The question says If 9+ 5 = 16, not if 9 - 5 = 16. The if was an assumption, so we work with the assumption. No where it was assumed that 9 - 5 = 16 on the question.

I'm currently unemployed and have been for the last two months, but I was able to find a teaching job which I'm to start on Monday. The pay is very little, just 30k. But it was better than doing nothing, just sleeping and eating with no source of income. However, before I even quit my previous job, I filled out a form to take a virtual assistant course sponsored by ALX, which is scheduled to commence on Monday, the same day I'm to start that job. The course is an 8-week program. The problem now is I don't know if I would be able to balance the two. My plan for the course was for me to stay at my mum's place. At least I won't have to worry about feeding myself, and I'll have enough time to learn and also practice. But the disadvantage is that my mum can sometimes be difficult to live with, and I'm usually very depressed anytime I stay with her, which is why I try very much to avoid going home.
Right now, I don't know if I should take the job while trying to also learn this course, or if I should go home, endure living with my mum, and focus all my attention on mastering this course. What do you think?
