Chizzyozi:
no problem. Please did you use language of proficiency or ielts? If the former how did you go about acquiring it? Thanks in advance
Getting a letter of proficiency from Unilag is quite easy. I got mine in less than 5 days.

While the transcript takes about 3-4 weeks. Cheers!

Congratulations @Ekykool. Kindly reply your pm

Ekykool:
WARNING: Long read.

Finally, I have my passport stamped with visa!

Interview date: August 16th

Funded BA: August 27th

AM arrival: September 13th

Passport & Insurance submission: September 14th

Passport arrival:September 19th

Thanks to God Almighty who made everything possible. Also, thanks to the wonderful people on here. Actually the journey started September last year after deciding that I would further my studies at Germany. My first call was to register with Goethe Institut Lagos. Secondly, I followed the German student visa thread on Nairaland. While reading through, I saw that I was on the right path. Advices like "knowing the language is the meal ticket here, use google search to get any answer you want, choose your course wisely..." were so helpful. I wanted a bachelor course that has a combination of management and engineering even though I have a CGPA more than enough for a masters degree. After my search on DAAD, I settled to apply to schools that accepts English proficiency letter, such as:
Fachhochschule Würzburg-Schweinfurt (FHWS) - B.Eng Business & Engineering.

Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) - B.Eng Engineering & Management (NC).

Hochschule Trier, Umwelt-Birkenfeld - B.Eng Sustainable Business & Technology.

Deggendorf Institute of Technology (DIT) - B.Eng Industrial Engineering/Maintenance and Operation.

I got admission letters from every one of them and settled for FHWS considering important factors.
Here I am today with a visa, German B1 certificate (thanks to my teachers such as Frau Frances smiley, Frau Solomon smiley, Herr Musbaudeen cool, Herr Tunji cool, among others), and a course of my choice (not JAMB choice lol).

Advice for newbies: All you need is on this thread. Go back to as far as 2016 thread. Read and read! You could end up becoming an agent. As for those going for another BSc, prepare for test questions in order to ease pressure that may arise during interview. You can ask for previous transcripts on the test questions. They are helpful. Also, dont just see this opportunity as an escape route. You can settle for that dream course you have always wanted. For those with only WAEC/NECO (which is not equivalent to German Abitur), read through what it takes to make it in Studienkolleg. Be truthful to yourself. If you don't have the capabilities to make the B1 Zertifikat and study in German at Studienkolleg, simply go get registered at NOUN to complete a 100 Level course or get admitted to any other university or get an A Level certificate (Note: check the school's requirements), then apply to German universities. German A1 and A2 are fun, not until you get to B1. Topics like Adjektiv Deklination, Verben mit Präpositionen, and B1 grammars are not child's play. Simply read Jigba's diary on here on Nairaland to learn more.

Bis später!
