Didijiji: to cover gross nepotism, you guys must go and fetch all manners of true and fictitious data.
The same thing uncle Yori and all those TVC male presenters do on their programs
Excuse must be sought and secured
Tueeeeeehhh Why are you wailing just because your hypocrisy was exposed. I am neither Igbo nor Yoruba which is why I can look at things objectively. An ability you do not posses. Mba is barely qualified for CP but because he came from a region with few top officers he got accelerated promotions entirely based on qouta system and not merit. |

Pacesetter123: You guys are te.rri.ble. Was the comments about Mba? Is Mba the most senior among the DIGs? The comment was about appointing IGP from among the DIG and not AIG as the case mostly is. Pass through normal ranks...CP--AIG-DIG--IGP. I even mentioned that the same thing is happening in the military and other security agencies. So,is Mba also in the military and other security agencies?
Is Mba the only senior to Disu in the police force? Why are you so particular about Mba when none of the comments quoted didn't mention him? Abeg I no dey follow una do Igbo and Yoruba ethnic para for Nairaland. I am talking about national security issues here and not your usual Igbo and Yoruba online fight.
I am neither Igbo nor Yoruba which is why I can look at things objectively an ability you do not posses.
Your kind tried to sneak in your Mba through the back door only to meet a brick wall now you are wailing. You don't do Igbo and Yoruba ethnic para but here you are wailing upandan just because Mba and Igbo officer was not picked as IG. Mba is barely qualified for CP but because he came from a region with few top officers he got accelerated promotions entirely based on qouta system and not merit. |

ogmask: I agree with you. Makes no sense at all. If they truly believe the system is the best they should do same with the judiciary lets see how it will play out. See how we struggle with security issues here and there yet we tell very senior officers to go jome because of politics. Until we look inwards and replace the paddy paddy style with a merit based system of succession our security architecture may remain dormant. All these crying and wailing is because of Mba yet Mba is the least qualified of the DIGs. Mba cannot be IG over Disu because Mba joined the police as an inspector while Disu joined as ASP cadre from the University direct. |
Politics › Re: All Police DIGs, Senior AIGs To Retire After Disu's Confirmation As IGP by stuffs2002: 11:04pm On Mar 06 |
Pacesetter123: Maybe, appointment of IGP based on seniority. He is frowning at a system where a politician will just pick a very junior officer to become an IGP over his numerous seniors in service probably bcuz of political or ethnic consideration. The same thing is happening in the military and other security agencies. I agree with the guy that it's wrong to do so. The system can breed a lot of disgruntle elements in the Force which can have negative impact on national security. From CP to AIG, from AIG to DIG, from DIG to IGP... that's how it should be. Mba got double promotion based on quarter system and became DIG while some of his mates were still commissioners. Why did you not cry and wail over his accelerated promotions then? Mba entered police as an inspector but because of qouter system was promoted and became senior to his former seniors but you did not wail over that. |

Kukutente23: This is how we have used nepotism to destroy all our forces and paramilitary outfits And we want to fight insecurity? But when it comes to appointments, we're prepared to sacrifice good heads and experienced hands to accommodate tribal nuances and regional sentiments This rubbish started with Buhari. Before him, it was largely minimised and seniority and operations experience took more precedence Unfortunately Tinubu who should know better and do better has taken same posture This approach by politicians will ultimately breed indiscipline in the security services and you can expect to be hearing of more coups as the presidency rotates and servicemen are sacrificed to balance the rotation Where is the nepotism you are crying about? |

fineboynl: Some defensive weapons were developed for Ukraine to stop the Shahid drones, and they were very effective. At least they can use it to match Iran's Shahid drones cost.
Ukraine tried their best to put up a solid fight with Russia. Half and a quarter of Russian soldiers are dead or have fled the country. No young Russian wants to do anything with the country's military because the pay is so low.The only thing keeping Putin still standing is the nuclear weapons. emiye: Frank Mba in 1992 joined as cadet officer, Current IG joined in 1992 as ASP. Go figure. The two individuals have distinguished themselves and time and chance happen to them all. Mba joined as a cadet inspector while Disu joined as a cadet ASP and they are not in the same category. Mba rose through the ranks entirely out of quarter system. |

May the Lord bless and keep you. May He make His face to shine upon you and give you His peace. You and yours will never lack anything good. Enjoy your retirement with joy all around. Mba had less than a year to go |

Asmanthinket: The fact that he is the only one that is being discussed, out of about 11 of them shows that he knew his onions very well as a police officer. We all know that the right thing was not done in the appointment of the ig. I wish him well in his retirement years. There is no way you can deny the most productive part of a system the opportunity to function and make head way. Unless merit prevails, as it was during the colonian days, things in Nigeria will continue to be messy Mba got double promotion based on quarter system and became DIG while some of his mates were still commissioners. Mba is the least qualified DIG out of all the DIG because he entered the police as an inspector and those talking about him are his tribal people who always attached tribal sentiments to everything in the country. |

Unbiased1: CIA armed boko haram Don't solve the problem your country is facing, keep looking for who to blame for your failures. Your governors are spending more money on hajj than on proper education and you expect boko haram not to have more members with the growing number of illiterate children roaming the streets of Nigeria. Like I said before, keep looking for who to blame for your country's issues. If you want to hide something from a black man, put it in a book. Even when information is at your finger tips, the negro in you will still not carry out the basic research |

For Trump, the immediate gain is toppling the regime. The next administration(s) will have to deal with the Kurdish militants later.
These Kurdish guys if well armed will get the bad job done quicker than any F-35 or B-2 bomber Bottom line is that United States combined with Israel couldn't defeat Iran they had to enlist terrorists to do the job for them. Same way the CIA funded Boko Haram in Nigeria |

Kachi1194: USA should be aware that arming the Kurdish in Iran can also have a huge significant impact on turkey, cos if the Kurdish should win and probably be a state of it's own, the Kurdish in turkey will also fight to join their kins in a state of their own. Is USA going to sabotage a fellow NATO country just to achieve it's own goals without considering the impact it will have on others. The USA care about no one |
