The directive is being misconstrued by many folks. The transactions involved are not the regular funds transfer from your account to another account. It's only in Nigeria that people issue cheques or other payment instructions recklessly. Your cheque is as good as cash in saner climes. Government needs to educate people in order to comprehend their policies. A lot of comments show ignorance. Applying punitive measures on erring bank customers is a welcome development. It boosts the confidence in the system and of the banking public. |

The lady in question is brazenly crazy, seeking cheap recognition by all means. People have thrown decency and decorum to the wind these days......... |
Nigeria is drifting gradually. Where is our value system? so many vices out there, my fear is that terrorism transcends Boko Haram with the current trend of events these days. These vices would continually rear their ugly heads as long as government pays lip service to poverty reduction. Nigeria is closely following terrorist countries like Afghanistan.May God heal our nation. |
This kind of situation only happens in a country with ambiguity in her legal system. Defection is absolutely abused in Nigeria, but the characters involved take advantage of the loopholes in our laws. Governor Aliyu's brazen display of supremacy is totally condemnable. Ibeto will not be the first and the last political holder to defect to another party. I love Governor Ibikunle Amosun's maturity in handling same issue in Ogun State. |
The major problem with this country is that we move on with our lives as soon as event overtakes a situation. It's sad to note that the cases are still unresolved and may remain so. Things will get better if and only if our value system changes positively. But law of karma will surely take its due course on the perpetrators of these dastardly acts. |
