From Information put together by Nigerian Tribune, the price of petrol is now N120 per litre. This information, Tribune claim, is as a result of a random survey they conducted in some cities across the country.

The situation in Kaduna, Kwara, Kogi, Osun, Oyo, Ekiti, and Borno states, they claim, is even worse. It is noted that the sharp rise in price of the product ranged between 30 and 40 per cent in these states.

In Maiduguri, a litre sold at N110 in the few stations that dispensed the product to customers after spending many hours on long queues, while customers paid N100 bribe each to station attendants before they dispensed fuel at N110per litre into vehicles in Kwara State.

In Akure it was reported to be N130 per litre at the few stations that opened for business, while the NNPC Mega Station at Iworoko Road, Ado-Ekiti, experienced long queues that caused serious vehicular jams in the environs. The situation in Oyo State was similar as the commodity sold for between N110 and N130 per litre, and some station attendants have been accuse of extortion. Interestingly, they claimed that there was no sign of fuel scarcity in Lagos State, as the official price subsisted within and outside Lagos metropolis.

Meanwhile, as the scramble for the fuel continues in the affected states, black marketers are said to be having the time of their lives, selling to desperate customers at N130 per litre.

Scam/Fraud Poster for Greedy people in Ladipo,OSHODI. At times knowing how to read and write could be a problem, looking at this poster/sign board which reads “Loan N50,000 to N1 million, Without Collateral with interest,Free loan without repayment plan” etc . I saw this in Ladipo/Oshodi and it reminds me of how i was eating office of about N2,000 when i was looking for job ( You how despirate young sec. sch leaver could be to get a job or something doing in other to be little bit worrisome to their parents) I know those born with silver-spoon have not witnessed this,So i paid the money to this agent who promised to get job of about 18-25 thousand naira in return, guess what happened, the address of companies i was giving is ” mama put” Car wash and other unexpected place, which i was told that i will be given the sum of N5,000 as per salary , which in real sense will not carter for my T.P left alone Feeding, i was bored and depressed, i goes to the agent office almost everyday, but nothing to write home, i got tired of spending and i resigned from seeking for job,the other place was 8k and so on. All this happened just because i can read and write, So experience has told me that Entreprenuership is worth engaging to.( Is selfemployment, and is the best employment one could get) So the fraud and scam in the country is bigger than the country. but have this in your mind wherever you’re reading this article from, that those who fall “Mugu” unwise is The Greedy people, who is ready to earn 1m with bare or no capital. His name is Saheed Adepoju and he is 29 years old. He is the inventor of the Inye (‘Inye’ means ‘One’ in Igala Language), a tablet computer designed for the African market. Mr Adepoju has a background in software development and is a Sun-certified Java programmer. After doing a first degree in mathematics and computer science in Nigeria (FUTMINA), he completed another degree in advanced computing by research at Bournemouth University, in the United Kingdom.
In a chat with the BBC’s series African Dream Saheed talk about his invention: “The Inye is a mobile internet device. It gives you access to the internet; it allows you to play media files and watch movies. What we have is an 8-inch device, a device that is half-way between a laptop and a mobile phone,”
The tablet runs on the Google Android OS. Other specifications include: Screen: 8-inch capacitive touchscreen; Processor, 1Ghz; Connectivity, WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth; I/O USB, micro USB, SD card slot (up to 32Gb), 35mm sound jack, HDMI, SIM card for 3G; Battery 5hrs; Storage, 8Gb internal, 16Gb in the box.
The company through which the tablet (which was first launched in 2010) was released is Encipher Group, a company he cofounded with web developer Anibe Agamah. The first 100 units of the Inye were built in China and, after receiving feedback from its users, a second version was launched in May 2011.
Part of the reasons why it is believed that the Inye will compete effectively with other Tablets in the market is its price which stands at about $350 (£225) as opposed to around $700 for an iPad. [b]Lagos – The police in Lagos on Thursday arraigned two businessmen who allegedly stabbed a man all over his body because of a girlfriend.

Chukwuebuka Ejiofor (28) and Ekene Kanu (30) appeared before a Surulere Magistrates’ Court on a two-count charge of conspiracy and assault.

Ejiofor and Kanu, who reside at 8, Amusa St., Bale, Orile-Iganmu, and 6, Agbonyin Ave., Surulere, respectively, pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Gabriel Ekundayo, said that the duo conspired and stabbed one John Paul on July 22 at a hotel at Coker, Orile-Iganmu, in a dispute over Paul’s girlfriend.

Ekundayo said that trouble began when Paul saw the girlfriend, Miss Oluchi Nwachukwu, (18), in the company of the accused where they were drinking beer in the hotel premises.

The prosecutor said that Paul demanded that the girlfriend should follow him.

“He accosted her to ask of her mission in the hotel but the men said that the lady belonged to them, and that he cannot take her away.

“Before Paul could say another word, they broke bottles and stabbed him severally all over his body,’’ the prosecutor said.

He said that Paul was still receiving treatment in a hospital.

The prosecutor said that the offences contravened sections 407 and 171 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State, 2011.

Magistrate M.A. Ladipo granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 each with two sureties in like sum.[/b]

The police in Lagos on Monday arraigned a 38-year old evangelist, Obiora Okoye, who allegedly obtained N1.6 million from his church members under false pretence.
Okoye, who resides at 3, Faith Estate, Toll-gate, Sango, Ogun, was arraigned at an Oshodi Senior Magistrate’s Court on a one-count charge of fraud.
Prosecutor Kehinde Olatunde said the accused in March, 2011 obtained N1.5 million from Chika Okoli with the pretext that he would procure a British visa for him and his wife.
Olatunde told the court the accused fraudulently obtained the money even when he knew that he did not own a travel agency or affiliated to any.
He said Okoye also promised to procure the complainant’s ticket and other travel documents.
Olatunde further said that the accused also obtained N103, 000 from Fidelia Ezonyeamu under pretence that he was going to help her brother, Michael Ezeifem adopt a child from a motherless baby’s home.
“Okoye organised prayer sessions and had been praying for Ezonyeamu’s brother, who had been married for two-years without a child.
“He promised to help them adopt a child from a motherless baby’s home, which he never did.”
The prosecutor said the accused absconded but was arrested by the police on 19 July, adding that the offence contravened Section 312 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2011. Okoye pleaded not guilty to the charge against him. The presiding Senior Magistrate, Mr. M. R. Osho-Adebiyi, granted him bail in the sum of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
He adjourned the case till 2 August for mention.[/b]
