Over here public transportation system gives me peace of mind. With less than 1890FT i can tour the whole city bus, tram, subway train and rail-train . There is no need for car hire or mortgage just like some people did. Besides driving requires so much energy. So if you see assistance of 90k now, you will use it to go and carry school load from wherever to lagos? Who does that? There is something called new beginning and starting afresh. Go figure.

Probably a late advice but don't go anywhere YET, I know it feels like everyone is moving so you seem stupid not to move, but that would be a "financial mistake" to move at this time. You are working remotely, therefore it means you can save some funds for a while. Move your funds to dollars and purchase some ETF Stocks with it like S&P 500 on Apps like Bamboo, Cowrywise or Piggyvest, it will most likely earn some value in years while you plan yourself very well.

Keep working & saving your funds, get more experience up until senior level before you choose to leave Nigeria. Tech is brutal outside Nigeria, you are competing globally with Chinese, Indians etc. A lot of companies do not even hire juniors outside Nigeria at all, In fact most people who claim to be juniors are intermediary level already. Those guys from Indians and Chinese are not playing around at all. Interviews are so hard too.

- If you can try and get an Undergraduate degree first before leaving Nigeria & ensure 4 years in school, It will favour you more than applying for such in Brazil.

- Research on Germany Opportunity Card, you will need around 24,000 Euros to apply. It allows individuals to come to Germany without a job offer and stay for up to one year to search for employment and enables part-time work (up to 20 hours/week) while job hunting.

Whatever you do, do not make the mistake of moving to countries with Digital Nomad Visas BUT do not have actual prospects of Tech jobs. There are 5 major countries in Europe for tech jobs, (UK, Germany, Netherlands, France & Finland). If you move to any other country in Europe, you have yourself to blame. Portugal looks nice on the Eye, but there are no jobs.

Education is probably off the table cuz I'm 27, dropped out of Uni because of some sh*t. Went into some business with an uncle and now got savings of about 10m. Went into front end development last year and got a remote job that's paying a bit okay. So yeah, I'm financially stable. But due to some reasons I can't go into, I've got to migrate to a decent country.


What are my options? I've only seen people talking about education and giving birth as the only legal means.

Reading (also known as bibliophile).

I hardly watch movies (unless of course its documentaries, comedy to cool off, or watching with someone especially women and children).

But you see reading, its either I have a book with me, or I am reading an e-book, or many people I follow on Quora and reddit. If I do not read in a day, I can seriously be moody.

Thankfully, bibliophile is not a mental illness, otherwise, I suppose don dey psychiatric home like this.

Many will lose their job if this happens. Most top developers don't have degrees in computer science or engineering even In top corporations. The problem is that the bodies or FED will put a backdoor in most applications serving as way to control it remotely intensionally . The most safest operating system is Mac and iOS it will take even security agencies forever to hack especially when you don't log your socials in a browser. I am not against regulation but software bug sometimes are features to monitor people.

I miss dramas with longer episodes, 16-20 episodes. I think these kdrama people have been listening to you cos you always complain when the series are long....(Although I understand your reason sha as some of them tend to drag unnecessarily). But what we get now are dramas between 6 to 12 episodes that have underdeveloped plots and characters and rushed endings. They should bring back longer episodes please.

Judging by the calibre of men who my flirtatious female classmates married, I believe her statement that "real men" don't care about a woman's body count when it comes to marriage. Bros internet here in chile is available everywhere. It’s not something anybody thinks of at all. Unlimited internet with cable is around 20000 naira a month. Internet is also everywhere. In public buses, libraries, malls. Like I don’t even think about that at all. It’s always available and super fast.

Outside of Lagos and Abuja land does not really appreciate in value. And in most civil service states there is no real development. You will come to the same place 10 years later. Some nice houses but that's it.same dirt road, same shitty internet, same 400% price hike on shit that is sold in lagos traffic jams.

My Take On The Dramas I Have Watched This Year.....So Far

Love Scout

I love this drama. It was one of my most anticipated since it was announced last year or so. I didn't really know the characters except the female lead. I later watched the male lead for the first time last year in Dongjae The Good Or The Bastard.

I like the plot of Love Scout. The characters played their parts well. I especially love the male lead's daughter. She is so cute.

However, I don't feel the chemistry between the leads. To me, that's what's lacking.

Check In Hanyang

This one.. hmmmm. I watched it for the male lead. I like him so I am managed the very nonsense drama.

Motel California

I stopped watching this at episode 5. I refused to stress myself over 2 dramas (this and Check In Hanyang) that I don't really enjoy. The leads here are not my favourites so it was easy to drop it.

When The Phone Rings

I really enjoyed this one. The story was good. The chemistry was 'chemistrying'. I could feel the love and restraints the male had for the female lead from the 1st episode.

Towards the end, the suspense was gone but it was ok. This one was good.

Study Group

This is a really good one. I love the plot, the humour, the fights. The male lead is so sweet, loyal, funny, innocent and naive. Lol. I first saw him in Alchemy Of Souls and he was my favourite character. Then I watched him in Lovely Runner, enjoyed him there as well so I was looking forward to this and I am having a good time with it.

As much as I loved Weak Hero Class 1, Study Group tops it for me.
*The fight scenes are more interesting.
*The comedy is really good.
*More information on the male lead, why he learnt to fight, how is struggles with his academics etc..
*Also, the guy is sooooo naive and innocent. It's so cute.
*His is more likeabke
*The villain is psychopath. What surprised me about the bad guy here is that he is a very good fighter. He doesn't just hide behind his minions. Their fight at the end will be brutal.

I am curious about his dad because apparently he is some sort of a genius. So I am hoping they show us more of that aspect of the drama. I don't think the dad was pressuring him academically but I am sure the mum doesn't put pressure on him to succeed. I am also curious about the uncle that trained him and why they cut ties as per the mum's request.

I hope it continues to be enjoyable.


The Queen Who Crowns

I wasn't planning to watch this but I am glad I did. They are still some questions left unanswered and the drama is ending tonight. Hopefully it will be answered in the prequel airing this month....I think.
*It was mentioned in the earlier episodes that the King lived with the queen's family when he was just a prince. Why?
*Why did he kill his brother, the former crown prince?
*Why did the queen run towards them shouting "no" just as he killed his brother?

They should just answer the above for me in the prequel and I will be fine. That's the only reason I will be watching that.


The Trauma Code: Heros On Call

I watched this and it was just an ok drama for me. I really don't understand the hype around it. Doctor Romantic was much more better in every aspect. Far better in my opinion. It wasn't a bad or uninteresting drama but I have seen something better so I really don't get why this one has so much paparazzi around it.


The Scandal Of Chun Hwa

I didn't plan to watch this at all. Decided to try the first episode when it came out and enjoyed it. However, I told myself that I won't take this drama seriously. This is the most informal historical drama I have seen in kdrama. I don't even know the boundaries of the palace. The royal families interact with the public unlike other dramas where the people don't even recognise their rulers outside the palace. The language sounds modern to me but I am not so sure as I am not an expert on the Korean language.

Even more than the main leads, I am very curious about the crown prince and princess. It's obvious they like each other so I am waiting to see their backstory revealed. Why do they act the way they do towards each other?

This king is the most annoying king I have ever encountered in kdramas. How can he kill all his wife's brother? Na wa o. And it's not as if he is a wise king because if not that she was his backbone throughout his reign, he would have been a failure. How did she not hate him though?
Both of them are the typical example of 'don't get involved in a couples quarrel because they will use you to settle '. After all he did to her, she still stayed with him and helped him be a good king.....though he is an idiot.
