Hello everyone,

Please does anyone know anything about birthing recently in Maryland?
I went through pages and pages on this platform and got pretty good information but some of them
Are far back as 2014,2017 etc.
Please does it still take as long as 2 months to get birth certificate in Maryland?
What are the cheapest hospital rates for Maryland in recent times?
Is Virginia better In terms of cheaper hospitals and timing of collection of birth certificate?


What’s the average time to get the US passport now with all this COVID buhaha

I gave recently in Virginia , I would say Virginia is cheaper than Maryland, sometimes hospitals in Maryland have hidden charges that may be sent to you in the mail after birth but ask questions to be sure , birth certificate takes 8-10 weeks if u want it mailed to you in Virginia but you can walk in to get it as early as 12 working days, you will need to call office of vital record to know when it’s ready and go with your id, each copy cost 12 dollar, if you want to walk in don’t pay for it at the hospital else it will be mailed , for application of passport i did that in Maryland cos I had to return to my family there and I expedited it took exactly 15 days for it to be mailed to me, I would advice u get 2 copies of the birth certificate cos u would need to submit original birth certificate to apply for passport, and it is mailed seperately from the passport, while the passport took 15 days to arrive , the birth certificate I submitted to them took a month to arrive.
