Obviously nigerians aren't a monolith but it seems the majority viewpoint is that nigerians are still very conservative:

1. Still a very patriarchal society where women are objectified
2. Gay marriage is still illegal
3. Weed is illegal
4. Divorce is still seen as very taboo in some tribes
5. LGBTQ rights are almost nonexistent

• Lack of individual freedom at societal and even legal levels
• Inability of nigerians to separate religion from their minds
• Anti-intellectualism, nigerians won't accept anything said by then unless it matches their agenda.
• Expecting respect just because of age, or being any profession.
