Episode 2 continues
I got home that night and soaked my bed with tears. I just felt so embarrassed and angry. After crying for sometime,I picked up Joshua's picture from my drawer. I stared at it and soon yelled"damn you Joshua!this is all your fault!!!"I threw the picture to the wall and it smashed into pieces. Some seconds later,Nelly rushed inside"mommy!!are you ok?"When she saw her fathers picture smashed on the ground,she came up to me and held me on my arm"mommy,its ok. Even though my father isn't here,you are still more than enough for me and I'm so proud of you. I love you mommy" I looked at her tear eyed and hugged her tightly. She hugged me back. She ended up sleeping with me in my room that night,but I enjoyed every minute w

Episode 2 continues
I was surprised when I saw Chika there. I didn't even know that her daughter was going to that school. I could smell trouble."Chika!thank God you are here"I said trying to keep my calm"I would like you to ask your daredevil daughter why she should tell Nelly that she doesn't have a father""why should I ask her that?isn't she saying the truth?"Chika said and walked closer to me"hey!Chika,so this is what you have been doing since abi?gossiping with your daughter about my personal life?its a shameful thing!""Don't you insult me!"Chika said while trying to match her height with mine. She was very short. We began a heated exchange of words as people gathered around to watch the WWE divas fight. She soon grabbed my neck and forced me down. She beat me like a child as I,being sophisticated and not used to fighting,just struggled on. It was as if she was using this opportunity to vent out her anger and hatred on me. We were soon separated by some men."And next time"Chika warned"don't you dare approach my daughter"she said,hissed,grabbed her daughter and stormed out. I was horrified and embarrassed. I didn't need a soothsayer to tell me my journey with that school was over

I froze at this point. It felt as if cold water had been poured into my feet and that a hammer had hit my head. I looked left,squatted and asked"why are you asking such a question darling?""Because I got into a fight with my classmate because she said I didn't have a dad"I stood up angrily and asked"who is the insolent baboon that would dare say such a thing"Nelly took my hand and led me to her classmate at the waiting room obviously gossiping with other girls. Nelly pointed her to me and I called"hey you!come here noww!"I cried and she obediently walked towards me. I grabbed her ear and began pulling"how dare you talk to my daughter in such a manner? are you mad!"I continued pulling her ear as she yelled and a teacher quickly rushed in"madam?what is the matter?"She asked and pulled the young girl out of my grasp"good thing you are here!I want you to ask that insolent brat what gave her the right to assault my daughter both physically and verbally"she was just about to talk when I heard from behind me,a harsh but familiar voice"and what gives you the right to hurt my daughter?"I slowly turned back and saw one of my greatest enemies. It was Chika!

Episode 2
Nelly and I arrived at the hotel the next afternoon. We had a splendid time and I really enjoyed myself with the guys and Naomi too. Nelly and Francis also became very good friends.
On Monday,I decided to pick Nelly up from school since work closed early that day and its been a really long time. I alighted from the car and saw Nelly approaching,and instead of her to be excited at the fact that her mother was finally going to pick her up,she was the complete opposite. She came close to me and I made to hug her but she gently pushed me away. I became annoyed at this point,the brat had a very rude and spoilt attitude,which was all my fault."What is it?"I asked,no response"were you beaten by a teacher?"She shook her head"did you fail a test?"She said no"so what is it?!"I asked visibly irritated"why don't I have a father?"She asked

Episode one continues
It was a hot Thursday afternoon. I decided to stop by a restaurant before continuing my trip to the foreign investors house. I ordered for a cold drink,paid for it and began sipping away.
As I was enjoying my cold juice,I heard a warm and manly"hello"from behind me. I turned back and saw a tall,muscular and very handsome dark man. He looked so perfect and like any woman's dream man."Hi"I replied"may I join you?" he asked politely"sure"I said not looking moved(even though I was)"my name is Joshua but my friends call me Josh,and yours?""Anna Marie"I replied"a beautiful name for a very beautiful lady. I would love to know more about you,may I have your number?"His voice sounded so charming and irresistible and so I had no choice but to call it out"great!I will call you this night so be expecting my call"I nodded"I have to go now as my friends are waiting for me"he said pointing to a bunch of guys at a table. He waved me goodbye and left.
Later that night,he called me and we began a long conversation. He was just about to ask me to tell him about myself when he complained of insufficient credit and asked me out and I agreed. He picked me up the next day and took me to the same restaurant where we met.
After our first date,Joshua swept me off my feet. I fell madly in love with him,and after a month of courting,we became boyfriend and girlfriend. During that period,it was always"Anna baby give me
this,Anna baby give me that. It was the same guy that told me he worked in an oil company. Anyways,I had already fallen madly in love with him and gave him all he wanted,ignoring the fact that he was poor and uneducated.
When I introduced him to my parents,they went against it and warned me to end it but I refused. My father disowned me and I eloped with him to England were we secretly got married.
After our marriage,we returned home to Lagos and moved to the house that I purchased in Lekki. Nine months later,we had our first daughter whom we called Nelly.
After Nelly was born,I noticed that Josh had become very cold towards me. We were no longer the same happy couple that we used to be. We no longer slept with each other and he even moved to another room and when I asked him about it,he said I snored too much. I also suspected that he was cheating on me but turned a blind eye.
One year after our marriage,Joshua Olayinka,ran away with another girl to the United States Of America stealing the sum of ten million naira(my entire life savings)I was shocked and devastated. I was taken back in by my father and my baby and I moved to his house. I was depressed for many days and even tried suicide at some point but it was God that saved me. The pain of losing the only man I loved and who I gave up everything for was just too much to bear.
That was 10 years ago. I am now very successful and happy with myself and my daughter

Before I continue with the story,I would like to tell you about myself. My name is Anna Marie Okoro. I was born into a rich family as an only daughter. After my secondary education,I attended one of the best universities in the U.S. I came back home with a masters degree in business administration after 7 years. My father got me a job at Exco group of companies,one of the biggest business enterprises involved in oil and gas. After hard work promotions upon promotions,I became the special assistant to the managing director with a mind blowing salary and other benefits. So I've always been rich. As for marriage,well I wasn't really that lucky. Here is how the story goes...

Episode one
I raised my phone up and took another selfie. That's all I've been doing all through out the company's award/employee recognition dinner. I guess I was so used to the annual dinner that I was now bored of it.
After some time of waiting,Mr Godfrey,our boss,stepped up the podium to announce the employee of the year. After a long speech which I wasn't really paying attention to,he called"And the award of this year is.."There was silence"miss Anna Marie Okoro!"There was a huge round of applause.I could hear boo's from corners but I just wore a huge smile and stepped out to collect my reward.
After the event was concluded,I and my friend Naomi headed for my car. On our way,I was congratulated by most of the employees. It was only Chika,probably my worst enemy at work that hissed when she saw me. Naomi and I just laughed at her. She was jealous that I had once again won the award that I had been bagging in five years despite her efforts.
We almost got to the car when Francis and some other male employees at work approached us."Hey Anna Marie,congratulations on another employee of the year award"he said beaming with smiles"thank you"I replied"Tony and I were just thinking of throwing a party tomorrow afternoon at Hotel de laurel in your honor,it will be simple and fun,do you agree?"I kept mute for a while"I really don...""We'll be there"Naomi interrupted and I tapped her hand. Naomi always had a knack for getting me into what I didn't want too"great!I'll be expecting you by twelve o clock tomorrow afternoon. See ya"Francis said and walked out with his friends. Immediately they left I turned to Naomi"Naaoommi""what?"She asked"I promised Nelly that I would take her shopping tomorrow. I really haven't had time for her and I want to use this opportunity to do some bonding"I said"well take her to the party. I'm sure she would love it,stop complaining,gosh"Naomi said and got into the car. I sighed and shook my head at my best friend and got into the car with her. We drove off
