Zulum receives Cameroonian 4th region military commander

Borno Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum on Thursday received a Cameroonian military delegation led by the 4th region joint military commander, General Saly Mohammadou at the Government House, Maiduguri.

He was accompanied by General Bouba Dobekreo, Commander Sector 1 Multinational Joint Task Force; Brigadier General Essoh Jules-Cesar, Commander Fourth Gendarmerie, GOC 7 Div Bridgdier Gen. AK Ibrahim among others

General Saly appreciated the political support rendered by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum in the fight against insurgency in the Lake Chad region. He said the support had facilitated the smooth execution of non-kinetic operations, creating conducive environment for the return of internally displaced persons and refugees to their ancestral towns to pick up the pieces of their lives.

The Cameroonian military were in Nigeria to share experiences and improve collaboration between forces of the two countries in the fight against insurgency in the Lake Chad region.

Responding, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum made a case for improved trans border trade between the citizens of the two countries.

He stressed that, collaboration between Nigeria and Cameroon is very important at this time to contain the resurgence of Boko Haram in the region.

Acording to him, Nigeria and Cameroon shares the same culture and traditions, hence, the free movement of people between the two countries.

Zulum said, "Cameroon and Nigeria, most of our people shares the same tradition and culture. Though the insecurity has affected all the countries in the Lake Chad region, all our economies were affected. Therefore, there is need for us to come together and fight this insurgency."

"The issue of trans border trade is very important, all of us know Banki. We are doing everything possible to reopen Banki market, we are planning to reopen Bama-Banki road. Let us support the security architectures, so that we can ensure free movement of our people."

He noted that, Borno State Government is planning to return most of the people affected by the insecurity that are taking refuge in the Cameroon soon.

PoliticsKogi Lawmakers Endorse Yahaya Bello For Presidency by streetpaddy(op): 1:55pm On Dec 03, 2020
The Kogi State House of Assembly has asked Governor Yahaya Bello to contest for the position of the President of Nigeria in the 2023 presidential election.

The House in its plenary session on Wednesday said their decision for the endorsement was borne out of the outstanding performances of the Governor in the state.

The Majority Leader, Abdullahi Bello while moving the motion said Governor Bello has transformed the state and rid the state of kidnapping and armed robbery.

“Yahaya Bello by his creative governance style has somehow engineered a reversal of several negative national development indicators in Kogi State. Examples abound everywhere.

“Under his watch, Kogi State has been transformed from the kidnap capital of Nigeria outside the embattled north-east, into a polity where the abduction of humans for ransom, along with other violent crimes like armed robbery have become mere opportunistic aberrations.

“The Right Honourable Speaker and Honourable Members of the Kogi State House of Assembly upon due deliberation of proper motion, therefore, do hereby unanimously make and pass a vote of confidence on his excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.”

The lawmakers added that, “this solemn call is first and foremost premised upon and borne of our belief that the subject, Yahaya Bello, is a fit and proper person, with the right mix of youth, experience, and track record to answer – same firmly and decisively in 2023 and beyond.”

The lawmakers also said the North Central Zone has not had a shot at the Presidency and Governor Bello is the right peg to lead the nation.

Praxis758:
This is blasphemous.

Anyone who comes up with this agitation should be seen as an enemy of the north.

Buhari has favoured the north with juicy appointments and concentrated key national projects. These has since brought a desired transformational effects on the region.

The key and juicy appointments being held by the northerners is a testament that all the reports of insecurity in the norther is to defame Buhari's government.

No one can convince me that the stable peace in Katsina is not a product of Buhari's indigenship of that state. Likewise, the utter decimation of Boko Haram in the NE is a witness that Buratai is an indigen of Borno state.

So, calling for Buhari's resignation should be condemned by all well meaning Nigerians.
You see why you are a monkey, so it is only the North that is in the full Nigeria, south, east and west are nobody right, may bokoharm find you this afternoon.

Lazy youth, this is what joblessness has turned you into. You are not thinking of what will improve your life before 2023, instead you are thinking of which or what political party of criminals to vote for in 2023.

Well, let me enlighten you before joblessness leads into foolishness. Between now and the next general elections, several indices would have changed. Several political prostitutes would have crossed to another party which they think will give them easy access to the national treasury. Have you forgotten how Rotimi Amaechi, Bukola Saraki, Rabiu Kwakwaso and other looters left PDP for APC less than six months before the 2015 general elections thereby stripping Goatluck Jonaddaft nakked at the market square?

Have you also forgotten how Bukola Saraki, Atikuchukwu Abubakar, Rabiu kwakwaso and other shameless looters ran back from APC to their vomit in PDP when they couldn’t get access to the national treasury through APC because Buhari and his Hausa/Fulani gang of thieves sidelined others?

Even Asiwaju Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu the Jagaban Borgu and his political family of looters too may have moved to another party.

Many things outside and beyond our thoughts will happen before the 2023 but what is paramount is that you and Ai should improve our lives before then
That harsh mehn
