I hope our dear VP realizes that he will save himself a lot of time and respect by participating in finding solutions to the present state of the economy rather than delve into trivial issues such as indigene or residence rights with serious potential consequences that wont go down well with everybody. As a learned individual, he should sure know by now that such proposition wont fly 'cos I see NO concrete reason why I must share the same right with one bloody & homeless stranger without ties to my lineage. THE SAME WAY A MAN IS FREE TO CHOOSE WHERE HE COMES FROM IS ALSO THE SAME WAY THE PEOPLE THERE ARE FREE TO REJECT HIM AS A PART OF THEIR COMMUNITY. This shouldnt be hard to grasp Sir, VP Osinbajo, or is it? . Moreover, the success of a nation depends on the commitment of the people to DO THINGS THE RIGHT WAY, not on some laws that gives some indigenes and foreigners same rights.!! |

EternalTruths:Are 'Southern Cameroun' and 'Cameroun' the same? |
misterawo:You must be a naturally endowed fool boy. Why not admit your mistake rather than insult. Even a 5 year will be dissapointed seeing a grown-up like you spew such balderdash. Tell us in history when Cameroun and Nigeria had ever been together or mute up ur rusting mouth. Its that simple gizzo.!! |
misterawo:When in history has Cameroon ever been together with Nigeria?.. Oh boy, is this Aba-made history or what? You these things will never stop these hilarious acts of stupidity of yours.!! |
coolitempa:Dont get me wrong Sis. I cant detest Tonyebarcanista as an Ijaw. You and I both know we Yorubas far prefer SSers to those eastern urchins. What am just getting at is: Ijaw-Yoruba political union is not as rossy as Tonyebarcanista has painted it (not that I really support such poor relationship) . As for other SS groups, of course i cant debate that with you, Yorubas are fukin' close to SSers (like edos and co.) |
Will the SE support regionalism? Will the SE support an "indigene/native clause" in the constitution? Will SE support TRUE FEDERALISM? Will SE support land control by region? Sometimes I laugh at this fools who think others are actually fools as they are. Imagine miscreants wanting "geographical naturalization" in other peoples' lands but will never agree on the concept of "resource nationalization", wanting "no indigene/native dichotomy" but "oil dichotomy". Nigerians know who the crazy people are. They pollute everywhere. |
Tonyebarcanista, you can try regurgitate some unconfirmed historical event about Ijaw-Yoruba political relationship all you like, it changes nothing. Lest you and I forget, a good taste of what may be of such union are tribal clashes that has occured btw the two tribes. The Ondo-Arogbo saga The Ijaw fracas in Lagos... Yoruba marginalization in GEJ's hand Face it man, nothing good can come out of such relationship. (BTW, I'll advice you throw ur mental energy into another thread. Yorubas wont fall for this very simple thing of yours, trust me. Try something much more superb and sophisticated. NO GRUDGES Bro). |
There is nothing substantial nor special about an Ijaw-Yoruba relationship JUST LIKE it is with Yoruba-Igbo relationships you see today. At the end, each knows they dont follow similar paths. The West is not the South. QED.!!! |
superduperjay:I understand that as forumites there's actually the need to play by the rules which I am doing. Just like constantly derailing the thread, I see no wisdom in unnecessarilly banning and hiding people's comments all in the name of vendetta. If someone insults your personality, then that will be a different case that warrants punishment. But alas, what do I see here?.... Just too many hidden posts that have defaced the thread. Bro, to me, this I have to say, is just plain childishness and lack of tact to whoever the faulters may be ( i cant take sides right now). For a long time now, i have been trying to keep cool on the sidelines to see if things will get better but what I get is a complete opposite. As adults, I think whoever are at fault here should know they stand to gain nothing behaving awkardly. |
Why throw away this thread now?....I still dont get why. |
Blueeyedboi:Of course we will rise to the challenge. At the same time, you lots too should also brace up for some sad experience come that day.!! It's so much simple. |
ezeagu:He has spoken. I have spoken. OPC has spoken. Yorubas have spoken.!! I actually expect you to be involved in a team of your people who are hell bent on testing our resolve rather than arguing. Please ensure that your people confront enough enraged average Yorubas and OPC thugs that day. Lastly, I hope you all dont cry and wail genocide or any trash whatever the consequences of your actions that derail a world of peace might be afterwards. Human right bodies are well aware of circumstances like this and wont worry themselves knowing who the original belligerents are. |
Topeakintola:You need not reveal that horrible Ilaro experience to a flateeno. I doubt they have the guts to withstand such experience unlike the reckless Fulanis!! |
Topeakintola:The fool has forgotten June 12.!! |
redsun:Story for your Gods. No point in talking too much. Trust me, before a backlash, its best we let the international community know first befor a go ahead. With that, THEN THERE'S MORE REASON TO KEEP YOU AT BAY EVEN IT MEANS WIPING YOU ALL OFF IN THE NAME OF PEACE THE WORLD CRAVES FOR!! it's that simple. |
I for one have no problem with their useless 'World Ibo day'. Where the problem lies is when these miscreants try to turn this into a protest. If that is the intention, then God help them try blocking roads on that day. My advice to the OPC and Yoruba elders is to proactively and secretly intimate some international human rights bodies about the act of provocation these urchins are about to embark on. I think doing this will give us MORE ROOM AND EXCUSE TO REALLY GET RID OF THEM ON A SAD DAY THAT WILL BE FOR THEM WITHOUT ANY CONSEQUENCES.!!! |
Sincerely, I wish Yoruba Obas fire a warning to the so-called useless individual parading himself as Oba outside Yorubaland. Just look at the level of insanity displayed. That some animals crown themselves kings in another man's land doesnt mean we should allow a set of degenerates soil our pride by watching them indulge themselves. Yoruba Obas need act fast now.!! |
WombRaiders:You too dey observe sooooo. Anyway lets just play safe not to end up attacking unreasonably. Ever since the vivian incident, I'm sure guys like you and I will somehow have some doubts, you know what I mean.. |
Its so rare to see an individual mourn a loved one until just of recent when Vivian established the Order. Ever since then, madness is what has been a recurring sequel. To the OP, if truly its has you have said, then RIP to your mam. |
Yeah Seun, state governments can definitely find ways of getting cash other than milking the poor populace. You and I are quite aware taxing people wont solve the current problem. Rather than tax people, states sure will have ways of reeling in the costs without the people feeling it, trust me. Ok, take a situation whereby a transport scheme starts on a relatively LOW side with almost everyone prefering to go on buses rather than private transport. A slow and gradual fee increase is a VERY EFFECTIVE way of taxing without the populace even caring, wont it?.... I mean, states need not tax before making money. Agriculture, sports, transport, low/medium/high cost housing, etc are a FEW ways these states arent clearly ready to try out due to acute greed and corruption. |
YES Fellas, I'm loving how you keep kicking it on this thread. Thumbz. MY LITTLE CONTRIBUTION: Considering that Nigeria is gradually nearing the era of an economic meltdow (let's just assume we arent yet), dont you think embarking on additional capital projects by our SW governors will be like adding more salt to an injury wide open? Osun state presently is on its toes striving to survive economically due to the reckless loads of capital projects commissioned by Aregbewere. Ekiti state could barely perform even before the FG started cutting allocations. Oyo state keeps wallowing in 'unreasonable' debts that makes it difficult for development to move at minimum expected levels. This definitely can now even get worse now that FG is cutting down the monies. This leaves only Ondo, Ogun, and Lagos to find a way of maneuvering the present situation. Though I'm aware Lagos and Ogun can cope well with situation considering the enourmous income both states generate, i doubt Ondo will ever weather the storm if it doesnt put an IMMEDIATE end to the same mismanagement that is presently devouring the 'triad' (Osun, Oyo, Ekiti). It will sure take no time before a 'quad' evolves if such does continue. Lets face it people, THIS AINT NO TIME FOR PROJECTS, but THE TIME FOR REVENUE GENERATION. Its now or never!!. Past years have been wasted despite various warnings to states to look out of the center pause. Either they take the pain to cough out the resources to build internal revenue OR..... They Sink. I welcome alternate opinions fellas. |
In light of your vivid opinion about subsidy, what Nigerians now seek for is A WAY OUT, NOT A WAY TO. As an 'acclaimed' analyst, I think its probably more appropriate enlisting some of the ways Buhari can deal with the current situation and help stabilize fuel price. I doubt most PDPs with take this from you. Mr TonyeBarcanista, we need a way out but most of us here still find it hard accepting that stoping the subsidy thing is a right step. How about you list practical ways of dealing MORE DIRECTLY with the problem |
Why not ask why they aren't doing it yet?.... Bet you, The Akure whipping will be a child's play. |
Fake news anyway..... But if not, THEN LETS SEE WHAT FLATEENOS GONNA DO TO ABOKIS THEN!!... Sebi na Yeriba be cowards, oya the ball is now in ur court. Oya make we see another 1967 action film oooo. PS: I however hope you restrain your madness to ur SE if this turns out to be true. You may as well try it out anywhere in the SW and see if Yorubas give a damn about that your animal-made-human called Nnamdi Kanu. Trust me, you wouldnt want the media thinking its a June 12 repeat with you flateenos bearing the brunt this time. |
IlekeHD:Trust me, this one no be ajebo matter. And guess what? Even my Dad rarely make home visits. The first and last time I stepped there was 2010 and that was for the burial of my grandma. But mind you, I wont rule out going back to the state if need be, maybe for politics or any other reason.... As for my place, that's Omuo (dont know what LG that is |
IlekeHD:LOL Seems you really well acquinted with home unlike people like me. Only God knows when i will ever develop interest in going to my hometown |
ENOUGH @IlekeHD and Shymm3x There's no point picking on each other on trivial matters. Let it lie fellas. I beg thee... One love ma nygg Shymm3x!!! One love IlekeHD !!! |
naijababe:No matter how overpopulated a place can be, the most important thing that will strike out the effect of overpopulation is whether such place has the adequate capacity of resources that will either sustain the people's demand OR exceed it. l'm sure you know even a sparce community will suffer just like a dense community if the resources are found to be inadequate. As you have said, infrastructure FIRST, before people. I tell you Sis, no matter how loose we can be with our boarders for the hope of driving development, it will still fall short of expectations if we dont create the needed infrastructure first. |
