Congratulations on your achievement. I think you must be able to do masters directly. I will advice you to go for Msc in information technology is a very intresting course. But you must go to the closest study centre close to you and confirm first.
Good luck
Thank you very much for your response. But did you say I can do a masters with a HND?
EducationRe: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by sternosa: 3:14pm On Sep 03, 2016
Hello house.
I graduated with a HND in Aeronautics (Aerospace Engineering) and even graduated top of my class in the us. I also made it into the dean's list.
My question is, since NOUN doesn't offer Engineering courses. Would I be allowed to complete a PGd in other unrelated courses?
A response is needed asap, please and thank you.

TV/MoviesRe: Opinion: My 1001 Problems With Nollywood By Sanchez01 by sternosa:
Asides the issues listed in the first post, there are still quite a number of issues that Nollywood (the Nigerian film industry) needs to resolve. Firstly, the issue of piracy is gradually killing the entertainment industry as a whole. Producers are losing profits from nearly every direction due to this issue. Another major concern is the poor editing of our movies. Some of our movies look like they have been edited by amateur editors giving our movie industry a bad name as a whole. More so, censoring is another major issue. Despite being guided by the National Film and Video's censors board, our censoring still needs to be worked on. I've watched movies on countless occasion where words are not properly censored and the last not the least is the lack of government support. If there was consistent support from the government in our industry, we would be better equipped and the final product of the shooting will be superb. However, i still commend the industry for their little but rapid improvements in the last years.

TV/MoviesRe: Television Or Radio? by sternosa: 3:50am On Jun 16, 2016
Although both television and radio are the most effective forms of media, I would defend a radio as a much better means of accessing information than the television for the following reasons; Asides affordability of information to the masses, it requires much more financing to set up a radio station than a television station. Even in the case of advertising, it would require much less funds to market a product on radio than on television.
More so, radio is a convenient means of gaining information especially in a country like Nigeria that suffers power instability. Whether it's a drive on the way to work or a stroll to a kiosk, information is readily available via radio whereas watching television to gather information will require one to be constantly connected to electricity. Radio as a medium of communication has been greatly improved on in the last few years (to Internet radio service giving even Internet subscribers easy access to radio). Another valid point to argue is its portability. Radio is effortlessly mobile whereas television is immobile and can only be watched in certain places.

You're not sounding serious to me
So because I've decided to help an aunt in need, I'm not serious? Please carry your negativity and go away. Thank you! Are you employed? If yes, let people who are looking for jobs find them. If you're not, you need to reconsider your options in life instead of jumping on people's NL posts.

And no, she's not in NL.

Depends on the financial stability of your family.
Those subjects, she can settle for Pol Science. She could either attend NOUN or go for foundation in a private uni (that would guarantee her admission).

38-40k yet you're valuing mine at 18k?
I mean if HTC M8 is 48k, it means you're valuing my phone at 18k which is even half of the price for the 'UK used' version of my phone.
No vex, thank you for your time.

This is a new one!!!

How exactly can we help you? It's a big jump you are about to take cos this is full relocation.

Are you married? If not, better, if yes, then you will have to leave your folks behind till u settle down.

Where in US are you going to? I will suggest new York. Because Alicia Keys said if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.

As per job, do you have your ssn? If no, get one once you get there, process one so you can open a bank account and for tax purposes.

Do you have a US degree? If not, you may not get an awesome job in your field. Hence, you may have to start again. I will suggest you start with an associate degree so that you can get financial aid.

For the first few months, you may have to manage minimum wage jobs such as walmart, subway, target, or security jobs. Or get a state id and a licence so that you can start driving cabs, just make sure you understand US traffic laws, cos US police loves to milk cab drivers. You can also start off as an uber driver, if you can afford a car.

Anybody else can assist this young un find his way back home.

PS: how did you become a citizen?
I was born there. And yes, I have my SSN.

Hello house.
I want to travel to the US but I have two issues:
1) I don't have accommodation.
2) I would need a job.

Can someone please give me realistic advice on how I can go about these issues. Thanks (PS I am an American Citizen that has lived in Nigeria all his life)
