Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has stated that his side should not be speaking of winning this season’s Premier League title after losing 3-1 to Manchester City in the Premier League derby clash on Sunday.
Three goals from David Silva, Sergio Aguero and IIkay Gundogan ensured victory for Guardiola’s men.

Forward, Anthony Martial’s lone strike was not enough to get a point for Mourinho’s side.

Mourinho, however, has now stated that the Red Devils cannot think about the English top-flight crown, adding that they must first try to make the Premier League top-four.

The defeat to City leaves United 12 points behind the Premier League champions.

Mourinho told Sky Sports: We are outside the top four. How can we speak about the title?

To speak about the title you need to be in the top positions. So let’s fight to close the gap and jump into the top four, if one day we jump into the top four, we’ll see what the difference is.

It’s 12 points. I think our team is improving a lot, even defensively conceding three goals, it was a positive defensive performance.

We knew that there is a difference in potential. Since the beginning of the season, we knew that our second position last season was a fantastic achievement for us, and this season we are going to fight for the top four.

We are outside of that, we are having very difficult fixtures, away at Chelsea, away at Manchester City, almost impossibly difficult for us to win three matches in a row. Now we have to go for it and try to build on what we are doing.

Barcelona defender, Gerard Pique admitted his side have a problem with their porous defence after the La Liga leaders were beaten 4-3 at home by Real Betis on Sunday.
The Spanish side conceded four times at the Nou Camp for the first time in over 15 years.

Barca trailed 2-0 at halftime and even though Lionel Messi struck twice on his return from injury and Arturo Vidal also scored for the Catalans, Betis still made history.

They became the first side to beat Barca at the Nou Camp since Alaves in September 2016.

We know we have a problem and that we are conceding a lot of goals, more than we have conceded for a very long time, Reuters quoted the Spanish international as telling reporters.

We will almost never be the team that concedes the fewest goals because of our attacking philosophy, but we know we have to improve.

Barca still lead the standings and are one point clear of Atletico Madrid, Alaves and Sevilla.

However, they have let in 18 goals in 12 league games, more than 13 teams in La Liga.

It’s not an individual thing, it’s a group problem. We have to focus on it and work together, Pique said.

It’s basic stuff which we know and we have talked about. On Sunday, we faced a very attacking team and we had to take risks.

Fulham are reportedly considering a move for Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko in January.
The Cottagers spent around £100 million during the summer transfer window but still find themselves bottom of the Premier League standings having lost each of their last five league games.

Tiemoue Bakayoko is currently on loan at AC Milan, but Calciomercato reports that Fulham could look to swoop for the 24-year-old when the window reopens in the New Year as they try to bolster their squad further.

The France international was deemed surplus to requirements by new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri following a frustrating debut season at west London, while AC Milan were also rumoured to be considering terminating his loan early due to poor form.

Arsenal are considering allowing Danny Welbeck leave the club in January, despite Unai Emery desire to retain him in his squad, the UK Sun reports.
Welbeck’s current deal expires in the summer of 2019, when he will be available on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old has however made 13 appearances under Emery in all competitions this season.

Despite the Spanish coach’s trust in Welbeck, Arsenal bosses do not want to miss out on a transfer fee and will listen to any offers in January.

Jose Mourinho has been warned by Manchester United’s owners, to stop publicly criticising the club.
The UK Sun reports the club’s hierarchy fears that United’s worldwide reputation is being damaged.

Mourinho took a swipe at the club’s transfer policy, following United’s 1-0 defeat to Juventus, by suggesting he hasn’t been backed in the transfer market.

Inter Milan striker, Mauro Icardi has stated that he has no plan of leaving Inter in the coming months amid speculations that Chelsea are preparing a bid for the striker.

The Inter forward is one of the top strikers Maurizio Sarri wants to sign this January, but could cost about £90million.

Chelsea’s board are determined to back Sarri in the next transfer window and are prepared to spend a huge amount on a centre-forward capable of making the Blues win the Premier League title.

Chelsea have completed the signing of a new goalkeeper.

The Blues brought Finland youth international, Lucas Bergström from Turin Palloseura.
