Dear fellow Nairalanders, today, I'm feeling on top of the world, because I can clearly see from this thread that majority of my fellow Nigerians still have very high moral standards! @ OP: I feel great compassion for you, because I have gone through a similar challenge. What saved me from ruin at the time were 2 things: A. My family and B. God's Word. SOME DETAILS A, My family contributed greatly because they ALL, without exception, condemned the step I wanted to take. In fact, my Dad threatened to disown me if I went ahead. He told me that the easiest way for a man to destroy his destiny is by having anything to do with another man's wife. B. God's Word finally brought me back from the brink, because I took some time off work (and away from the situation) to go and research what God says about it. What I discovered shocked me back to my senses. Permit me to share some of them: Hebrews 13:4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. 1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Luke 16:1 Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. Proverbs 6:32 But a man who commits adultery has no sense; whoever does so destroys himself. Matthew 5:27-28 You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. etc, etc. HOWEVER, our loving heavenly Father also promises to forgive and cleanse us, if we sincerely repent: 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. WHAT CAN YOU DO? 1. If you have already promised to marry that woman, find a way to withdraw that promise. 2. Avoid being alone with the woman under ANY circumstance. If need be, get another job, leave that environment and stop communicating with her. 3. Find time to be alone with God and sincerely repent for what you have already done. In case you don't know, that woman's home is already on fire, because of you. Her children are probably crying to bed everyday, because such an immoral woman will totally neglect her home, her husband and her children, because she believes herself to have found "UNCONDITIONAL LOVE"! She will no longer clean her own home, prepare food, have sex with her husband or show any respect towards him (even in front of her children). I wish you the very best as you make your decision. God bless you! Chijeep: |
TUANKU:Quite informative - I didn't know there were so many bridges across the River Niger. |
phemsie:You are very correct. Just imagine the 1965 bridge built for £6.75m, versus the 2023 bridge built for the naira equivalent of £356m! |
Congrats are truly in order. Well done Prof! aibookwriter: |
07kjb:I tell you! |
Kobojunkie:Your reaction to the post is very revealing. For all you know, the Original Poster may be a worshipper of Ifa, Amadioha, Egbesu, Aondo, Sarikin Bakka, or something else. Do any of the native or foreign "gods" teach hatred or injustice towards our fellow human beings? |
Nice to read something very positive about Ogun State, for a change! |
NaijaSamurai:Is Fidelity Bank a good employer? Who knows anything about their salary scale or conditions of service? |
ruggedtimi:You are correct. The guy has been very consistent through the years as an excellent manager. |
JapaNinja:...And also more of these types of jobs! |
JapaNinja:Very very serious! Apart from foodstuff, the hooligans were carting away fridges, TVs, generators, etc... |
Yes o! A lot of Ghanaians came to live in Nigeria in those days. grandstar: |
Wow! Right now, N3,205 can't even buy a plate of Extravaganza Pizza from Domino's. NaijaphiliaBlog: |
NaijaphiliaBlog:Wow! Those were the days... |
Jogs1900:Yes it will, one export sales start from the new refinery. |
Nice one! |
Brass8:Please shed more light. How do you know they are legit? |
Lexusgs430:Thanks a lot, but the reason I brought this here is that the person who invited me to join OmegaPro happens to be someone I really trust and respect. He is a top manager in one of Nigeria’s blue-chip companies, and I've known him for a long time. He has tried to explain the basis of OmegaPro investments but I am not 100% convinced. |
Fellow Nairalanders, sometime ago, someone invited me to join the OmegaPro online investment scheme but I have been very sceptical about it. Do you know anything about them? Are they running a genuine investment or is it another MMM in disguise? Please share whatever you know about them. |
43Ronin:Ogun State seems to have a nasty reputation for ritual crimes. Any particular reason for this? |
The US says it has "serious doubts" about the credibility of Equatorial Guinea's election results that saw the world's longest-serving president continue his 43-year-rule. Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, 80, secured almost 95% of votes, according to election officials. "Given the scale of irregularities observed and the announced results giving the [ruling party] PDGE 94.9% of the vote, we have serious doubts about the credibility of the announced results," said US State Department spokesman Ned Price. It said there were credible allegations of "significant election-related irregularities, including documented instances of fraud, intimidation, and coercion". NaijaphiliaBlog:..."like he had been doing for over 20 years"... This is the hidden truth about gambling: It is based on pure luck, with zero guarantees. The man had been staking his money for over 20 years, without winning anything! Some people have gambled all their adult lives, yet never won anything till they died. |
DeFuturePresido:He probably went abroad on sabbatical... ![]() |
NaijaphiliaBlog:Nice one! ... Time for me to hail a cab and go for my PVC. |
Efuaye:Marathon runner...very apt metaphor for Elon Musk! |
NigeriaMustFly:Yes it does. The rules are actually displayed very conspicuously. For example: "Don't abuse, bully, deliberately insult/provoke, fight, or wish harm to Nairaland members OR THEIR TRIBES." |
Forumobserver12:You haven't missed anything. Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue (born 25 June 1968), nicknamed Teodorín, has been Vice President of Equatorial Guinea since 2016. He is a son of Teodoro Obiang (president of Equatorial Guinea) by his first wife, Constancia Mangue. |
ella29:This is also possible...especially because he has been incommunicado for so long. |
kansoboy:Na wa ooo...Someone told me about two parents that asked a "medicine man" to supernaturally call their son back from Europe (after he had been gone for 15 years with no contact), and the son landed in the country the next day. When asked what he came to do in Nigeria, he couldn't give any reasonable explanation. |
Sammy4Joy:Amen! |
adecz:Let's hope that is not the case... |
ogaemma:Word! There is no worse slave than one who thinks himself free. |
