6 goals in 17 games in the Belgian league is what he is making noise about grin ..

Belgian league that Nigerians have used to play around cheesy

Simon, Onyekuru,Kalu,Imoh Ezekiel, Joseph Akpala, even Osimhen..

I don't remember him calling Osimhen a lion after his exploits in Belgium...
I actually remember him saying something like Osimhen's exploits in Belgium was no big deal because of the quality of the league cheesy
Haha Bolasie was not even in the top 20 of goalscorers in Belgium

So much for a lion in a lower league

Your delusional misguided sense of reasoning precedes you.

What on earth has Bolasie got to do with Umar or the proposition of "Lion in a lower league". I see no relationship.

Bolasie is an Everton player who had an ACL injury, had surgery and lost form.
Some players are never the same after an ACL. He then had to go on loan because he simply could not meet the standard.

However, he is a bona-fide winger and the terms of assessment for a winger are very different from a striker. For instance a winger scoring 10 goals in a season would be considered exceptional but not necessarily for a striker.

Then when you look at things with a a bit of depth we discover he played 17 games only and was able to score 6 goals. That's not amazing but quite exceptional.

I see no double standard but then someone like you would and maybe a few others as well.

Yannick Bolasie lost form and lost his position due to injury and now it seems he has recovered and is getting back to form and as such is creating an issue because he is a natural winger which Iwobi is not.
You just argue for arguments sake, first you said he was a lion in a lower league then I brought out facts to show you he was not a lion in a lower league, you brought out ACL excuse

You didn't know he had an ACL before sprouting your lion in a lower league bullsh1t?

Get the fvck out of here!

As for your 17 game excuse, Sadiq Umar played only 24 games and trounced him with 12 goals and 14 assists ,Bolasie's position as a winger couldn't get him more assists than a 'flop' Umar? grin

Next time you come to chat sh1t bring your sense

Do not pervert my proposition to suit your nefarious narrative. There is a VERY BIG DIFFERENCE, but that will be lost on you.

Umar after 7 years in Europe, started off with Roma, then multiple loans in Seria A, B, then the Eredivisie as well as Scottish premier league. On all occasions he has been unable to claim a regular shirt very average but in the Scottish Premier league abysmal.

He then drops to the backwaters of European football after how many years in European football, with a league rated 20 in Europe, and is doing very well in that low level league.

However, is it a case of this is his level huh ❓ or genuine improvement. Until he moves to a better league he is still poor quality.

So when a player who has played in far higher leagues for several years without making any real progressive improvement drops 15 leagues below and then performs we should then say he is now a Lion.

He is simply a big fish in a very small pond, until he moves to the ocean we really can not tell if he he is a good swimmer.

You are the double standard bigoted hypocrite blinded by negative prejudice.

Finally, he is not the best in that low level league he not even in the top 5. So even the tag Lion in a low league is open to debate.
This is the top scorers list for the Belgian league, you know who is missing? The lion in a lower league Yannick Bolasie

To think that Bolasie who was bought for 30 million (The price tag you use to castigate Iheanacho) flopped at Everton, went to the Belgian league and scored a paltry 6 goals but Umar who was bought for nothing, had his early careers at Roma and tearing up the Serbian league is not a 'Lion in a lower league' is nothing but the height of delusion, but I'm sure you know all about it

Bolasie was outstanding quality until he got the ACL injury after surgery he struggled to get back to form.

Even went to the lowly rated Belguim league after he struggled in the Championship with Aston Villa. He then became a Lion as a winger he scored 6 in 17 games for Anderlecht his best ever perfomance. Did not do too good for Porto this season, just the one goal.

I really should have gone to watch the game but l had another game to go too.

It may be that Bolasie may find himself back in an Everton Shirt. That may spell trouble for Iwobi.

Because a back in form Bolasie on the wing is far better than Iwobi on the wing.
Now we know what a lion in a small league is

But Sadiq Umar who scored 12 goals and 13 assists in 24 matches in Serbian league is not a lion in a small league, double mouthed hypocrisy

Palace play long ball jare..
It's mostly when they are facing the big 6 teams that they revert to a more counter attacking style..
Add to the fact that they are potential relegation candidates..
Game time is important, yes but the quality of the team in question is more important..

In my opinion, all those teams below the top 10 in the EPL aren't very good places for young players looking to improve their play...
No they don't, who are they playing long balls to, Ayew or Zaha? Benteke didn't play much last season

Crystal Palace adopt a counter attacking strategy against all teams which usually starts with breaking up play in midfield and combination plays between Zaha and Ayew or Townsend

Those aren't very good options..

Palace typically play long ball football while West Ham are damn inconsistent...

But I guess moving outside England isn't on his cards...
Palace don't play long pass football, they play beautiful counter attacking football, West Ham is also good

Any of these clubs he joins will give him game time with is important for his development

I have seen his clips too and will say he is more similar to Chelsea's ngolo kante than matuidi

Kid is not the finish product yet buh his potentials is crystal clear, all he needs is lil polishing.

As for being good enough for the super eagles currently I don't think so buh with his current growth in a yr or 2 he is will be good enough for a place in the team's bench.
I would have compared him to Kante but Kante can maneuver the ball in tight spaces

Things I got from watching compilations of Alhassan Yusuf

1) He is a tireless DM/CM that can run the field 2 times without breaking a sweat
2) He is an aggressive tackler like Ndidi
3) He is an above average passer
4) His first touch is not good enough making his second touch almost a tackle
5)He can't operate the ball in tight spaces
6)He is a decent dribbler

Comparable player - Blaise Matuidi
Good enough for the SE now? - No

A host of clubs wanted his signature at that time including Bordeaux. Rohr probably advised him to choose them ahead of the others.

Frankly speaking Samuel Kalu has been the player that has benefited the most from Rohr's era as coach, he has had career guidance, help in moving to Bordeaux, personal trainers, personal relations with the coach and sometimes underserved call ups to the national team but his career has been on the decline and his attitude has not helped him at picking up off field obstacles here and there

He should take a serious look at himself

i was referring to his recent form in the GWG. even you will agree he hasn't been stellar in the last couple of matches he has played for Nigeria. i agree when fully fit and in form he's our best defender
It was just a defensive mistake against Seychelles but other than that he kept his cool and finished the match well, before then he was a part of the 'Oyinbo wall' that was impenetrable for Nigeria for many matches

Injuries may have been a problem but when fit Balogun is very reliable

Balogun is still Nigeria's best defender and it is not even debatable

But Moses won Samsung fair player of the whole tournament. I don't think Mikel was suppose to win the player of the tournament.

Anyway, from my own perspective, I think Victor Moses was the reason we won that cup. That's my own opinion.
From : Victor Moses singlehandedly won us the Afcon

To : He was a major part we won the Afcon

To : I think Victor Moses was the reason we won the Afcon grin
