Okay... I know someone is probably saying, what BS has she come to say this time. I take no offense, really. Truth is I'm actually not too pleased with myself at the moment, a lot has been happening and I've not really been in the right frame of mind to pen something down. I someone had told me that things would have turned out this way this week, I probably wouldn't have believed... *smiles* I'm actually fine but it's just a complicated ish, school accommodation, search for IT placement. Exams ended last week, on the 18th. It should have ended on he 17th though but it was postponed. I'm truly tired of making excuses, this isn't me. *sighs* I'm so wishing I could complete the story today and all, and possibly start the many more that have been ringing in my head for months. But it's not as easy as it sounds. I'm grateful to y'all that have stood by me even though I've been you know... Thank you... MJ45 thanks, what you said kinda gave me hope. To those who wished me a happy birthday, lanicky, cheriepet, logodwhiz and so many others on various threads and platforms. God bless you all. iamayodeji welcome back dammygoody, walewunmi, vonn, nationalnwa, richlizzy, spring004, lilmizzy, toykathy, et al. Sorry it's really my weakness to list names, thank you for not abandoning this thread, even though it looks like I did. Thanks everyone |
Hmmm... Fake dimple I guess, simply on d right cheek and it's seasonal ![]() |
*sighs* *covers face and gets on her knees* Hi... I don't think I can do this... *sighs again* I can't do this... I'll be back... |
I'm trying to transfer the lost data while merging the chapters, for instance that's chapter 26 in one part and not two parts like it was. But to be frank, I'm tired, copying and pasting while eventually taking time to space on my phone is taking time and I have an exam tomorrow. Not trying to make excuses, but I promise that this thread will come back to life like it was... Just give time, thanks y'all... |
-26- *come to amphitheatre, I’ll be there in 5mins. He closed the text and picked his wallet, he had been in touch with her but had intentionally avoided bringing up the issue. He was glad she was making the move herself. “Where to?” he faced his roommate who was fanning himself with a sports newspaper, “I’ll be back soon,” Ore replied. “Obviously we know you’ll be back soon, the question is where are you off to?” Bashiru one of his coursemates who was not a legal occupant of the room but had been squatting with them ever since they moved in stated. “I’m going somewhere, make una free me now, besides I don’t have much time.” he said and made to leave the room when the door opened. Yemi, Uzor and Coded entered the room, he greeted them hastily and left the room. He did not have the luxury to sit and listen to another series of lecture of how he was acting crazy for a girl who friend zoned him. Even though he knew things were not as he would have loved. He feared what the outcome of his meeting with Dami would be, he would rather prefer that she friend zoned him instead of her admitting to be gay. “Wetin dey do am?” he overheard Coded asking his roommates. He did not hear the reply provided but he heard their laughter. Obviously they had resorted to making mockery of him, what else did he expect from them? —————- Sitting in his apartment all day was tiring, he saw a handbill someone had given to him the previous day on the table. He picked it and read it again, attending the relationship seminar was not a bad idea, was it? First it had been Bimpe, the girl who had made him appear like a weakling and then when he had summoned courage to move on by approaching Sandra, he had failed again since she was taken. He thought about Princess, personally he saw nothing wrong with dating a girl from another tribe. He just did not understand why people still took inter-tribal marriages as a big deal, but the fear of being rejected was the stumbling block on his way. He took the handbill and walked out of his flat, after ascending the stairs he realised he did not know his neighbours flat. The two different doors confused him, what if he knocked on a particular door and somebody else replied him? He decided to knock the door by his right, after knocking for about three consecutive times without getting any response. He turned towards the other door and knocked, he raised his hands to knock the second time when he saw the door bell. He pressed it and almost rather quickly the door opened revealing Chuks with a sleepy look on his face. He sighed, happy that the occupants of the previous flat were not around or had chosen not to answer him. “Sorry Chuks, seems I woke you up.” he smiled at Chuks. Chuks shook his head and opened the door giving him the chance to come inside. “So you’re apologising but you’re smiling at the same time.” he laughed while pointing at the spot where Femi would keep his footwear, “na wa oh, but you didn’t wake me up. I was awake already.” he concluded. “I was smiling because I knocked on the other door outside.” Femi replied while following Chuks lead. “Oh, the people who stay there are not around. In fact they are not really based in Nigeria, the man and his wife just use that flat when they come to Nigeria which is once in a blue moon.” Chuks explained. Femi sat on the couch and admired the sitting room, he smiled at Chuks who simply nodded obviously getting his message. “So this one you came here today?” Chuks asked while leaving the sitting room. “I wanted to invite you and your sister for a programme.” Femi replied. “Your church?” “No, someone gave me this flier yesterday and I just felt like going. Its not a church stuff anyway, its a seminar on relationships.” Princess walked in at that point wearing knee-length shorts and a sweat shirt. “Relationship seminar?” she questioned while sitting and waving at Femi. “Yes, lets all go now.” Femi suggested. “I’m not going jawe, got no business with relationships.” Chuks who had returned to the room replied. “I’m not going too,” Princess chipped in. “Haba now! So you both are going to stay indoors all day, oya lets go see a movie.” Femi pressed on, he was really bored and needed a break. “That’s not bad.” Princess spoke with enthusiasm. “Because you have the money?” Chuks reprimanded, “thanks Femi but we are good.” “You guys chill, the bill is on me. Lets just go out.” “No, don’t bother” Princess replied quickly, she did not want a guy feeling fly simply because he payed for her movie tickets. “See this one. Thanks Femi, make I dress, we’ll go together.” Chuks stuck his tongue at Princess. Princess who was not finding it funny wore a frown, she was bored and wanted to go out too. But would it be wise accepting the silent signals she thought she was getting from Femi? Or was she imagining things? She dried her tears with the handkerchief he had given her, ever since she started explaining everything to him, the tears had refused to stop flowing. She looked at Ore and suddenly wish he would say something to her. Anything at all, he had not spoken a word since she began to narrate her ordeal, no word of encouragement, chastisement, nothing. To make matters worse, his expression was blank. She could not even fathom what was going through his mind. The only form of communication she had gotten from him was the handkerchief he had given her to wipe her face. “Please say something now.” she pleaded, it would be better if he said harsh things to her rather than him keeping quiet and acting like she had not just narrated all she had been through in the past couple of days and most of her teenage life. She stood and walked away from him, he probably thought bad of her already. She had no idea where she was going to but she just felt that urge to walk away from him. Looking into his expressionless face without having a clue as to what he thought about her was killing. Although she felt a whole lot better that she had been able to talk to him about it. She was almost approaching the sports centre, she tried to resist the temptation of turning back to see him possibly running after her, telling her everything would be alright. She gave herself a mental slap, they were not dating so why would he bother running after her? And she was the one who chose to walk away, not like he chased her. She secretly prayed he was following her behind. She felt a thump in her head, Oh no! Not again, why would her head decide to start again? She placed her left hand on her head and felt her knees going weak, the people and cars in front of her suddenly had duplicates. The pain she felt in her head increased again, this time it was as if someone was using a hammer to hit her head and someone else was pricking it with a sharp nail. She screamed out loud and the last she remembered was her being enveloped by masculine arms. If the owner of these arms was who she thought it to be, she really would not mind fainting multiple times just so he would not let her be alone. She realised she had a best friend all along but had been too silly to realise it. “Thank you,” the words she said in her subconscious, sadly he could not hear her. —————– She stood and paced around her room, she just did not understand what was going on. Who was the lady that picked? And why did she ask her who Fola was. She had expected to speak to Fola but had been shocked when the lady picked the call. Apparently she had Fola’s phone with her. Her phone had then tripped from her hands and the call had automatically ended. Picking the parts that were scattered around, her mind had gone through different journeys thinking about the days she had spent with Fola. She in Fola’s arms, cuddling next to him, telling him how her day went and discussing important to less important matters. That was when it occured to her that she did more of the talking, she knew little about his family, the only family member she knew about was his sick mother. A woman she had never even met in person. She thought of the distressing phone call, minutes before she spoke to the lady that picked the call, she had been excited that Fola’s phone was ringing. But now her joy had been cut short by the worries that were forming a queue in her troubled heart. Things just did not seem right, how could someone else pick his call? If it were a family member, the person ought to know Fola’s name, right? She tried to convince herself. Did he misplace his phone? How would she even find out what the problem was? It was not as if she had the contact of any of his family members, so there was no way she could know exactly what the problem was. She had made up her mind to call him back after re- assembling her phone but had stopped when she remembered the soap opera she had seen the day before. Could it be that Fola was cheating on her? Who was the woman that picked the call when she called? If it was a family person, she was not suppose to ask her who Fola was? It probably meant that Fola was not really what she thought he was, she had slept off in a bid to think things through and now that she was awake, she suddenly discovered she was scared to call Fola again and know what the problem really was. What if she discovered something that she did not want to know? She shrieked as the thought of heartbreak came knocking on the delicate door of her heart. She stopped in her tracks as she nearly bumped into someone. “Uhn?” she looked up in surprise at the unexpected visitor. How come she did not realise she had a visitor all along? She wondered how long the person had spent in watching and analysing her. And how on earth could he be in the same room with her? It seemed the day sure had a lot of surprises in stock for her. |
Thanks Princesa and LogoDWhiz, I have my story on my blog though. @D9ty7, you should try this... You'd only need to input the right keywords while google searching. Does this look familiar? PROLOGUETags: Flakkydagirl, Esixlove, Elantracey, Temitope Daniel |

And some of the posts simply make me sad. Ignorance is really a disease I suppose. Who ever said Pharm D is about the 'title'? What ever happened to the main idea- Pharmaceutical care? Pharmacy practice has evolved from dispensing of drugs to Pharmaceutical care and this is an avenue to improve pharmacists. If the security system in the world adopted an innovation to improve security services and then the Nigerian Police Force chooses to follow this innovation, does it mean they are simply up for titles? What is wrong with pharmacists-in-training being equipped so they can stand with their counterparts from any part of the world(not medical doctors) and not bring shame to Nigeria. Is it a bad thing if Nigeria improves? I don't just get the concept, y'all claiming that we don't go through medical school. Says who? I'm a pharmacist-in-training and I'm in medical school. The problem with Nigerians is that we all want to pass our points across even when we realise we could be misleading others. I still get irked when I meet people and they ask, "What's your course of study?" When I reply "Pharmacy" with the inward joy that I'm part of a noble profession, I get disappointed when the next question comes as, "So you want to graduate and sell drugs in a shop?" Really? Pharmacy is more encompassing than that, and Pharm. D doesn't limit one to hospital practice. Are we trying to insinuate that the countries that have implemented this programme do not have pharmacists working in Industries, in Academia, in Research and all. Of course they do, please Nigerians let's embrace progress, Pharm. D is not just for the improvement of the pharmacists but also for the patients, the sole aim is getting better. |

*continued* He had not been able to sleep well the previous night, the events that occurred kept replaying in his dreams. He had taken Dami to her hostel and had spoken to her on the phone several times after, he wished he could visit her in her room but for the school policy which forbade guys from entering female hostels. He was still very much confused about everything, what did that girl mean by claiming that Dami was her girlfriend? And why did Dami faint on seeing her? If Dami had probably challenged the girl, he would not be as confused as he was. But she had been quiet and had simply reacted by passing out. To worsen matters, the weird girl had equally disappeared. If Dami was her girlfriend, it meant that she was a lesbian, he feared as he thought of the possibility. Could that be the reason his friends claimed he was in the friendzone? He wished he could hear what Dami had to say but because she was still weak and resting in her room. Was that what she had wanted to tell him before? Was she planning to inform him that she was a lesbian? The unaswered questions kept piling up in his mind without any solution popping out. Was the girl that left him breathless into girls? --------------- Dami ended the call and stared at her phone screen, if she had the chance to come back into this world. She would never make the mistake of picking Evelyn as a friend. The girl had put her through hell on earth, how could one person be so problematic? She still felt bad that she had kept back some information from her brother. It was strange that Femi called her, he was the last person she was expecting to call at that point. Her classmates and other students she had never met had been bombarding her phone with their calls and texts wishing her speedy recovery. While speaking to her elder brother, she had assured him that all was fine with her. Why did he call at this point in time? Was he aware about how she fainted in school? The news had spread fast on bbm and tweets had done justice in increasing the flame. How they managed to get her picture was a mystery, why would anyone take photographs of someone who was unconscious? What if brother Femi knew and had simply called to confirm, he would probably inform their parents or aunty Titi. If he did that, she was in trouble. It would be way better if she informed them herself or was he stylishly giving her the opportunity to redeem herself by telling the truth? The thoughts of explaining to either her mother and her father however scared the shiit out of her, her first priority would be to explain to Ore. She could not figure out what Ore would be thinking, he was the only true friend she had met in a long time. Even the period she thought she had a best friend in Evelyn, she had been proved wrong. What if Ore changed his attitude towards her? He probably thought bad of her already. So many times she had informed him that she needed no guy in her life on the claims that her books were her topmost priority. What if he began to think she was actually a lesbian? She should have told him earlier, if she had probably informed him the situation of things would probably be better. She had simply complicated issues by not appreciating the concern he had shown her, she secretly prayed she would not lose him --------------- She tossed around the bed and snuggled happily under the sheets. Who would have thought yesterday would end on a happy note? Osagie had eventually showed up explaining that he went to the market to buy foodstuffs. He had prepared lunch and the evening had turned out fine. It had exactly ended up as she anticipated, only that they were yet to get to the part that involved talking about what had happened. They would get to talk later today as soon as she had fully settled down, Osagie had gone to use the bathroom located at the backyard and she could not wait for him to return. When she had seen him yesterday, she realised how she had missed everything about him, from his smell to his voice, to the way his eyes never left her face when they spoke to each other, his kisses and his hands that knew the appropriate manner of administering their touch. She smiled as she recalled the events of yesterday, she turned towards the sound of Osagie's phone ringing on the table. She ignored the phone and snuggled more under the sheets. The phone rang the second time again, she had no business with his call. But she had no idea who the caller was, she wrapped the sheets around her body and walked towards the table. On picking the phone the call had ended, she dropped the phone and was about to return to the bed when it began to ring again. She saw the caller id, who was Sandra? A friend or a business colleague? The person was calling repeatedly and Osagie was yet to return from the bathroom. She decided that she would just pick the call and ask the caller to call back later. That was the only sensible thing she thought of at that point. |
*covers face* Just second day of school and I've been so busy. I tried to draft the chapter yesterday night but was so tired that I slept off. Primary school: I had no idea what love was or the definition of the word 'crush'. But if it had anything to do with me putting up my best behaviour whenever he was around, then I practically fell victim to the word. I clinged to his twin sister so he could get to notice me, he moved with the big bad boys and I was simply an innocent little girl to him. I put a smile whenever Emmanuel came close by perhaps he would eventually say hi. My final year in primary school was nice since he was already my friend but I found it strange that the crush I once had on him had mysteriously disappeared. ![]() JSS3: Why would they always frolick around him? They flirted with him, he flirted back. Annoyance and jealousy had become my best friend whenever I saw him with them. He was the class captain, I simply added to the number of geeks we had in class, my stay in JSS3 was fun but each time I saw Chibueze treating me like a sister whereas he gave the prostitutes attention my heart received a slap. The last time I saw him was months after I left secondary school, and my heart still did a little backflip as I spoke with him. A flip whose sound had drastically reduced. ![]() SS classes: The problem with being a bookworm, the guys see you as a friend but not as a potential lover. ![]() My hormones found guys with high intelligence attractive, add that to their charming attitude. The names so numerous I guess I was a hormone-crazed teenager, I never told any of them. I simply lived in the luxury of painting them as my boyfriend in my daydreams. Silas, Ekene, Otunla, Paul, they were fantastic actors in the movie scripts my teenage head produced. It was fun while it lasted though ![]() JAMB class: My longest crush ever (over a year), I won't mention his name ![]() But a mere handshake got my knees weak, twas that bad. He smiled in my direction and common sense left my actions. He asked me a question and I stammered while struggling to provide an answer. My crush on him died the day I discovered who his girlfriend was . But we are still good friends today![]() University: The crush is still there and he talks to me like he cares but I'm scared his heart is taken. P.S: I choose to use 'crush' on purpose so make una no crucify me. And I added the JAMB class and University because toilet seat inspiration refused to stop ![]() |
![]() ![]() Foxy ooo, toilet seat..So darn true! My own story...when I get to the inspiration zone, I'd probably draft something ![]() ![]() |
