kangminhyuksho: Lol what an opinion. So why is there rom in the beginning of a romcom or people that straight up make romance dramas, should they throw their scripts in the dustbin. God created genres and niches for a reason. If you don't like romantic dramas don't watch them but saying romance ruins a drama is just bull especially if the drama was slated as a romantic drama. It's like watching an action movie and saying too much fighting or shooting ruins the movie 🧐 I have said my own You cannur beat me All these romance none pf them happen irl |

You are given an integer n which represents an array nums containing the numbers from 1 to n in order. Additionally, you are given a 2D array conflictingPairs, where conflictingPairs[i] = [a, b] indicates that a and b form a conflicting pair.
Remove exactly one element from conflictingPairs. Afterward, count the number of
of nums which do not contain both a and b for any remaining conflicting pair [a, b].
Return the maximum number of subarrays possible after removing exactly one conflicting pair.
Example 1:
Input: n = 4, conflictingPairs = [[2,3],[1,4]]
Output: 9
Explanation: Remove [2, 3] from conflictingPairs. Now, conflictingPairs = [[1, 4]]. There are 9 subarrays in nums where [1, 4] do not appear together. They are [1], [2], [3], [4], [1, 2], [2, 3], [3, 4], [1, 2, 3] and [2, 3, 4]. The maximum number of subarrays we can achieve after removing one element from conflictingPairs is 9.
Example 2:
Input: n = 5, conflictingPairs = [[1,2],[2,5],[3,5]]
Output: 12
Explanation: Remove [1, 2] from conflictingPairs. Now, conflictingPairs = [[2, 5], [3, 5]]. There are 12 subarrays in nums where [2, 5] and [3, 5] do not appear together. The maximum number of subarrays we can achieve after removing one element from conflictingPairs is 12.
Constraints: 2 <= n <= 105 1 <= conflictingPairs.length <= 2 * n conflictingPairs[i].length == 2 1 <= conflictingPairs[i][j] <= n conflictingPairs[i][0] != conflictingPairs[i][1]
You should be able to solve this. |

kangminhyuksho: Biko it's first a romcom before anything else so it should have plenty romance. If they didn't want romance they should have made it a horror drama, a psychological thriller or a slice of life drama. If you call something romcom, I want to see plenty romance and comedy in it🤷 Dey play Rom com or not Too much romance ruins a film except it is a peroid drama |

kangminhyuksho: Random post: one of my favorite and probably the first Korean variety show I ever started watching was weekly idol because I mean, an opportunity to watch my favorite idols play about. Hells yes. The main hosts doni and coni were also so hilarious, the program was really fun. Sure they were times they took the humor over the top and it became "mean" but tbh it was never that deep and whenever people expressed dissatisfaction with certain jokes or segments, they actually stopped. I honestly thought I would watch the show forever but then I guess there was a conflict between the hosts and the producers 🤷 and they stopped hosting the show. Till date the producers have never gotten a better group of hosts for the show as far as I'm concerned. It was one bleh group to another until they finally settled on eunhyuk and hwanghee. They weren't as funny as the original hosts but they were so good and brought their own charms to the show and the fact that they are actual idols made it better cos they really understood the idol world and knew how to bring out the best in their guests. Sure doni and coni were great but they are primarily comedians so they prioritized the funny than anything else but eunhyuk and hwanghee in addition to being funny also prioritized the idols mental health. It used to make me so happy watching hwanhee hype every single member of a group by name. The other hosts would mostly focus on the most outgoing member or the member who they can pick on to get the most laughs but hwanghee especially made sure no one felt left out, that does huge things to a person's self esteem and if there's any thing idols need in huge quantity,it's self esteem. A few years later tho they also had to leave the host position then it became eunkwang and mijoo, sure they were fun and tried their best but honestly not enough, now it's monsta x's minhyuk and who sef a member of cravity or Wei I honestly can't even remember and they're trying their best but they just don't cut it. Especially the younger host, it seems like all he's there to do is laugh and react to minhyuk. As far as I'm concerned, the spirit and personality of the show is long gone. When doni and coni were the hosts, I would even watch episodes with groups I don't stan just cos it was that funny but now if it's not a group that I really really really love, you can't catch me near the show. At this point I feel like they should just cancel the show or come up with a totally different format. They've tried, I think it has been on air since 2011 or so (not sure) or they should get better hosts. If they want the hosts to be idols by fire by force, there are a lot of effortlessly funny idols. Just off the top of my head, golcha's Jangjun, sf9's dawon, n flying's jae hyun. Hell even some rookies that debuted last year are hilarious, oh my girl's hyo Jung and seunghee would also do a bang up job. It's just sad that a show I used to really like has now become boring mtcheww
*Currently watching*: head over heels, bitchxrich 2, law and the city, signal Song of the day: WW - cosmic girls Only head over heels makes sense small because of it portrays shamans, it for be better if they no do too much romance |

CoolUsername: Nigerian-made action horror comic. It's called Celestial Eyes. It follows a paranormal detective (who can violate my human rights anyday btw) who solves strange cases in Lagos.
Pretty good so far, it has nice art, the mc seems interesting, it also has fanservice and gore so I can't complain.
My biggest gripe is that there is some pseudo-intellectual yapping that feels like padding and takes time away the good parts.
All in all it was good read so I thought I'd give it shout here to support a Nigerian creator who is actually making good stuff.
PS: the fourth Pic is basically just the opposite of "Nah, I'd win."

abduleez1: Man, so many factors.
China has already rejected Hollywood movies in general, not just CBM per se. It's very few Hollywood movies that can gross fairly well in that market now.
Chinese love monsters or Kaiju movies or sea creatures that's why Aquaman 2 did $65mn almost two years ago. And explains Venom's phenomenal performance in that market. And Godzilla x Kong making $122mn last year.
CBMs are probably seen as pro American or big representations of America. Also they've been giving less screens to Hollywood films and CBMs. SUPERMAN wasn't even helped with Trump supporting it. So that was ALWAYS going to hurt it.
Chinese are very anti American these days. Also, this era coincides with Trumps 2nd term bid. The tariffs fight, and ensuing geopolitical tensions. It's also spilled to the movies.
The Chinese Communist Party are also weaning their audiences off Hollywood films. They've become self reliant now in their own local movies. Eg, Ne Zha 2 flexing its might earlier this year. Local Chinese movies have grown more patronage from mainland Chinese moviegoers and the quality can now be compared to Hollywood films and a much better relatable sociocultural themes.
They necessarily don't need Hollywood films to keep their cinemas in business now, as their homegrown industry can now do the job. Hollywood films are just looked now as additional boost for local cinemas not the shiny new toys they were looked as before.
So movies heavily promoting or seen as pro America will suffer.
There's also the fact that the average Chinese audience are now more selective and have grown better taste in movies. It's unlike before where shitty movies are rejected everywhere else but SAVED in China. That scenario won't work no more.
There's also niche factors peculiar to the market. For example, Fantastic Four— the number "4" serves as a bad omen for average SE Asians (China, Korea, Japan). The number 4 sounds similar to death in their own language.
So these are reasons why even big movies like Avatar and Avengers: Doomsday are going to seriously suffer in China. They aren't touching those bonkers level box office or enthusiasm no more.
Generally, Hollywood films ain't doing too well in Asia recently. Chinese films depends on IQyi Korean and japan films depends on Netflix |

Programming › The issue of engineer title by Suicideboy(op): 2:59am On Jul 18, 2025*. Modified: 3:02am On Sep 02, 2025 |
A web developer should not call themselves an "engineer", no matter if they're working on the frontend or backend. Neither should mobile developers. The only people who can have such a title are those who actually build the technologies that the web developers and everybody uses. I.e. the language architects and engineers, people building browsers, operating systems, compilers, etc.
If we think in the physical world, construction workers aren't considered engineers when they assemble bridges. No. They follow the guidance of the engineers, just like developers follow the specs created by *real* engineers.
If you call yourself a "software engineer", but you're a web developer, I immediately assume you're a forking zbeba. I don't give a fork if you're programming in C# or Java. You're building CRUD applications. You're not an engineer. |

If you grow up in a civil service family in a civil service state all you know is waiting - which is not how it works. jobs these days are based more on experience and skills than degree which is why you will see companies hiring highschoolers than uni grads |

Gerrard59: That's the problem with highly populated countries. The scenario you outlined happens in China and India. I once asked a Chinese grad at a job fair here, why Japan since your country has a much bigger economy? His response? The competition is too fierce. So, we've to go out. The same applies to university admissions. It's so competitive that bright folks have to go elsewhere so they get into good schools. Even after graduation, jobs are fiercely competed for in China notwithstanding the size of the economy. Invariably, birth rates are very low because the young people are tired and burned out. Whereas in Nigeria, young people are having four children. Tomorrow, they blame Tinubu 🙄 millenials are the ones having children here and there , gen z are too.busy aborting |
