Obviously, your experience is peculiar and valid. But family is really what some of us have "got".

Hopefully, even if the family you came from didn't check the boxes, you'll strive to make sure that the family you produce fare better. I'm sure you'll want better for your kids.

Let the 'truth' you lived be the 'lie' they never live.

I definitely will. Thank you for your kind words.

Whoever said "family is all we've got" lied to us, because in reality you're all you've got.

Learnt this the hard way. 2020 is most definitely the worst year of my life.

Admitted on merit means she got the course she applied for

True...but people do apply for courses they stand a chance at getting and not necessarily what they want. I know someone personally who this happened to and he ended up writing again the next year

Financial reasons? She applied for predegree while school fees payment was still ongoing for the course she was admitted for, and predegree fee is almost the same amount of that of freshers

Different years though. A lot can change in a year right at least financially. Ure beginning to get sentimental; I mean how does an admission in 2012 relate to a predegree application in 2013. If they were the same year; I would agree with u

Also i'm pretty sure i mentioned earlier there could be a myriad of reasons. Please let it go

2. She already said it on the show that she lied during the pageant

Easy for you to believe that she lied for the pageant right?. Yet not want to believe she could also have lied here(bbnaija). I mean she already admitted to telling lies before

Like I said, u've not resolved the dispute around her age as much u'ld like to think

Gosh! If I had known you all will drag this issue for this long, i wouldn’t have commented in the first place, I’m tired already undecided.

1. The same course she was admitted for and forfeited in 2012 was the same course she applied for in predegree and utme in 2013/14 which was the following year. Attached below is proof!

2. The mix up in application year was an honest mistake from me, I admit that, but if indeed it was financial constraints or whatever, she would have simply applied for a deferment which she didn’t do. Every UNIPORT student knows that for one to apply for deferment, you must have reached the age requirement and if you didn’t, the only option is to forfeit the admission and reapply whenever you turn 16.

3. I really don’t know why you guys are hell bent on proving she’s close to 30, she doesn’t even look a day older than 20 grin. She even has 1998 tattooed on her leg.

Personal losses, Financial reasons, Not wanting the course, Not being in the right frame of mind.... please don't make me mention more

To ur second point, cos she's been inconsistent. Not to mention how female pageants are notorious for lying about their age

1. Admitted on merit means she got the course she applied for. Financial reasons? She applied for predegree while school fees payment was still ongoing for the course she was admitted for, and predegre fee is almost the same amount of that of freshers. Not being in the right frame of mind? She could have deferred but went on with the predegree program in the same year she was granted admission? undecided

2. She already said it on the show that she lied during the pageant. So?

..wetin u bring up there no prove shiit ..your claim nor hold water ...if you claim she was too young ..she can defer the admission...2...the nengi at 2014/1015 might be someone else..people answer similar names ...

Bring convocation list make we see since she was same set as your sis ...e no suppose hard

1. For one to defer an admission in Uniport, you must have presented your birth certificate at the admission office and must have met the age requirement, so whoever is below 16 cannot defer, the only option is to drop it and try again.

2. Someone else? Really? undecidedI saw her often, so it can’t be someone else.

Die the issue of convocation list because you won’t still see her face there.

Now u're projecting. I'm sure u know there are plenty of reasons why she could defer/not take the admission(except of course you know her personal reasons).

I'm sorry but this does not solve the dispute around her age as much u'ld like to think

Drop the ‘plenty’ reasons, I’d like to know.

My argument wasn’t really about her age but the fact that she didn’t matriculate in 2011, but then if she says she’s 22, why are you all so pressed?

I already provided proof that she didn’t matriculate in 2011 now you’re looking for convocation list? grin, was the argument about whether she graduated or not?.

I used ‘it could be’ because I wasn’t close to her so I can’t say for sure, give me any other reason why she would have dropped her admission and enrolled in a predegree program instead? I’m waiting.

Quick one. Why does her name also appear in in 2012/2013 list.

i hope you realize she had to be at least 16 in 2012 to get that admission

Check my last post. In Uniport you can be admitted even at age 14, you’ll be admitted, but the only issue will be that you can’t go ahead with your physical clearance.

Can see her name at 2012/2013 merit list too ...I nor undstand

It could be that she couldn’t go ahead with her clearance because she wasn’t eligible due to her age being below 16. She enrolled for the 2013/14 predegree program which doesn’t have age limits and eventually got admitted in the 2014/15 academic session which she went ahead with having turned 16.

The photo was uploaded in 2012 doesn't it was snapped then. This was her in 2013, does that remotely look like a 15 year old?

Lol, Nengi was already in Uniport between 2013 to 2014 running her predegree program in linguistics with my sis. What about this pic disputes the fact that she was 15? My sister who was 17 at the time looked like she was 23 grin. Come to Uniport dept of linguistics, you’ll see 16 year olds and not believe, they’re referred to as the slay queens of the school, they look, dress and behave like adults.

Not true. The date was probably edited. Multiple people who matriculated with her in 2011 have confirmed it all over social media.

This is not the first time I’m seeing someone say this on this page and I’m really tired of seeing this lie. This is my first comment on this page, I usually come here for updates and leave few minutes after but I honestly can’t ignore this anymore.

I attend Uniport( you can check my profile if you think I’m lying). I’ve known Nengi since 2014/15 because she was in my sister’s class and she was a bit popular because of her pageant car, I really didn’t know her name I only knew her as Miss Peace because that was what was written on her car.

My sister’s set finished in 2018 or 19(though some finished much later because of our VC Prof Lale) and most of them are done with nysc while others are prepping to go.

Not sure where this news of Nengi matriculating in 2011 came from because as far as I can remember, my sister matriculated in 2015 or so.

I saw the picture of Nengi at King Jaja hostel which she posted in 2011, and it could be that she visited someone there. If you look closely, you’d see that she took the cap and the stuff she’s holding from the person behind her, besides no one matriculates in Uniport holding that stuff(not sure what it’s called), it’s reserved for those convoking.

Attached is a screenshot of the chat with my sister because I wanted to confirm if it was truly the same Nengi Rebecca Hampson.

If she says she’s 22 then she’s 22, not sure why anyone would have a problem with that. She was in the U2014 set of Uniport, which means that at the time of her admission she was 16 years old which is the age limit for admission in Uniport, so let’s die this matter please. Thank you.

Permit me my people.
So Today I was talking to one of our Big bros today about the course medicine, he just laughed. He told me what about Dentistry and I laughed as well , saying it is just about teeth. He enlightened me a bit about Dentistry saying that it is a branch of medicine which some Dentist students will argue that they are more independent from medicine. Infact ehn, Dentistry is the only medical field that is independent from other fields controlled by Doctors. I was considering radiography, med lab, physiotherapy and many others as well. Funny thing is that there are, Radiologists,Pathologists, and Occupational medicine listed above. Think about this have you ever heard of Medical Doctots bossing Dentists here in Nigeria? Lai,lai grin grin. He has been practising Dentistry for the 6th year running;repairing lost tooth, chopped teeth, cleft lip, assited in Jaw reconstruction and even aligned teeth. He never went to strike one day Lai,lai. He laughs at Medical Doctors all the time for carrying cardboards protesting. Although he said there are few about 6 thousand here in Nigeria. He receives a pay cheque same as MD's.He is looking to enroll for post graduate studies for OMFS(Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery). He said he can as well go to study medicine again here in Nigeria for just 18months whereas MBBS will have to study Dentistry for 3 good years. He doesn't condemn Doctors at all only that they are churning graduates who will leave Naija soon or join in the protest. One of the lies people say is that Dentistry ain't challenging. Dentists have lives, Dentists have patient connections,Dentists are surgeons,Dentists can be cosmetologists,Ask Davido,Ronaldo,Kaka and some other notable Dem go gist you. I go change my course I swear ooo. I will post some pictures soon to tell you that Dentistry is fun and challenging. If you want to work with your hands this is for you. People say respect is different that Doctors are more respected but ask yourselves this question, Why does govt owe you salary? grin. Dentistry would have been like other fields like ENT,surgery,Family medicine as well as others. Let me tell you something and this is what he said and the truth based on research. Many Nigerians going abroad either become Family Medicine Doctors,ER doctors, Anesthesiologists(You must have a huge experience) few become surgeons, Radiologists or even oncologists/radiotherapy. You can be a surgeon there but e no easy. So prestige no dey feed bele ooo shey you know. No troll me and insult me abeg the truth is bitter but that is the truth. A doctor told me going to medicine for money no easy, you will be frustrated. I haven't even told you of the UK and USA health policy on how doctors are monitored all the time. Later then. Just think am oo

I hate it when I come here and see you guys always comparing dentistry to medicine and surgery and trying to pit doctors and aspirants in both fields against each other.

From your write up, you acknowledged that dentistry is a branch of medicine yet was still oblivious of the fact that they are called doctors too seeing the way you only used the term to refer to those who studied medicine and surgery. He receives a pay Cheque same as MDs? grin and doesn’t know that dentists go on strike too undecided.

We can convince aspirants to apply for either medicine and surgery or dentistry without bringing in unnecessary comparisons between both fields.

Having used both Saddler and Moore, I've come to a conclusion that no textbook of Embryology beats Vishram Singh's textbook. This book's description is everything, it is well spaced(unlike Saddler),has more clinical correlates and easy to sketch diagrams.
