With regards to the above, I reckon we should resuscitate this thread. Right, in as much as I am not too grounded with the financial labour market in Nigeria;I can give a little hint as regard recruitment from a strategic HR percepective which is my discipline. With corollary to what Jarus noted in a thread I came across on recruitment, I am of the view that the few bits hereunder will be of little help in event you get called for an interview in a seemingly hopeless "tipping point" that has rocked the entire financial world. Hence, the onus falls on you to take the bull by the horn cause another person is outthere ever willing to take your spot. It is imperative for one to note that the the days of closed-ended questions in interviews are long gone, hence it is high-time u braced up for a opened-ended question s which cuts across every discipline. What do I mean? In emerging HR,this process is called STAR , process audit ,or behavoural cum situational approach.More importantly, do note that this approach is aimed at appraising and evaluating your fluency cum competence. Therefore, you need to launch all the arms in your grammatical arsenal in a succinct form. S: This simply depicts what you did in a certain situation. Hence, if u claim you have worked probably in an accounting firm ,it is expected of you to state a situation where you probably have salvaged a situation with your accounting prowess. T: This acronymn stand for Target,in addition it entails a target you were given to attain. A: Denotes action, these are the steps you took in attaining the target.Issues to tackle here include:how you probably dealt with limited funds, the chain of command you employed in the course of the task among other key variables. R: The acronymn R stands for result, this is the eventual result of the task. This is just my little quota thou, addendums are welcome. |

UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS I had a swell time in my uni days as well. Year 1 Enjoku hall, year 2 and 3 I switched gears to Jaja room A206 pricesly, shit!I remember dem days, party all night from 11:45 to Green Lion n all dat. I remember Iya Calabar ,her rice was finger-licking, right across the hostel,we could only patronize her at night cos if any babe see u there,ur job don knock be dat.Year 4 moved over to Bq,Ozolua to be precise, gbogbo boy. We had the school on our fingers tips then, however G.P.A was a major concern.Hence, fellowship straight up to BLW,every wednesdays main auditorium still we couldnt get our eyes off dem ladies in fellowship.May God forgive. At the end of the day, graduated without an extra yr with a pretty decent grade. POSTGRADUATE BIRMINGHAM I got an accommodation in the uni,but I was out a couple of weeks after, rented a house with a couple of my men. This time around,I warned myself no messing about.Still, same shit everyday, with a lot focus thou. Graduated recently, now just letting the good tyme roll. The hard work is all done.Just praying for favour from Baba now. |

I'm waiting patiently as well. I tipped Yasmina or Philip for the final from the outset but I never gave Kate a chance;now I know better. I think the former might nick it thou, Yasmina's commitment might be questionable since she has own business. By and large,I reckon Kate thoroughly deserves to win. |
