being oozing out from the officer.
"Who has time. Officer,search them"he commanded the other officer. He quickly obeyed and searched both Edwin and Amos.
"Nothing"he reported.
But the former wasn't satisfied. He scanned Edwin,lookiking for something that would implicate him. Finally he said
"Is that your phone?"

Ngozi bit her finger in anger and regret. She couldn't believe that she was careless enough to let a "stupid pervert"see her unclad. She wished she had patience enough and bathed in the comfort of her zinc built bathroom. "Onye ara"she muttered before picking her bucket and setting off.
Uchenna rushed out of the bush path like someone being chased for his life. He was sweating and panting like an easter rat.
"My prince,what's wrong?"Ude asked
He looked up at him and shook his head"nothing"
Ude narrowed his eyes at him and looked at him from head to toe.
"Then why is your face all red and your banana dangling like a rope?"
Uchenna looked down before frowning at Ude
"Don't just stand there asking me stupid questions. Let's bail"he said walking to the car.
"Shall you not wash yourself in the river again?"Ude asked
"Bleep the river"he said slamming the car door. Ude smirked.

Uchenna fixed his gaze on the maiden that spalshed her self with the cool water. And God,was she a damsel. She hard curves that could kill any man she came across. Her skin was as dark as ebony yet shone like the sun. For now,he could only see her busty back side,feeling aroused at the same time
Ngozi continued splashing the water on her body when she suddenly had a feeling that someone was watching her. She quickly turned behind and beholded a fair,good looking fellow with a green cap on his head behind the bushes. She shrieked and made for her wrapper.
"Who is that idiot looking at his mother,eh!?"s
He didn't waste time staring at her lush eyes. He began to run
"Sorry!"he cried
"Thunder fire you,idiot"Ngozi bellowed.

"Why?"Asked Udenna with a raised eyebrow
"Cuz I wanna use it"he said,holding his stomach
"Use what?"
"Must I say it out?fine,I wanna poo. Does that sound better?"
"but where will you do it?"Ude asked,shocked
"In the bush of course,it ain't my fault that you guys don't have public toilets around your community"
"That's ridiculous!you are the chosen prince of this kingdom!"
"So?"
"So,you can't just excrete anywhere you like!"
"Abeg give me tissue. You will tell me if a prince isn't also a human being"
Udenna pinched the bridge of his nose and asked the shorter guard if they had any tissue in the car. Fortunately,they did. The guard fixed in half of his body in the front seat before popping out with a roll of fairly used tissue paper.
"Give me the whole role"Uchenna said and the threw it to him. He caught it and made for the bush path by the right side of the car
"Hurry oo!"yelled Ude as he walked further into the bush.
He finally found a good spot and made to pull down his trousers when he started to hear a melodious female voice from a distance,singing. He got so bemused by the voice that the urge to answer natures call,disappeared. Like someone hypnotised,he made his way to the source of the voice,the sound of water rushes increasing as he did. He eventually got to another part of the river and found the singer. But there was another thing.














She was stark naked and bathing in the river...

Episode 2
Prince Uchenna had smiles all over his face as he stared outside the car window. He admired the beautiful scenery of the great Ngalaba kingdom which was known all over Imo state for its large population,mineral resources and tourists attractions. A lot had changed since he was last here at age 17 before he left for the states to study petrochemical engineering. Ngalaba had been given a great face lift. He couldn't believe that all these would be his someday. His thoughts suddenly drifted to his grand return home. He returned Saturday,had his excellent homecoming party on Sunday. Today was Monday and his father had insisted on him taking a tour of the village. Suddenly,his driver made a turn at a bend which lead to the great Uli river.
"My Prince,we have arrived"said Udenna his dark,handsome,muscular but short personal body guard as the car came to the halt. Uchenna nodded his head. Soon,two other body guards sitting at the far back seat jogged out of the car. They were dressed in a yellow traditional vest with a pair of yellow shorts to match and a red Ibo cap. The taller of the guards opened prince Uchenna's door and he walked out majestically. He stretched his arms a little before asking
"Why do we even have to come to this river Udenna?"
"One,because your dad said so. Two,it is believed that anyone who washes his hands,face and feet with the water will be blessed"
"And how many times have you washed your hands and feet. Common Ude,that's just plain superstition"he said in his American accent
"Whatever. I am blessed in my own way"Ude said and turned away from him. Uchenna didn't mind Udenna being so casual. He was one of his best friends since he arrived any ways. He laughed before keeping a straight face immediately.
"Ok,but do you perhaps have some tissue paper with you?"He asked,sweat faced.

Susan threw the door open only to see her recklessly squeezing some clothes in her purple travelling bag. It seemed her room was purpulized. Even the ceiling fan was painted purple. The room also had large pictures of half naked male and female celebrities and an extra large picture of a purple rose in the middle of the room.
"What are you doing?"Asked Susan?
"Can't you see?I'm leaving this house"she replied still forcing clothes in her bag
"You can't do that! Where will you even go?"
"None of your freaking business"she asked zipping the bag "excuse me"she said as she flung the bag over her shoulder and stormed out
"Rose,please"Susan cried pursing her daughter.
George sat crossed leg,hands akimbo on the fancy green sofa in the living room when he saw Rose stomping down the stairs
"And where do you think you are going?"He asked as she approached the door
"Ask Bobrisky,nonsense"she yelled as she flung open the door
"Ok,but don't even think of coming back to this house!"
"Like I care,carry your bleeping house and go!!"She yelled from outside.
Susan froze as she watched her daughter cross the gate. She scoffed before turning inside and facing her husband
"Look at what you caused!are you happy now,such a temper George will be your downfall"
"You are very stupid for telling me that. Did you not see the way she talked to me?"
"That was because of your rashness!"
"Go on,keep defending her,you are the real reason whe she's such a deviant."He said as he walked upstairs. Susan opened her mouth in shock.
"So you are saying that I spoilt her,what about you?"
He turned his head towards her and said
"At least,I have regrets"he continued walking.

Iniobong called George and Susan and they hurried home with a few policemen. There was worry apparently written all over their faces. "Where is she Ini?"George asked as he walked in with Susan and their police escorts. "Rose!!!"Ini called and soon Rose was seen walking downstairs. She rolled her eyes at the sight of her parents. Susan ran towards her and locked her in a warm embrace,tears rushing out. "Stop being so dramatic mom"Rose said as she softly attend her on the back"why is everyone acting like I died?"She asked. "Because we thought you had! What were you thinking spending the whole night outside until this time?"George asked"are you mad?" "Look,I'm sorry dad. I just wanted to hang out!" "Without my consent?"He asked again "must you know everything about me?aren't I old enough to carter for myself!"She cried but was replied with a slap from George. "George!"Susan cried "when you talk to me,you talk with respect" he scolded. Rose stared at hime before finally uttering "BLEEP YOU". She stormed out and left the entire spectators in shock,except George. He wasn't really surprised that Rose was so defiant. It was due to him spoiling her. He regretted his life.

Rose arrived home some hours to noon. She knocked on the extra large gate of her estate located house when it was thrown open by a dark tribal marked hausa man who was their gate man"ah!Madam Rose,wey you dey since?"He asked in his typical hausa accent"are you gonna just stand there asking me silly questions,or are you gonna let me in?"She asked codescendingly. "No vex oo"he gave way for her to walk in. She looked around and noticed the place was too quiet"are my parents out?"She asked"yes,since, small madam.
