Lanruze:
Obasanjo had a good relationship with the North, In fact a very mutual relationship.

He visited the founder of Boko- Haram - Yusuf and was hosted by him, they fired no single shot throughout the eight -8- year regime of Obj.

Sharia Laws became contentious and only the then opposition ANPP Governor of Zamfara Alhaji Sani Yerima insisted on the introduction of Sharia.

Obasanjo is not Tinubu or Buhari's mate in being detrabalised.

His Cabinet was a mix of all ethnic groups whom were well represented.
Obasanjo had a good relationship with the north until he betrayed the north and left them to die in the hands of the deadly boko haram.

Obasanjo was voted by the north while his Yoruba kinsmen (who knew his true character) refused to vote him

How is Brigade Commander, Amechi Agwu different from Nzougwu that murdered Ahmadu Bello and his wife in cold blood in January 1966.

I hate neighbours like this. They are too superstitious and always exaggerate everything beyond reason.
Those birds are not more than 15 and there will be a perfectly logical reason why they are acting like that but one pastor has brainwashed them into believing everything is something else

The day I notice a neighbour is like this is the day I will stop talking or exchanging greetings with them

Perhaps they slaughtered an animal.

Or there's a corpse... shocked

Or ... The residents annoyed a crow. They bring back their flock and harass you for life if care isn't taken.

They even pass on grudges to their kids.

Will put a reference for this.

All those stories of crows are oyinbo stories. It does not belong in Africa

Crows can only pass on grudges and harass you if you are not an African.
Any crow that foolishly harass Africans will land in a cooking pot grin
African hunters hunt and kill crows for centuries yet crows still fear them till forever

Can you just imagine it and what your northern brothers will use you and do? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

As we speak, one of your Obas is already in the Bandits camp eating beans and doing frog jump for the bandits in Kwara.

So just imagine you and the North alone in Nigeria?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The disgraced convict called Nnamdi Kanu was only terrorising his own people because only the south east region suffered death and destruction while other region progressed

I will respond soon.

Your doctored history can't go unresponded to.

Your narrative was part of scope that contributed to the pogrom and near dismemberment of Nigerian state. This will be tackled in my next essay.

Watch out!
It shows how despicable a person can be for him to justify the brutal ethnic cleansing that Igbos carried out in the guise of a coup on the 15th of January 1966.

Instead of Igbos to be begging Nigerians for forgiveness they are trying to change history forgetting that;-
1) the loss of those leaders was very painful to other regions
2) Igbos will never be trusted with power again

You want to blame others for the failures of Obasanjo. Go back and read the history of Boko Haram before you turn yourself into a clown online

How is it anyone's fault if your brain can't tell a reasonable and intelligent lie. What exactly are you trying to prove when people can remember.
You want to lie on behalf of Obasanjo while Obasanjo had already owned up to years ago on national TV

Boko Haram started under Obasanjo and that spiralled balled into the insecurities we currently have but an unintelligent person cannot see the correlation.

So what then happens after him?

Governance is continuum. Because BH is recorded to have started in his watch doesn't absolve successive government at stopping it. Rather, what we're seeing of recent is politicians using them as political tools to win elections.

It will forever be a reckoning force as far as our political journey is now concerned.

Obasanjo the father of Boko Haram

Obasanjo had the golden opportunity of nipping Boko Haram in the bud when insecurity was still in its infancy stage but he failed woefully.
Olusegun Obasanjo threw Nigeria into the mess we are today in terms of insecurity

Keep quiet if you don't know History of 1966 coup.

It was a pan Nigerian putsh, but hijacked by centrifugal forces. I'm sure your parents were not Born then as Gen Z.

You view issues from ethnic prism.

That's your nemesis!
Hahahaha...

I just dey laugh you and your self deception

You can keep deceiving yourself all you want but Nigerians now the truth.

The January 1966 coup was a bloody and brutal ethnic cleansing coup that was planned and executed by the Igbos to shift power from a Hausa man to the Igbos.

Even though many Igbos held many offices and the army was 80% Igbo, out of the 21 victims of the January 1966 coup, only one person was Igbo

The victims are as listed below
1. Sir ahmadu bello-Fulani from Northern Region.
2. Sir Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa-Gere from Northern Region.
3. Samuel Ladokr Akintola-Yoruba from Western Region.
4. Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh-Itsekiri from Midwest Region.
5. Hafsatu bello (wife of Sir ahmadu bello)-Fulani from Northern Region.
6. Mrs Latifat Ademulegun (Brigadier Ademulegun's wife, who was pregnant)-Yoruba from Western Region.
7. Brigadier Samuel Ademulegun-Yoruba from Western Region.
8. Brigadier Zakariya Maimalari-Kanuri from Northern Region.
9. Colonel kur Mohammed-Kanuri from Northern Region.
10. Colonel Ralph Shodeinde-Yoruba from Western Region.
11. Lt. Colonel Abogo Lagerma-Marghi from Northern Region.
12. Lt. Colonel James Pam-Jos native from Northern Region.
13. Lt. Colonel Arthur Unegbe-Igbo from Eastern Region.
14. Sergeant Daramola Oyegoke-Yoruba from Western Region.
15. Police Constable Philip Lewande-Minority from Northern Region.
16. Police Corporal Akpan Anduka-Efik from Eastern Region.
17. Police Corporal Hagai Lai-Minority from Northern Region.
18. Police Corporal Yohana Garkawa-Minority from Northern Region.
19. Lance Corporal Musa Nimzo-Minirity from Northern Region.
20. Ahmed Pategi-Minority from Northern Region.
21. Zarumi Sardauna-Minority from Northern Region.

The questions you should be asking yourself are
1) How come only one out of the 21 victims is Igbo?
2) How come South East leaders were not touched even though they were the most corrupt leaders in the country at that time?
3) How come the coup was leaked to Azikiwe and he left the country for the UK on the pretext of going for medical treatment even though he never went to any hospital while he was out of the country?
4) Why did Major Obienu tip off ironsi and Ironsi went on a boat party after Maimalari's reception on the night of the coup?
5) Why did Ironsi ignore the report of the Special Branch of the Nigerian Police on the coup?
6) Why did Ironsi refuse to prosecute the coup plotters to the dismay of Nigerians
7) Why did Ironsi snatched power from Dipcherima (a Borno man) even though Dipcherima was the most senior Nigerian official after the leaders had been murdered?
9) Why did Ironsi quickly surrounded himself with Igbo officers and Igbo civilians immediately after the coup?

As much as I can tell, South Africans are more sensible than wailers. South Africa has myriads of problems, the country is seriously battling with mass shootings but at no point will you see South Africans come on Nairaland to put down their country. Whenever they create threads here, it's positive news about their country and are ready to engage in fisticuffs when you trying to say something negative about them. From the humiliation of Ramaphosa in the White house, to the UN and to the G20 summit, majority of South Africans stood by their country not necessarily by their President. Unlike wailers & the bitter people who go everywhere on social media pulling down their country unnecessarily. I'm like you guys were not the first people to lose an election in Nigeria but if you continue in your shenanigans and refused to change your gutter mindsets, then you will grow old trying to get to power in Nigeria.
I don't think those people will ever change because they have been like that long before the elections.

That was why they used the excuse of a coup in January 1966 to commit the most heinous ethnic cleansing while leaving their own leaders out of the killing spree.
