Nigerian Youths expecially those who fight religious and tribal war on social media, need to read this. Arise O' Sleeping Youth of Nigeria!!! Awolowo was (37), Akintola (36), Ahmadu Bello (36), Effiong (36), Balewa (34) and Okotie-Eboh (27), Enahoro (27) led the struggle for independence after the death of Macaulay. Only Zik was 42 at the time. In 1966, the first coup was led by: Kaduna Nzeogwu (29) and countered by Murtala Mohammed (28), Theophilus Danjuma (28), Babangida (25), Nanven Garba (23), Sani Abacha (23), Shehu Musa Yaradua (23), and brought into power Gowon (32), Ojukwu (33), Obasanjo (29), Buhari (24). Most of the military administrators who governed the states under the successive military regimes, most of whom are governors now, were under 30 years. The brief democratic dispensation which interjected the military interregnums also saw the House of Representatives in particular populated by majority of members under 30 years as well as some senators.Under 30s were also not in short supply with appointments, we have examples of MT Mbu who became foreign affairs minister at 23 and Pat Utomi who became a presidential adviser at 27 and so on and so forth. NOW: Why is it that this age bracket is today still sleeping in 3 seater chairs in their parents’ homes? Why is it that this age bracket is today still collecting pocket money from their parents? Why is it that this age bracket is today still writing JAMB? Why is it that this age bracket is today still sagging their trousers? Why is it that this age bracket is today still searching for jobs? Why is it that this age bracket is today no longer qualified to even be leaders of youth wings of political parties? Why is it that this age bracket is today so docile? Why is it that this age bracket is today still incapable of feeding itself? Why is it that this age bracket is today barred by law from even aspiring to certain political offices? Why is it that this age bracket is today incapacitated, unwilling, unable and incapable of asking questions?

Are you still in the business? @vizboy? The last time I dealt with you I almost lost confidence in you in that the data took almost 24 hours before it reaches it destination. You are a man of integrity to this end. Don't do anything to tarnish your image by compromising that standard. Cheers! |

A hero Illinois boy has died days after he desperately tried to save his doomed mom from an SUV submerged in a retention pond, police in Aurora said. Little Ronaldo Alanis-Ramirez told his 7-year-old sister he needed to try to rescue their mother from the vehicle after it careened into a pond about 5 a.m. Wednesday. The little girl was spotted by a police officer thrashing in the water and was rescued, but her 9-year-old brother wasn’t pulled from the SUV until about 30 minutes later. Ronaldo died just before noon Sunday at a Park Ridge Hospital, police said. His mother, 31-year-old Maria Ramirez, spent 40 minutes under water before her rescue and died Saturday about 11 p.m., said police in Aurora, some 40 miles west of Chicago. "They're just a very nice family," the boy’s school principal, Julia Doverspike, told the Aurora-Beacon News. "We're going to miss them." Cops say the mom may have been speeding when she hit another car, swerved across the roadway and a patch of grass, and plunged into the water, fully submerging the SUV some 50 yards offshore. The girl was pulled safely from the water, but her brother, who just finished third grade at Dieterich Elementary School, refused to leave his mother. "She said, 'I told him to come with me,'" Lesly Merlo, a school parent liaison who spoke to the child, told the Beacon News. "He said ... 'I have to go back for mom.'" Maria Ramirez was remembered as a loving mom to her two children, while the boy was mourned by classmates and teachers who miss his warm personality and love of soccer. “He will forever be remembered as a hero. His last actions on earth were to save his little sister and his attempt also save his mom,” friends of the family wrote on a fund-raising site that has since raised nearly $3,000 in donations. “He is now an angel in heaven.” Source http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/hero-boy-9-dies-after-trying-to-save-doomed-mom-from-suv/ar-AAc0vKh?ocid=wispr

I don't knw d reason y I find it difficult to believe dis |
taiwolusol:The best option that seems to b a genuine reason to nysc before thet can allow u to leave d camp after 5days is to claim a life threatening ailment which I for one don't subscribe to. Normally bf u can pull any redeployment, it is always after that three weeks of camping. However in nigeria where d most unexpected can happen, if u know an oga @d top who knows anoda oga@d top in abuja, nothin is impossible. A friend of mine did travel to nysc national secretariat in abuja from Jalingo after camping to plead with dem and his request was granted. |
