Presidency has warned Nigerians to stay off the burial of Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari.

The warning was given by Garba Shehu, the senior special assistant to the president, in Abuja, while adding that Kyari’s burial is strictly private.

The Presidential aide urged Nigerians to observe Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, and Ministry of Health order against Coronavirus.

His words, “After this event, there would be no ceremony such as receiving of condolence visits. People must observe the existing regulations put in place by NCDC and Federal Ministry of Health.

“He was brought here for the wife to take a final look before he is laid to rest”.

Popular humour merchant, Ayo Makun simply known and addressed as AY comedian has decried the amount of hunger in the country when there are resources to take care of everybody’s need.
He raised the alarm after more than 35,000 people besieged his comment section on Instagram to drop their account numbers in anticipation of a giveaway.

He wrote: “In trying to help sort out a few of my followers on Instagram today, I saw over 35,000 comments with account details. There is so much hunger in a land where there’s enuf to take care of everyone’s needs, If only we can take care d GREEDY bastards in different places of authority.”

Politics / Abba Kyari’s Remains Arrives Abuja For Burial by Stephenmike: 1:27pm On Apr 18, 2020
The late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, will be buried on Saturday
(today) in Abuja.

Personal Assistant on New Media to President Buhari, Basir Ahmad, made this known on his Twitter handle on Saturday morning.

He said, “Mallam Abba Kyari will be buried later today in Abuja according to Islamic rites.
Information Nigeria gathered that Muslim prayers will be held for Kyari at the Defence House and his burial will take place at Gudu Cemetery in Abuja.

Kyari died on Friday as a result of complications from Coronavirus.

It was announced on March 23 how Mr Kyari contracted the deadly virus a few weeks after he travelled on an official assignment to Germany.

He was initially receiving treatment in Abuja before he was transferred to a private hospital in Lagos.

In a March 29 statement, Mr Kyari said his health was improving and urged Nigerians to remain calm about his situation and also maintain proper hygiene.

A fatal motor accident has left fourteen travelers dead while eight others sustained serious injuries in Kano State.

DAILY POST gathered that the accident happened on Thursday evening at Makole town along Kano Wudil highway, 30km away from Kano.

The tragic incident involved a Toyata Hiace bus with registration number DAL 116 XA, conveying 22 passengers.

According to a statement released by Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Kano, Corps Commander Zubairu Mato, the vehicle, which went into flames, burnt 14 passengers to death, leaving eight survivors with burnt injuries.

The release said both the injured and burnt corpses had already been evacuated to Wudil General Hospital, Wudil.

Although the Sector Commander stressed that the vehicle was overloaded with passengers, he reiterated the command’s commitment to dealing decisively with earring motorists who are perpetual offenders.

The Sector Commander also cautioned passengers from boarding vehicles already overloaded to prevent needless crashes.

” Let me use this occasion to warn the general public to comply with the stay-at-home order being enforced in Kano State, which is in the best interest of everyone, as it is a measure put in place to curtail further spread of COVID-19 virus in the state.

“ Whoever is arrested violating this order will be sanctioned accordingly.”
